Cracking place, very central. Very much a "sports bar" feel to the place. Loads of screens for your spot & sensible bar prices😁

Had sunday lunch veg was nice meat was really tough.

Our 6th time staying at Harry's and it never disappoints us. Met lots of old friends and plenty of new ones, David, vanessa, all the staff r amazing, food is amazing, i would rate our 3 day 10/10 highly recomend u stay there

One of the staff at the bar was horrible, serving us the wrong drink and then after we paid he took our drinks and proceeded to shout at us to get out. He was a balding man in a white shirt. Just because was having a bad day doesn’t mean he had the to do that. Safe to say we won’t be returning.

Went there with a group of friends for Xmas dinner . Ordered vegan meal for me - mine was very disappointed with mine , very , very expensive for what it was . Emailed them twice and no response- very rude

We called yesterday for Sunday lunch while shopping in Aber,we hadn't booked but the barman offered us a table for two in the restaurant or the bar,we opted for the bar which had a lovely atmosphere,we both ordered the Sunday roast which seemed quite reasonable at £ 13.50 each,we didn't have to wait long until it was served. The food was excellent,fresh ant tasty and the staff were very helpful and friendly and the manager couldn't do enough for us.The Guinness was probably one of the nicest i've tasted and the price was not too bad at £4.40 a pint which is £1.10 a pint cheaper than the inflated price we pay at our local hotel and pubs down the road in New Quay,we will definitely call again soon.

After a day taking my grandmother shopping around Aberystwyth we decided to stop at Harry’s for Sunday lunch. Portion size was great, food was cooked really well and the service was friendly and quick. Well worth the visit for a Sunday lunch.

Even before we reached the restaurant, I received an untimely phone call inquiring about our arrival, a good 20 minutes ahead of our reservation. Upon our arrival, the waiter displayed extreme rudeness and impoliteness, leaving us with an unwelcome feeling, all while making it apparent that he was inconvenienced due to staffing for our booking. Throughout our meal, he repeatedly addressed me as "sweetie," which made several members of our group uncomfortable. To add to the frustration, he started clearing the table while we were still eating, without bothering to check if I had finished my meal. Afterward, he seemed determined to rush us out of the restaurant by moving tables and signaling his desire to go home. This entire experience left me feeling both upset and appalled by the waiter's behaviour.

Absolutely disgusting and shocking for the price. Kids menu is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food you receive and the price and food quality in general is diabolical. Definitely gone down hill drastically in the last 2/3 years. Wouldn’t recommend you’d be better cooking at home.

Lovely breakfast at Harry’s restaurant. The food was really tasty and you could help yourself to tea and coffee as well as juices. They even helped me with a takeaway breakfast.

Good tasty food - friendly staff very attentive and the bistro area was spotlessly clean, do not be put off by the bar the food is good value and the drinks are reasonable but it is a sports bar so a bit of noise is expected

We had no complaints about the food; in fact it was well presented and enjoyable. However we made the mistake of going on a Saturday evening when the bar was packed with people enjoying watching a football match on TV. Before booking I assumed that the bar and restaurant were totally separated as they appeared from outside. How wrong was I. The noise was deafening making conversation with fellow diners almost impossible. Even after the football ended loud thumping music was turned on. We planned to have a sweet but couldn’t face the noise any longer. I’ve heard that the Sunday lunches are excellent but as there is football on at Sunday lunchtimes i will not go near the place on a Sunday.

Lovely food once we were recognised almost walked out in a quiet pub and bar staff looked straight through us even though we had booked saved by the fantastic waitress roast was fab roast potatoes the best I have Ever eaten out Value for money

Firstly, Roxy our waitress- top notch. Very courteous & welcoming, thank you! The steak was amazing- medium rump cooked perfectly, luscious peppercorn sauce, the mushroom was delightfully crispy & the onion rings were the best I've tasted! Crispy outer with buttery onion. The chips were also gorgeous- light & crispy with a fluffy interior. Can't praise it enough!

Went for a family sunday lunch this weekend. There was only one vegetarian option on the menu which was a spinach and ricotta canneloni, very different to the usual sunday lunch vibe! Maybe suggest offering some kind of nut roast so vegetarian people can still feel like they're having a sunday dinner? The canneloni was obviously just heated up from frozen, and didn't come with any sides whatsoever, disappointing considering the same price as a sunday roast with all the trimmings (£11.95) if I remember correctly Also its a good thing I'm not vegan otherwise there would be no options available at all!

