Arrived late in Aberystwyth hungry and thirsty, so this was exactly what I needed.

I love this place. Sadly, they have now changed their food and drink offerings. I loved the Kopperberg on draught, but it has been withdrawn now. Also the peri peri Chicken has disappeared from the meals. They were my favourites. Nonetheless, the choice is plentiful and cheap. Great location.

Had a day in Aberystwyth and headed for the local Wetherspoon for a bite to eat. Nice building and surroundings.

My husband had fish admittedly the small, but boy was it small ridiculous he should have complained then but wouldn't will start looking for somewhere else fir lunch

Food is decent, however the staff are not very nice and bar people for no reason embarrassing customers in busy public spaces.

we went for some lunch and in my opinion it was the best Wetherspoons lunch for a long time. It was cheap but fantastic so we will be going back to that one in Aber.

We had a special valentines deal for us both, which was very cost efficient. The crumble is a keen favourite. It was ight. Would highly recommend you check out the toilets, if you can find them.

Ordered mixed grill. The meat tasted and looked as though it came of the heal of a man's shoe. Absolutely awful. Weather's pools used to be the place to go. That's me finished

It was quite busy when we went. We ordered via the app and despite asking for no ice in any of the drinks, 2 of the 4 arrived with ice. The app gives you waiting times for food and drinks, but we waited longer than those times. There is plenty of seating, both indoors and outside. It is wheelchair and child friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Living locally, my first visit in several months. Venue tired, in need of some TLC, to the standard of other flagship venues. No stirrers for the coffee, 20 minute wait, I was the first customer at 08.00? The waiter aplologised for the wait, it was obvious maintenance in the kitchen was being carried. A big general business failure due to lack of communication, and advance information signage. The breakfast was ok, cold beans and plate(H&S!) 2 cups of coffee, still value for money.

Probably the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. Noodles Raman bowl with chicken. Noodles were over cooked and slimy, chicken was bland, white with no flavour swimming in loads of lukewarm over spiced water.

Chips under cooked. Chicken very hard. Aberystwyth we won't eat with you ever again

It's a Wetherspoons so you know what you're getting. Great location, great beer but slightly limited food selection compared to others and service from the app is frequently very slow.

I really like it here. Good cheep coffee and decent grub but I used crutches to get around. As a result I frequently have to pull the door so hard to make it sure doesn't hit me while going through. It smacks the wall. Out a disability openen on it please

A great Wetherspoon situated in a part of Aberystwyth train station. All the staff were attentive and happy. Food was good and speed of service excellent. Highly recommend.

A really great Wetherspoons as they go! Only annoying that one of their coffee machines is perpetually broken so the queues get a bit long.

Small Cod and chips is pathetic

Fairly decent food now after going through a patch of it being awful. Can't argue at the prices and the quality is pretty good.

Lovely building but that's about it. Air con on full whack in December! It was freezing and like sitting in a wind tunnel. Staff said they couldn't do anything about it even though several people complained. No hot drinks available either as all machines out of order. Food pretty much instantly stone cold. Was also more expensive than the spoons in Birmingham.....

Sadly prices keep going up, quantify of food keeps going down along with it's quality, sad to see but staff are always happy to help where ever they can.

Chips cold Herb chicken looked like the day before and cold .The cold chips replaced and refund on the chicken.However how a chef/cook can think its ok to send food out like this or a waiter / waitress can serve it is beyond me very dissapointed

Terrible food, rude staff. Ordered a chicken and it came burnt. Could not put a fork in it. Staff found it funny that I wanted a fresh one cooked

Waiting was terrible, had small fish and chips. Fish was similar size to a fish finger. Chips were nice. Shame about the fish.

Gets very crowded later so usually go for breakfast.

Only had a pint as it was Baltic outside but was ok

Not much to say really. It's Wetherspoons. Food was ok. Nothing amazing. To be fair the service was swift, but then again everything that's served here is just heated up. Step up from McDonald's? I'm not so sure.

University town so full of students but the staff were working hard to clean the tables and tidy up. Food was as expected.

Typical Wetherspoons, food good but not exceptional. Staff cheerful, atmosphere, helped by absence of loud juke box... just needs live music!

