The best restaurants serving British food in South Wales

Fab place! Really great selection on tap, like Sharps Atlantic pale ale, a hazy ipa, guiness, Worthingtons cream ale, Madri, Staropramen, doom bar, also flavoured ciders. Love the outdoor seating! Also, how awesome is the canine menu! So welcoming for dogs. Friendly staff too. Food looks delicious!

Went here tonight for the first time. I was put off my visit from the offset. My partner was parking the car because it was hammering it down, after giving my name, the waiter went to what I think might have been the kitchen, before seating us. I asked another member of staff if I could order drinks whilst my partner parked, as I know how much he’d love to have a Guinness ready for him. I asked what I think was the manager, to whom he replied, I believe my colleague is serving you, can’t you see in soaking wet (from the rain). He then proceeded to roll his eyes and scoff at me. No, I didn’t notice you were drying yourself, and even if you were, don’t do it at the bar, where it was usual for people to ask to order a drink? I wouldn’t be writing this review if I was just met with no problem, I’ll get those for you as soon as I can. Having worked and lived in pubs my entire life, this certainly isn’t the service I would’ve provided, especially to evidently new customers. It put a sour taste in our mouth for the whole time we were there. We won’t be retuning.

What a wonderful pub. The bar staff were welcoming and friendly, we hadn't been here before but we will definitely be back. The band is amazing just waiting for the second half.

The theme is good, also the food is pretty good as well but it’s not too accessible as the size is rather small but overall a good chip shop!

Amazing service here, came here for food and drinks on my stag and I cant give enough praise to the staff who looked after us, the food is great and the boys definitely got into the spirit of the evening, we felt very welcome and at home, by the time we were leaving we could barely walk and even the locals at the bar got chatting with us and some even aided in the games. What a great atmosphere, great staff, what a night! Will definitely have to go back in the future, thanks so much guys for having us 🙏

Dogs barking non stop, full of kids swearing. Jacket potato Tuna mayo I ordered just came as tuna with no mayo. Jacket was dry as a bone why they didn't put butter on it ill never no. won't be going back.

Lovely pub with a babbling stream at the front inhabited by a tribe of ducks, Inside it is spacious and has a large outdoor seating area, the main reason for visit is the excellent vegan food, we had a great night with friends for a 50 th birthday.

Absolutely amazing food and an amazing experience Great options as well. Very nice to sit outside and catch up with my family. Definitely recommend

Fui aquí con algunos compañeros de trabajo.La comida era deliciosa, realmente disfruté el plato de lubina que tuve aunque pensé que había demasiadas habas que venían con él. Me encantó la presentación y la vajilla.El ambiente era bueno y el personal estaba realmente encima de asegurarse de que tuviéramos suficientes bebidas, etc. Todo estaba bien explicado al principio y me sentí cómodo yendo allí.¡Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

Pretty lowly place. Went in on a Saturday afternoon, and the ladies there don't seem very keen to be working. Slammed my pint of coke down, then when I went to pay told me it's a minimum spend of £5 on card, which is utter nonsense. You could charge 50p if you wanted too.. So I got stung for crisps and nuts I didn't want. Old looking inside and in dire need of some love. Beer garden looks reasonable for a nice day.
