Visited here on a coach day trip (PD Yorke), had our breakfast here which was lovely, staff very friendly. Would definitely return

So pleased to see Aber has a Cafe Nero! THE best coffee house. I popped in for an Americano with oak milk, had a few issues with my app but the male barista was very helpful and sorted it out for me- thanks! Lush, strong coffee.

They had a nice ketchup dispenser, and the food was very nice. However! The issue here is with the type of amefa cutlery they used, it really doesn't fit the environment and takes away my immersion, there are much better amefa cutlery but they picked the most bland ones.

I only had food here, a Sunday lunch. It was probably the tastiest Sunday lunch I've ever had. They didn't have any room in their restaurant, but were very willing to cater for us in the bar area, which seemed quieter and more relaxing than the restaurant area.

It was quite busy when we went. We ordered via the app and despite asking for no ice in any of the drinks, 2 of the 4 arrived with ice. The app gives you waiting times for food and drinks, but we waited longer than those times. There is plenty of seating, both indoors and outside. It is wheelchair and child friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Maybe I saw this place at its worst, early on a Thursday evening when I was the only customer. It might be better at 10pm when you are with a bunch of friends and have been to several other hostelries first. The bar is large, with a vast barn behind to accomodate a large number of drinkers who never seem to be present. The barmaid was pleasant enough and served me with a pint of non-descript cold but drinkable beer. I did not eat here or see any signs of what food might be on offer. I remember this pub when it was the Prince Albert, a favourite with rugby players and usually fairly busy...but that was half a century ago. this sparse review is all I can say now.