Certainly the current best Sunday Lunch in Aberystwyth. Perfectly cooked locally sourced lamb that tasted amazing. The carrots are the most carrot-y carrots I’ve tasted since last winter, beautiful. Cauliflower cheese great, service just superb and good wine too. And if that wasn’t enough, the prices are super too! Highly recommend.

Very surprising venue. Seems to cater for everyone. Sports bar theme through much of the downstairs but with a lovely quiet relaxed restaurant area with lovely food. Apart from that there seemed to be quiet and busy places in which to watch the games.

We had well presented fish and chips. The atmosphere is that of a glorified pub. It is wheelchair friendly.

Busy bistro style eatery. Very pleasant hard working waiting on staff, good food. Vegetarian burger and chips with side salad reasonably priced. 2 mains, 2 puddings and 2 drinks for £30 - good value for money!

Food is lovely visited on several occasion. Would recommend the hunters chicken style dish. Simple and tasty no frills food. Restaurant is nicely set. Can be noisy when there is sport on in the bar area. Sadly male bar staff are rude and not service with a smile. Use to have friendly students working, now the rating reflects staff not the food.

Our family visited for an evening meal. Service was very good as was the food. Hot and tasty. We all had desserts too which were lovely. Definitely recommend.

Been to Harry's many times, top notch food, in very comfortable surroundings. Wide choice of quality dishes, all of which are a taste extravaganza. Not the cheapest of eats but you get what you pay for.

At the bar I paid for a drink and naïvely waited for change for 10 minutes, thinking the server was looking for change at another till, but he just never returned. I eventually told another staff member that I was waiting for change, who went to speak to the barman, returned, and avoided making eye contact with me whilst proceeding to serve other people and ignored my existence. After another 5 minutes I told the manager, who also didn’t believe me and was very rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and upset because he thought I was lying. I wasn’t made to feel welcome at all. I certainly had better things to do than ‘lie’ and wait at the bar for 15 minutes for change instead of joining my friends. After supporting this bar for years it was upsetting to be treated this way.

Visited with some friends for Sunday Lunch. Very much your typical pub food, wholesome and hearty! Starters did take a little while to appear but once they did, they were delicious!

The quality of the food and service was great but the bar and lounge were incredibly noisy. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were very good

Just had a very poor excuse of a Sunday dinner. My wife ordered the beef and Guinness pie. The meat was cold in the pie. When the pie was sent back after completing it was returned , not a fresh meal but the original meal just reheated. The server just literally dumped the plate on the table upon returning said reheated meal. The chicken curry was tough . Only saving part was offered free puddings at the end.

Having asked and had confirmed that a gluten free Sunday lunch was available, my friend and I sat down and ordered two lamb lunches. Mine came with all the trimmings and looked lovely. My friend was presented with a few slices of lamb on a plate, accompanied by some carrots and broccoli for us to share. No potatoes of any description or gravy for my gluten free friend. When she complained that this hardly constituted a ‘Sunday lunch’, she was offered, rather begrudgingly, a baked potato. She then had to ask for butter to accompany it. Before that arrived, a young man claiming to be the manager came to ask what the problem was. His attitude reminded me of Basil Fawlty, at his most obnoxious, from Fawlty Towers. He then tried to make out that she hadn’t informed the staff of her dietary needs and proceeded to remove her meal and say she didn’t have to pay for it! She hadn’t actually had anything to require paying for! He was actually the person she had spoken to iniatally to confirm that a gluten free lunch was available!

My wife and I visited Aberystwyth and had a meal at restaurant here.

The restaurant is very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and the service was really quick, we were hardly waiting five minutes once we had ordered our food.

Very busy as it was grad week. Service excellent, price excellent atmosphere excellent. No waiting around, shame we didn’t discover this 3 years earlier when the child first landed in Aber.

