Parc Pantry in Newport

The best place ever! Been coming to Parc Pantry since it opened and it never fails to amaze me! Love to bring the kids for Saturday pancakes and it is my local spot for catching up with friend whenever I have the time. Absolutely amazing and is a must to visit for anyone who hasn’t been 😁

Great service. Food arrived super quick even though it was lunch time. And BOGOF burger Thurs is a bargain.

I ordered takeaway afternoon tea for 6 people over the Easter weekend. The food was amazing and there was so much! There was a mix up with my order (my fault!), and the ladies in the shop sorted it out straight away when I went in to collect my order. 100% will order again and would recommend!

My Daughter took me there for a mother's day tea it was amazing we will be back

Food is delicious so would have give 5 stars for that. Unfortunately they refused to take cash, so that’s why it is a 3 star.

Great place to get a bite to eat and a lovely tasting coffee. Breakfast menu is great, lunch menu is a little less so. But still great options available. Coffee is great, much nicer here than any of the mass market places

On first impressions the place and the menu looked lovely. However our coffees were luke warm as were our breakfasts. It wasn’t even busy when we were there so not sure what the excuse could be. The menus and tables were sticky, left over from the day before as we were one of the first ones in there that day. Disappointing as it was recommended as a good place to eat. Will probably give it a swerve going forward.

Breakfast was lovely. Pancakes looked small but filled me up they were deceiving. My husband wasn’t fussy on the full cooked breakfast but it look very nice. They sell fresh ground coffee which is beautiful. Cakes for sale are homemade which were lovely.

Nice little coffee shop. Popped in when visiting the hospital. Lovely coffee.

Great little place, very generous lite bites

I love this place and come every time I pass through Newport. Their food is fantastic - I've eaten in before and had a delicious salad. Today I had a cinnamon bun, a strawberry lemonade (which was like heaven in a cup) and purchased a box of tray bakes to share with friends - they usually have an offer on these (today was 3 for £8). I had the brownie, custard cream blonde and a Lotus slice. They even offered me a takeaway tub of water for my dog! The staff here go above and beyond EVERY time and that's what makes this place special and makes me a repeat customer. Great food, great service - 10/10.

Had afternoon tea but had to pay full price for a 4 caramel lattes £14.20 instead of the tea or coffee that's provided on their site it said £2 extra for special coffees!!

I absolutely love the Parc Pantry. I can not fault anything about it. The food is amazing. Can get very busy, but to be honest, it only adds to it charm.

Truly awful, unfriendly service received. Food mediocre but nothing special. Coffee was very nice. Overall, left feeling utterly disappointed with the lack of customer service received.

Recently popped in for breakfast. Ordered a bacon sandwich and I was told they are unable to trim off any excess fat for me! No idea why not they just can’t do it. I had to do this myself on a tiny plate. There were only 3 small medallions of bacon between 2 very large slices of bread now. Seems petty to many I’m sure but it cost £4.50 and not a difficult request!

I went with my friend for a treat and our breakfast was awful. I’ve been here previously (a few years ago) and it’s always been high quality and really good. But it appears to have gone downhill. The eggs were very burnt and my friend had shell in hers. My bacon was pretty much raw on one side and burnt as hard as wood on the other and my eggs were also burnt. My friend had eaten about 2/3 of hers before finding egg shell so she was told she can’t have a refund because she had eaten too much, she explained that she didn’t start eating the egg and find the egg shell and how burnt it was underneath until then. I had only eaten about 1/4 of my food before finding and being put off by the issues. But they wouldn’t give me a refund either and they couldn’t say I had eaten too much of it so they didn’t even give me a real reason why I couldn’t have a refund. Their attitude towards us wasn’t great. They were immediately defensive and I got the vibe that they were told to refuse refunds no matter what. We were very polite about it and they acted like we were chancers and our reasons weren’t valid. The eggs were absolutely cremated and inedible. The manager tried to say that we should have said straight away when they brought it out… so my friend was supposed to find shell in her egg without touching the food? A lot of the issues were hidden until we started getting through it. We never complain when going out for food but it really was awful. It would have been nice if it was cooked properly and more care taken but it was cooked appallingly. Not what you expect when paying £10 for a breakfast that I couldn’t even eat. Will never visit again.

Lovely little find, decent coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. I loved the music, the toilets were clean and with baby change and there's parking outside if you get lucky!

Ordered food for the team and everything came out super fast, all the staff are so friendly and helpful - plus we all thought the food was stunning, I ordered for collection and by the time I travelled back to mamhilad, everything was still piping hot and the food looked as good as it did on the pictures! Couldn’t recommend this place more, one of my favorite places 😁👌

Lovely food, menu lovely choices which are a little different from other breakfast places. Pancake stack looks small when it comes out but is very filling and delicious. They serve homemade cakes from the counter which are gorgeous and they sell their own brand of coffee beans, which is gorgeous but very exspensive £9 for a average sized packet.