It was a lovely experience there, I have been a few times and I definitely recommend the lasagne. Unfortunately on my latest visit when I ordered the BBQ chicken melt it did come out a bit well done so to speak but it was still edible and the rest of the food was quite nice

Absolute disgrace! Ordered a cheeky snack of chillies to be told the order was a joke. Would not recommend. #waitressout

I am absolutely livid. I ordered 6 slices of bread to my table and the waitress said I was taking the mick. I didn’t get a refund either. What a joke, If I could give zero stars I would.

Don't mind queuing if everyone else does,visit regularly but need to be consistent at the bar with service.

Can't fault it for friendly fast service and good value for money. If you use the app table service is available.

To loud, to noise snd staff seriously need training in how not to be Karen's to children. I work in hospitality and would never talk so rudely to a child. So NO not very kid friendly!

Typical Spoons, nice building but toilets miles away upstairs. Food okay and reasonably priced. Good time to visit with the Real Ales festival taking place.

Normally very nice but on Saturday 5th of October, the worst meal I've ever had there, could hardly cut through the meat on the mixed grill it was that over cooked. I don't know how anyone could send that put thinking it was ok to serve.

We ordered food. the Gormet steak meal when it came it looked gorgeous....BUT when we started eating it was less than luke warm....they took it back and we had a new meal. but unfortunately when we started eating it. it was again luke warm. very disappointing. we didn't eat that either. we had full refund. The drinks are brilliant food disappointing

Friendly helpful staff in a well positioned area on the railway station complex.

Had to move tables from outside in the station patio area to inside, as people were smoking on the platform area next to the patio. On the other hand, the food was really good, and the bar staff were friendly.

Typical spoons was really busy (freshers week), staff was like a production line in and out of the kitchen and bar credit too them was working hard.

Popped in for a quick drink before our meal and was very pleasantly surprised, very good location and atmosphere.

Great location, handy to pop in for drink/ lunch before or after a long rail journey.

Steaks are tough and over priced won't be going there again

Just your normal Spoons. A big pub. The best thing is that you have to queue up to get served. We sat outside at the end of the under covered train station which was a novelty. The food we ordered was delicious and didn’t have to wait too long. It was clean throughout and the staff cleaned the tables promptly. The toilets are upstairs. Definitely would recommend

We went for food and ordered a small fish & chips, but it was just batter with no fish. When we complained and asked for a replacement the waitress said that is what the small fish is. When we said we wanted to change the order we had to pay the extra and when at the bar to pay they tried to say we had changed our mind and we made the point to say that it was not to a satisfactory standard.

All good, delicious food and good selection. Pub atmosphere, although a bit larger and brighter.

Only there for 40 mins prior to catching our train home to West Mids. Seating areas all under cover of station roof. Very good choice of beers and atmosphere

Large place in an amazing building. Big area separated by a glass partition. The usual feel to a Wetherspoons. Usual tap beers and a few real ales available. Food being served as usual. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Beer was good and cheap. Mixture of wooden and flag stones on the floor. Quite light and airy with the conservatory type roof. Enjoyed my visit.

The app made a mistake and made me order twice. I was charged four times for it. This is such a joke. I asked for a refund but was refused because I used Apple Pay.

An absolute dump, the worst spoons I’ve ever entered.

Not the nicest of places. Tables left covered in empty plates and glasses. Floor littered with bits of food and paper. 4 staff behind the bar all ignoring customers. Only nice person seemed to be the manager. But I suppose you get what you pay for. Food wasn't bad though

Usual wetherspoons food. We went on bank holiday weekend, busy but we were able to get a seat. Good atmosphere, clean facilities. Quirky environment being in the old part of the train station. Food was nice, my nephew loved the burger! The Korean chicken looked so good! Would recommend!

My husband and son just visited wetherspoon in Aberystwyth with friends they were very disapointed with the breakfast they had , The eggs,mushrooms,beans,were cold and burnt toast will not visit again.

Compared to many other Wetherspoons this one was way below par. Wiltshire ham was like the cheapest possible, only one drinks machine working. But the worst was the toilets. The area we walked through to get there smelled so bad and the flooring was disgusting. Staff were friendly and efficient and portions were ok.

Great location, food portions were tiny compared with other spoons.. Ordered a cheese burger and came as a normal burger, felt the member of staff was very confrontational about us paying an extra 80p.. Either way we'd deffo Ordered a cheese burger. He then checked the receipt and low and behold we had ordered one. It's a 10p piece of cheese. Lol

Alright food, Went here a few times and the steak came back complete raw inside, Waiter returned back a even more raw steak, Other then that its a bloody lovely resteraunt