Whist the atmosphere wasn't the greatest and the decor could possibly done with a spruce up the staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was really good and as for the prices, definitely would go back again if I visited Aberystwyth

Went in here on Aug5th for a quick drink. My partner decided to order 2 meals. We both had lasagne with chips,side salad and garlic bread. We waited about 20 minutes for the meals. When they arrived, they looked very tasty! Served pipping hot, they were delicious. The young man who served us was very pleasant.The place is clean and friendly. The meal was very good value. I would definately go back and would recommend to anyone wanting a meal in town!

It has been a while since we last visited Harry`s until our visit in March for our sons birthday. we all ordered different meals which arrived beautifully cooked & presented on nice hot plates. we were well looked after by a delightful waitress from Roumania who had obviously been well trained. She was really pleasant, helpful & smart.

Called in for lunch out of the rain. Took advantage of a special offer 2 main meals for £12.This included a soft drink. We had sausage and mash which was delicious. Creamy mash and 3 local sausages. Our bill was therefore reduced by nearly £10....

Beautiful Sunday roast with all the trimmings. All freshly cooked produce and plenty of it. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The menu looks good and the food is tasty if you're not too fussy. Mine was Hunters Chicken which was covered in cheese and to be honest was a bit chewy. I didn't finish it. The portions are good and my chips went cold before I ate them.

I'm generally a little leery about 'bar food' but this was a very good meal. Reasonably priced and delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly. Would go again.

Typical pub food on the menu. I had the sausage and mash, the gravy was quite salty but it was nice enough and it satisfied my hunger after a long day.

We were quite late getting back in to Aberystwyth on a Sunday afternoon from a day out and so weren't expecting to still get a decent Sunday roast. But Harry's was still serving and had a full range of roast meats still available. I had the roast beef and my wife had the roast pork both of which were excellent cuts and the vegetables were delicious. service was prompt and attentive but no room for pudding, which is always a shame. We can highly recommend the Sunday Lunch

Ate here on a Sunday evening in July – many restaurants in Aberystwyth are closed on a Sunday evening – read TA reviews and decided to give Harry’s a go – arrived after 7.00 pm – only one other couple seated – menus arrived – drinks orders taken – no draft beer – food orders taken – appropriate timing for food delivery – I had the chicken curry and chips – tasty but not overly spiced sauce with loads of chicken pieces – hot to table – my wife the scampi and chips – standard fayre – hot to table – nothing special – overall good grub sufficient for a Sunday evening – thank you

Went for dinner on daughters recommendation , nice place ,nicely decorated. Was shown to seat promptly, nice table,service was good . was quite busy as was graduation week so lots of people about. Ordered from the menu ,good selection.Meals came promptly. My gammon steak was slightly overcooked and a bit tough, the chicken in the burger was very dry . Other two meals were ok . We ordered two desserts I asked for cream but received ice cream but after pointing this out was brought a jug of cream too.Overall was ok would return ,maybe at lunchtime to try the deals.

Went to Harry's for lunch, where we have been quite a few times before. We have bought a place nearby to Aberystwyth so after shopping it was a treat to enjoy comfortable surroundings and excellent food.

Wonderful breakfast meal...done perfectly...too much to eat but gave it a hardy effort it was too good to leave. They know how to cook!

I ate Sunday roast at Harry's on Easter Sunday. We arrived quite late (7pm) and all options were available and it was busy. I had lamb which was lovely and the veg and potatoes were really good too! All in all great visit

We ate dinner there in early time, around 6 pm (Thursday and Friday nights). Thursday night was really quiet. Friday was quiet busy after about half hour we were there, it was weekend after all. Food were great both nights and generous portion. Service were nice too and. Friendly waiter/waitresses.

The food was nice,and the restaurant was clean and tidy. However with the bar linked to the restaurant, it was a very noisy atmosphere. The staff were polite and friendly, but were very busy. Service took a while all round.

Called in to take advantage of two meals and two soft drinks for £12 at lunchtime. We had some good, pub standard, pasta meals with nice chips and salad. The cranberry juice we ordered was a little disappointing, coming as pints of water with cranberry squash added. The Sharps beer was nicely kept.

Just returned home from another excellent meal at Harry's. The restaurant and back bar were full of parties eating, but the staff were cheerful and helpful throughout the evening. Food was plentiful and piping hot, and all meals arrived together - not an easy feat when we all ordered different, and with some special requests. Fantastic meal with very generous portions! Had 3 courses which was amazing! Place was clean and service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble foe them. Locoation very central and within easy walking distance to other bars.