Lunchtime visit. Got there just in time to grab a large table for the 3 and a half of us before it got busy. Multiple baby chairs are available (just ask). Great selection of meals. Breakfast until 12 pm, lunch menu follows. Had 3 mains, 2 additional portions of skin on fries and 3 drinks that came to £14/person. 🏆 If you can stomach a dessert, there are numerous options of sweet treats to hit that sweet spot. All a hearty sized, unlike those global coffee shops tiny. Custard slices as big as a brick... OK, I'm exaggerating, but it was huge 😊 I look forward to sampling the breakfast next visit 😋

Nice selection of food. I had the avocado toast which was nice but was a little bland. Great portions though. And my friends had the fry up & the pancakes which they raved about. Lovely little spot and great service

Nice place to sit and have a coffee. Sadly my coffee was not very hot. There was a huge queue so obviously very popular. Lots of people having brunch and the food looked and smelled amazing.

Called in today for breakfast our first visit and wont be our last. The coconut hot chocolate is definitely worth a try and loved my pancakes

Absolutely awful sorry but I can't think of another word for it. The sandwiches were like doorsteps and the mayonnaise was dripping from the bread. There were no savouries in there. A huge piece of Victoria sandwich of which the buttercream was hard and couldn't be spread on the cake. A plain scone that was so dry it was inedible. A cup cake that honestly you couldn't name the taste two squares of tray bakes of which weren't cooked right through and had mouthfuls of unbaked mixture. A welsh cake some grapes 1 strawberry and a teabag. That was £15. We had six of them and the majority of the contents went into the bin. We were so looking forward to this as we watched the rugby. Ended up eating a bag of crisps!!!.

It may have changed hands, the menu is now fry up in the morning, burgers and wraps in the afternoon. They didn’t have tea cakes so I asked for Scone but apparently they’re only for afternoon Teas! I also notice it recently dropped its hygiene rating from 5 to 4, I don’t know if it’s gone back up.

Friendly local coffee shop with a great vibe. The coffee is stunning. Lots of vegan options but unfortunately not for me as someone who hates avocado and doesn't do veg masquerading as meat. The other food on the menu looked excellent.

Be warned; kitchen closes at 14:10 after being informed by the server that no food orders could be made at that time. Bit rubbish.

I stopped on the 27/08 for a quick breakfast with my boyfriend and although it was super busy, the waitress with dark hair that served us (sorry, didn't ask for your name!) was extremely patient and friendly, trying to accommodate everyone. She even proposed herself to swap our takeaway containers for plates when a table suddenly freed up. It made my morning. Thank you again!

Breakfast menu is fantastic - great choices and something more classy than your average café! Was a little odd to be told that they'd run out of bacon, sausages and mushrooms at 10.30 on a Saturday morning! They altered the breakfast to streaky bacon which was more than acceptable. I was quite surprised to see quite so many seeds (devil pips) on top of my avocado as they weren't mentioned on the menu but after I'd picked them all off, it was delicious! Staff were very efficient and friendly and food was good value for the quality!

Great coffee and friendly staff

Visited today with a group of 5. Me and my friend arrived first, as well as two other couples not with us. The staff seated them first and separated the only large table left in the dining area. Our friends arrived a couple of minutes later and a larger table had become available, the lady who cleaned the table was incredibly rude and abrupt to us about cleaning the table, my phone was the table and she stated ‘do you want to move so I can wipe the table’ so I picked up my phone and scooted back to which she just huffed and went ‘alright then’. Me and my friends were completely shocked at her customer service and planned to leave the restaurant but as we didn’t have time to eat elsewhere we stayed. Lady behind the tills was lovely and the food was nice but won’t be returning again.

Loved it. Lovely staff, great food with veggie/vegan gluten free options, YaY! I will definitely be going again.

This place only takes payment by card not cash I found the staff rude.the menu is a joke.for a breakfast full English £9.if you find yourself in malpas I would avoid this place.go into newport as theres a lot of better cafes there.

Mummy wanted to go out for breakfast so we came here, I had a babycino with so many marshmallows, I knew Mummy and Daddy would enjoy all my energy for the rest of the day.. I had a delicious toasty, Mummy had something with avocado, which I don't like but I did like the squeaky cheese, Daddy said his breakfast was good and he let me have some bacon, sausage and 'matoes.. I don't know where I put it all, we had a lovely breakfast and I think everyone enjoyed me singing the alphabet and the rainbow as loud as I could. Taran, age 2

Went in to place an order for breakfast roll only to be told they'd ran out. I left empty handed

I got bored of working from home, so thought of the places I most like, when allowed to eat out. Thankfully Parc Pantry have reopened for collections, so I did. Food excellent for lunch and great coffee. Nice to see a face too.

Parc Pantry state their hours to be until 3pm. Just arrived at 2.28pm to be refused service as the “kitchen closes at 2.30” . Great.

