Absolutely stunning food! Lovely staff! Real family friendly place Amazing definitely worth a try.

Good food, good portions. We were lucky to get a table which shows how popular it is. Friendly staff, Will visit again when in the area.

Love the Greyhound Inn, dinners are just perfect, all meats cooked melt in your mouth veg done just as it should be, so delicious an plenty of it, an the Yorkshire pudding youd wish you had more, the owners are very welcoming the staff is so helpful they cant do enough for you, an the seating area are perfect, and its extra special because you can take your fur babies with you in their garden , so thank you Grayhound Inn,

The Greyhound has a time bound special offer of a meal for two costing only £15, from 12 o'clock, Monday lunchtime only. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the service was very quick, and the meals were awesome.

Another incredible Mother's Day Meal. After 10 years of visiting we still love this place. The food is incredible and the staff are so welcoming. Even gave us a mother's day cupcake on the way out.. highly recommend this venue

My first visit and this was the best Sunday lunch I have ever had eating out. The staff were lovely and if I had a criticism it would be that there was just too much food for two people (or it could be that we just don't eat as much as some). Nothing was over or under-cooked and all of the vegetables retained their flavours. The kitchen staff must be praised for achieving this...as someone who ran a food business I know how challenging it can be. 10/10!

Nice place and lovely atmosphere

Awful experience at this pub yesterday. Went with family, four of whom have been going regularly on a Sunday. One of these regulars had hot gravy accidentally tipped on her arm and leg by waitress who was mortified. Her clothing stained and we had to take her home instead of continuing on with are afternoon plans. She brought wipes and paper to clean but not one member of management came over to see if she was ok. Utterly disgraceful. After we ate are mains. Myself and one other of the party went to the bar to order desserts. We were ignored for more than 5 minutes and a lady who came from a large party in the conservatory area came to stand by us and was served before us. When I was finally served I explained to the staff member what had happened and could the person have a free dessert in light of the spillage. Well the look she gave me was disgusting, almost laughed at me and made out she knew nothing of the incident. There was blue paper roll still left by our table that the young waitress brought. Another young waitress also seen what happened and commented on it to us. Will never visit here again.

Great food and service. Polite and helpful staff ordered me a taxi as I am visually impaired and buses are infrequent (only 2-hourly). Only complaint is background music : Rap and Hip-Hip do NOT suit the more-elderly Demographic who frequent this pub. PLEASE change it, Greyhound!

You get a very warm welcome from all the staff at the Greyhound Inn. Fantastic food and well priced. Plus they do doggy icecream for our 4 legged friends.

What a brilliant place to go,weather for a drink or meal. The food is fantastic and very well priced. The atmosphere chilled and the staff are spot on. After your meal sit in the superb beer garden which is an amazing sun trap. Yep this place has it all even Sky Sports.

PILE IT HIGH SELL IT CHEAP must be this place's motto. Afternoon tea is like going to a kids party. If you love children's party food then this is the place for you. Rude staff who couldn't care less that you are not happy with what you have received.

Afternoon tea advertised as all home made and before booking we were also told all food provided for afternoon tea was home made. When in fact you get Jaffa cakes, mr kipling vienese whirls, kiplilng angel slices, tesco 99p cupcakes and Cadbury mini rolls. More like a kids tea party than an afternoon tea. Rude staff, who when questioned about the quality of food provided, they answered with "what do you expect" but denied the cakes being shop bought and insisted they were home made. Also pizza on an afternoon tea? A new one on us. Had to regularly ask staff for more tea there was no offer of more or question did we have enough. Rude staff, rude owner, awful food and awful service. If you enjoy children's party food I highly recommend the afternoon tea.

We, as a family, we just had Sunday lunch here, and it was superb. The choices were Lamb,Beef or Chicken and the veg was all served in separate dishes and plentiful. (Extra gravy boats too) Highly recommend this pub , great ales too.

Visited The Greyhound at Christchurch for Sunday lunch today. There was four choices of meat and an abundance of fresh vegetables (cabbage, carrots, swede, peas, roast & boiled potatoes, a yorkshire pudding with a beef choice) plus a delicious gravy. The food was served promptly by friendly waiting staff and was absolutely delicious. You can choose between a small or large meal when it comes to the quantity of meat served but please note these quantities are extremely generous and the meals are exceptional value for money. There is a good selection of desserts available from the chilled cabinet, all served with a choice of fresh cream, ice cream or custard. If you are looking for somewhere to go for Sunday lunch you should definitely consider The Greyhound at Christchurch, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely return.

The perfectly thin slices of meat came from a ‘packet’, as did the veg, along with what seemed to be pre-frozen roast potatoes. It all tasted bland & highly processed - not a hot, cooked meal that a chef or somebody qualified watched over, hours before. I felt it was slung on a plate, blitzed in a microwave, then gravy was added. I’d paid extra for a selection of meats, but had the paper thin beef, boiled chicken & turkey & no lamb. If I were to be honest; after a few mouthfuls, i guessed the lamb would have been just as disappointing. It didn’t cost the earth before we were directed to our table & we left most of it on the plates before making a hasty retreat. It wasn’t worth the bother of trying to get the money back for two very sub-standard Sunday lunches. We won’t be giving this place a second chance.

Christmas lunch for 9 of us after golf and it was superb, a warm welcome and excellent food, Excellent value and the beers are kept well with a good choice .

We usually go to the Greyhound for Sunday lunch when I don't want to cook. The staff are efficient, and have a sense of humour, and the food is good - especially the gravy. You have to book for lunch as the restaurant is ALWAYS full for Sunday Lunch.

Gorgeous food lovely staff food and atmosphere

Really had a lovely Sunday roast. Well worth the money. You can have a large or small plate and there was plenty of choice of meats and vegetables and I certainly would recommend. We look forward to returning.

Good atmosphere, staff friendly, good pub food, shame they did not ask if we wanted pudding, but main course was big. Music was bit loud in conservatory. Dogs are allowed in garden only, Not inside.

Sunday lunch was delicious. You could have a small plate (7.50abt ) or a large plate (9.95abt) to choose from. I am sure we paid around £25.00, for the meals, for three of us. A good choice of meats and vegetables were served in dishes so you could help yourself. For drinks we had tea, a glass of red wine and a soda and lime, just under £8.00 Would definitely recommend and we enjoyed having a family catch up.

Went here with visitors from abroad. Was told by our friend not to have the steak as they were dry and tastless so opted for fish and chips. What a big mistake. Started eating the fish at the tail which was thinner and just cooked ok but extremely bland. The thicker the fish became along the fillet the tougher it became also colder in the centre. The fish was actually bouncy. It was frozen, old and had not been properly cooked. This was the same on the three fish dishes we were given, We all stopped eating . I told the waitress and got a " yeah, I can see you didn't enjoy it" only because we had eaten part of it. She collected the plates in a huff , walked off and offered nothing as an apology. Disgusting food and poor response to our issue. Will never return

Having not been for years, I was quite keen to go back but left disappointed, food was bland and felt like visiting a Weatherspoons. Staff were friendly and welcoming but biggest issue was food, I ordered pie but had to go searching for the steak and very dry. Wife ordered a vegan cottage pie and had to leave it as was inedible. Such a pity and hope it was an off day!

Disappointed. Went on recommendation. Packet food at Gastropub prices. We weren't made to feel welcome. Very quiet. Not surprised. There's much better pubs in the area. The high spot was when the waitress slammed the spoons down on the table. Wont go back. Wouldn't recommend.