We had intended to go to another restaurant but it was closed. They advised us to try Harry's Bar a couple of doors down. I was accompanied by two grandchildren. We all found something to our taste and ordered. Apart from a table of four men having food the place was empty, which didn't look good. The food arrived and was very nice. Along with the drinks though it came to £28 for a lunch for three which is too pricey to make it a regular thing. Perhaps that's why it was quiet even though the food was very nice. Shame. I would like to return in the evening to try it out.

Harry's has an identity crisis. Bistro going for intimate, but busy and loud bar made eating hard. Food was okay, Burger and chips probably frozen, garlic bread good, carbonara good but a bit too rich for my taste. Service was quick and polite. Priced competitively. Needs to decide what it wants to be, won't be returning as due to the noise from the adjoining pub we couldn't enjoy the meal.

Eight friends had a lovely evening's meal here with excellent service and tasty food. My Greek salad was a delicious and generous portion.

We had two great meals here as we had the burgurs on the night which where very nice and large and then we had a panni on the satuarday afternoon which was nice and filling

arrived late afternoon and got a free upgrade which was brilliant. The room was lovely although right on a very busy road, traffic is not a problem for us but the noise from the house over the road was awful, I think they went to bed about 3 tho.Had a nice meal in the bistro, nothing special but more than ok. The male staff are very friendly and efficient same can't be said for the females tho (not rude just not bothered).Lovely breakfast

We ate here twice once on Fri once on Saturday. Friday we had basic meals. I had a cheeseburger which was cooked and seasoned well and my wife had spaghetti bolognese. Both were nice and really tasty. Both my wife and I had Mango and Pineapple cheesecake which was to die for. Homemade by the chef! And served with really delicious ice team. The second night we both had Sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. My wife has hers cooked rare with me having it medium-rare. They both arrived over cooked (both one stage up, I got medium and my wife medium-rare). I sent mine back but my wife was just too hungry. The chef explained that the batch of steaks were a little thinner than usual so he was having a tough time getting them right. Other than the small problems with the steaks they were real great pieces of meat fat on one side with nothing running through the meat itself. Nicely seasoned and really tasty. The peppercorn sauce had the right creaminess and wasn't too peppery. The onion rings seem to be homemade and you can really taste the difference. Again we had the same desserts as before because they are just that nice. The staff were all amazing both times and couldn't do enough to help.

We checked in to the hotel room it was OK. Not fantastic but as we were only staying 1 night we thought it will do.Went to have a shower, the water was so hot we could stand under it...... there was no cold water! We also found out that the main bedroom light did not work! So it was going bad to worse. We complained and yeah they did move us...This is where the surprise came in. We were moved to another room out the back of the beer garden TO A FLAT! WOW!!!Was amazing a whole flat to ourselves! The flat has never been used so we were 1st ones in there. All I got to say is thank you cos you made out stay in Aberystwyth a better one!

The menu is large and varied, and when the food came, it was obvious it must all be frozen. I had mussles to start which were tough and chewy, and a steak to follow which was really over cooked. My partner sent his steak back (i was starving so just tucked in but mine was really over cooked too) as he asked for it rare and it was more medium/well done. The waiting staff seemed to take it personally and questioned what was wrong with the way it was cooked. It took ages for a new one to arrive, a rare steak would have taken minutes to re-do. Hence again thinking it might be defrosted from frozen and then cooked. We are not people who complain normally, and aren't fussy with our food, but it really wasnt acceptable. It looked really nice from outside and we were expecting gastro style food, but it was really just microwave food. When we complained it took three levels of supervisor and manager to authorise a discount on the meal. It was really fair of them to deducted our main course from our bill, so it was nice they did that. Our evening was really ruined by the meal and we felt really annoyed we chose this place for our only evening in Aber. I really wouldn't eat here if visiting the town, there must be much better options.

Had lunch here with a large group and we were impressed how well the staff coped with the orders and with getting the food out. Lovely food and very good value. Those who chose the fish and chips said it was fantastic - lovely big piece of freshly battered cod.

The only reason this review is so high is because of a barman who deserves a special mention. Gaz was so attentive and friendly. Fabulous service and is very skilled at the job he does. Would come in again just for his service.
