Tasted as good as it looked and it looked wonderful. Very friendly and helpful service. My mother was delighted with it.

Wonderful Sunday lunch with a wide voice of vegetables

Loved the atmosphere and the food was fantastic. Great menu and so delicious. Very friendly, relaxed and cosy. Loved the French onion soup, Scotch Egg starter, Hake, Lamb, Veg Lasagne, Steak, Lavender Creme Brulee and chocolate mousse. I was all so good..

This was a great find on our way home from Butlins. Feeling hungover and in need of a good Sunday dinner, we found the Greyhound Inn on Google maps and it was just what we needed. A good traditional Sunday dinner. I had the beef and there was more than enough meat. A lovely big Yorkshire pudding and veg. The biggest gravy boat I've seen so plenty to go between the 4 of us. The staff were so lovely and quick to be served. Would definitely call in again if we are in the area.

We had an amazing stay this weekend.. my only issue was that the room had no air con but then again as its such a beautiful place i didnt mind! Staff were incredible, great service and really friendly whilst totally professional. Definitely coming back again soon.

Great restaurant food and service was excellent

Absolutely stunning food had the merlot beef brisket and my husband had beer battered cod food was fast and delicious service was fantastic staff are super friendly all in all a 5 star in every aspect.

A beautiful day so sat outside with our dogs . Staff looked after our needs . Enjoying the river and relaxing environment. Food was enjoyable 😁 I had a jacket potato and my mate had the steak and ale pie. 🙂

Went with a small group for the Sunday lunch buffet. Good variety, average quality and taste, below standard service. Plus points: vast selection and salad options were particularly good. Good drinks options especially non-alcoholic alternatives for those of us driving. Nice general atmosphere and the buffet is well spaced so didn’t feel too crowded etc. The main waiter that served us had an unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude and had quite a peculiar obsession with the drinks menu. 3 of us asked him to leave the drinks menu at the table while one of our party was looking through it and apparently it couldn’t be left with her in case we got gravy on it - quite odd considering we were a table of adults and had only just sat down so there wasn’t gravy around anyway! There were some other bizzare things but the general attitude was not pleasant or helpful. Perhaps he was tired after a long shift and we caught him on a bad day as I’ve seen other reviews on here that are complimentary of the same person. The lady that checked us in and sat us down was friendly, polite and helpful though. The other waiters collecting plates did so efficiently. Food was average, standard buffet quality. Nearly all the glasses we were served drinks in were dirty. Overall we had expected more considering the venue so felt quite underwhelmed and wouldn’t likely return for the Sunday lunch buffet.