I was a bit disappointed when visiting today. I’ve heard good things about the cafe so I wanted to check it out. It was very hectic, probably wasn’t a good idea to arrive during Saturday lunch as the place is quite compact. The person behind the counter seemed very stressed which is understandable but it just didn’t give a sense of a warm friendly welcome. I felt almost like a nuisance for ordering food to take out because there were no available seats. Maybe it was just the circumstances but it wasn’t a very good first impression. The staff could of just been a little bit more accommodating and not seeming overly irritated.

Nice coffee shop/food venue. Staff very friendly and food and drink were good and not too expensive. They also sell cups and coffee, jams etc. Started giving 4 stars (which is a good rating) but I couldn't think of a reason to knock a star off so 5 it is.

Really great full breakfast at the Parc Pantry in Malpas. Very tasty and filling, sautéed potatoes, bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes covered with sunflower seeds and herbs. The cafe/ Deli is a really great place to eat, and the decor is very nice. The staff and the service the offer is very good and helpful. Abiding by 2021/22 covid restrictions, that always helps. Would recommend 100% for a bite to eat, and so far on this UK tour, the best decaf coffee so far.

Really cute and lovely place. Food is usually good. Coffee is nice. Sometimes though the customer service could improve as not always the most welcoming, the barista usually ignores you. The waiters tend the be friendly though.

An unassuming local coffee and brunch venue. Lovely decor excellent staff and a great full breakfast. Most full breakfasts have a simple from the frying pan and grill taste but real thought had been put into making their offering special. Great coffee a little Gem

Amazing food, super friendly staff. Covid conscious all the protocols in place in a non-invasive way. The Raspberry Ripple latte was awesome!

Staff said it was okay to enter with a dog as the vets were next door so a great position . However after a 10 min wait we were told by a different member of staff no dogs. Bit strange as they are directly next door to the vets. Missed chance I think. However a sticker on the door would help solve this in a second Haha. Cannot rate food or drink but rating is for lack of info and for the waiting to be seated. Never mind will spend money in a dog friendly cafe. Found the Summergrove vets next door very bad as well, so all in all not a great day.

Had lovely food when we could eventually get a booking. Waited forever to get back after lockdown, had to book over 3 weeks in advance & after 1 week of being open to indoor service, suddenly they cancelled my booking & used the excuse that people weren’t turning up so now it’s a first come walk in basis. They’d only been open 1 Saturday. That’s Rubbish customer service. The food IS nice though but I won’t be back to take a chance of getting a seat.

Really love the food and drinks here but please sort out the I-pad till. I have been charged for items I didn't order at least 5 times in the last few months. I realise the till is oversensitive and a refund is issued without any problems, but it's frustrating you need to check the bill every time.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife and as always very impressed, the staff were very helpful and we look forward to returning again in the near future

Quite rich but really nice. Pulled pork hogie, halloumi falafel, chips loaded with buttermilk chicken. Recommend all 3 together for 2 ppl. And a biscoff latte - nice nice!

Lovely food and home cooked not processed rubbish. A little expensive compared to near by places but otherwise no faults other than the food offered Is compact with other ingredients so if you've gone for plain sandwich you'll be disappointed as they only team favourites with other bits to make quality items of produce.

So pleased with the lunch I ordered for my team today from Parc Pantry. The menu was excellent and had plenty of different options to choose from. The order was ready on time and collection very easy and safe. The food was absolutely delicious - so much so that I didn’t get any pictures as everyone ate their food so quickly! We will definitely order again in the future

Bought a Cuban sandwich. Waited about 15 minutes for one of the best sandwiches, I have ever had. So delicious and it was a fair size. Would highly recommend this place. Will return.

Always a good selection of hot drinks on offer and you can order online to collect, which is convenient for me. The cakes are absolutely amazing and I just seen you can buy the whole thing 😍

Lovely handmade fresh cakes and other healthy meals available all day, you can’t go wrong with this place so much care and love is put into its food as well as customer service

The food and drinks are very good here, I would highly recommend trying it for yourself. The wait outside for takeaway orders is a little frustrating but its due to covid guidelines so I do not mind too much. Its worth the 9 mile round trip for me.

Really great pizzas on Friday night for our take away treat, thank you! Traditional plain cheese and tomato for me, and Bloo Moo for my husband - both so good, and so filling. (Leftovers were good too on Saturday!).

Fresh! Fresh! Food. Daughter suggested meeting for lunch here. Not an obvious spot to find such a nice little cafe. Food was fresh and delicious. Not the run of the mill choices which made it even nicer. The 3 of us had different lunches and each of them were delicious. We bought a cake to go as lunch was filling. I would absolutely recommend you try this cafe.

Tried this cosy little place after recommendations from friends. Was not disappointed! We managed to find a table for brunch, which was lucky as by 11, there were no spaces available (on a Tuesday). We went to order our food and our eyes nearly popped out at the selection of home-made brownies and cakes near the counter! Our food was served quickly and was delicious. There was a bit of a canteen atmosphere from the noise of everyone talking, but this didn't spoil our enjoyment and we're planning to return very soon. Staff were polite and friendly. Great menu, great prices and great service.
