University town so full of students but the staff were working hard to clean the tables and tidy up. Food was as expected.

Typical Wetherspoons, food good but not exceptional. Staff cheerful, atmosphere, helped by absence of loud juke box... just needs live music!

It was a lovely experience there, I have been a few times and I definitely recommend the lasagne. Unfortunately on my latest visit when I ordered the BBQ chicken melt it did come out a bit well done so to speak but it was still edible and the rest of the food was quite nice

Absolute disgrace! Ordered a cheeky snack of chillies to be told the order was a joke. Would not recommend. #waitressout

I am absolutely livid. I ordered 6 slices of bread to my table and the waitress said I was taking the mick. I didn’t get a refund either. What a joke, If I could give zero stars I would.

Id'd twice in 5 mins and bad attitude of staff (I just had food)

Don't mind queuing if everyone else does,visit regularly but need to be consistent at the bar with service.

Can't fault it for friendly fast service and good value for money. If you use the app table service is available.

To loud, to noise snd staff seriously need training in how not to be Karen's to children. I work in hospitality and would never talk so rudely to a child. So NO not very kid friendly!

Typical Spoons, nice building but toilets miles away upstairs. Food okay and reasonably priced. Good time to visit with the Real Ales festival taking place.

Normally very nice but on Saturday 5th of October, the worst meal I've ever had there, could hardly cut through the meat on the mixed grill it was that over cooked. I don't know how anyone could send that put thinking it was ok to serve.

We ordered food. the Gormet steak meal when it came it looked gorgeous....BUT when we started eating it was less than luke warm....they took it back and we had a new meal. but unfortunately when we started eating it. it was again luke warm. very disappointing. we didn't eat that either. we had full refund. The drinks are brilliant food disappointing

Friendly helpful staff in a well positioned area on the railway station complex.

Had to move tables from outside in the station patio area to inside, as people were smoking on the platform area next to the patio. On the other hand, the food was really good, and the bar staff were friendly.

Typical spoons was really busy (freshers week), staff was like a production line in and out of the kitchen and bar credit too them was working hard.

Popped in for a quick drink before our meal and was very pleasantly surprised, very good location and atmosphere.

Great location, handy to pop in for drink/ lunch before or after a long rail journey.

Steaks are tough and over priced won't be going there again

Just your normal Spoons. A big pub. The best thing is that you have to queue up to get served. We sat outside at the end of the under covered train station which was a novelty. The food we ordered was delicious and didn’t have to wait too long. It was clean throughout and the staff cleaned the tables promptly. The toilets are upstairs. Definitely would recommend

We went for food and ordered a small fish & chips, but it was just batter with no fish. When we complained and asked for a replacement the waitress said that is what the small fish is. When we said we wanted to change the order we had to pay the extra and when at the bar to pay they tried to say we had changed our mind and we made the point to say that it was not to a satisfactory standard.

All good, delicious food and good selection. Pub atmosphere, although a bit larger and brighter.

Only there for 40 mins prior to catching our train home to West Mids. Seating areas all under cover of station roof. Very good choice of beers and atmosphere

Large place in an amazing building. Big area separated by a glass partition. The usual feel to a Wetherspoons. Usual tap beers and a few real ales available. Food being served as usual. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Beer was good and cheap. Mixture of wooden and flag stones on the floor. Quite light and airy with the conservatory type roof. Enjoyed my visit.

The app made a mistake and made me order twice. I was charged four times for it. This is such a joke. I asked for a refund but was refused because I used Apple Pay.

Not the nicest of places. Tables left covered in empty plates and glasses. Floor littered with bits of food and paper. 4 staff behind the bar all ignoring customers. Only nice person seemed to be the manager. But I suppose you get what you pay for. Food wasn't bad though

Usual wetherspoons food. We went on bank holiday weekend, busy but we were able to get a seat. Good atmosphere, clean facilities. Quirky environment being in the old part of the train station. Food was nice, my nephew loved the burger! The Korean chicken looked so good! Would recommend!

My husband and son just visited wetherspoon in Aberystwyth with friends they were very disapointed with the breakfast they had , The eggs,mushrooms,beans,were cold and burnt toast will not visit again.

Compared to many other Wetherspoons this one was way below par. Wiltshire ham was like the cheapest possible, only one drinks machine working. But the worst was the toilets. The area we walked through to get there smelled so bad and the flooring was disgusting. Staff were friendly and efficient and portions were ok.

Great location, food portions were tiny compared with other spoons.. Ordered a cheese burger and came as a normal burger, felt the member of staff was very confrontational about us paying an extra 80p.. Either way we'd deffo Ordered a cheese burger. He then checked the receipt and low and behold we had ordered one. It's a 10p piece of cheese. Lol

Alright food, Went here a few times and the steak came back complete raw inside, Waiter returned back a even more raw steak, Other then that its a bloody lovely resteraunt

I had to approach staff twice to ask where my breakfasts were after waiting for 40 minutes. Apparently it was a glitch with the till ( funny that as everyone else got theres) . When it finally arrived the beans and the sausage we barely warm. So we will go to morrisons next time we are in Aberystwyth

Ok, you don’t choose Wetherspoons for the quality of the food or expect a high level of service but waiting 45+ minutes for luke warm food isn’t great.

Great food - pepperoni pizza was good, coffee was good. Service was fast and the food was hot. Coffee was nice.

A great place to arrive at in Aberystwyth, right on the railway station. Obviously very busy on a sunny Saturday but the staff were keeping up well with the pace. Only gripe is the latest update on the online ordering, the internet was a bit glitchy, my breakfast order went adrift but the staff were on the ball sorting it.

Grabbed a table, ordered online and food got delivered to our table, couldn't ask for anything simpler.

The breakfast menu is extensive, from full English breakfast to wraps. Additionally, the coffee and tea has free refills.

Will never visit this place again

A standard Wetherspoons pub, very large toilets upstairs. Our food and drinks were delivered quickly, staff very helpful. Hadn't been in for several years but much improved.

Great spot for a Wethers. Nibbles on 1st visit, cheeky pint on 2nd. Train station and its history 👍👏👌

Had breakfast here, quick service at the till and food arrived quickly as well. Was ok for. Place was cleanish (slightly sticky table) and tidy and not busy for the time I visited 9am on Sunday morning. Updated 29/6/24. Out with a group before moving on elsewhere. Table ordering worked very well and was quick. Good value drinks.

A pleasant and calm place to chill around

Nice place especially with the seating on an old railway platform ,a must for train enthusiasts service was freindly and helpful but when you have a super market on your doorstep why would you run out off tomatoes? And not enough butter on the full breakfast they need to put 2 small packs on for each slice of toast

The food is about average for a spoons the fish and chips are very good the atmosphere is a bit rowdy and gets worse into later into the day theres a lovely seating area on train platform wich still has cover whilst being semi outside

The problem is apathetic staff, the duty manager should fire a rocket up thir behinds

Usual Weatherspoons offer you get what it says on the tin ... liked the environment in part of the train station... Outside area under cover on track side ... toilets upstairs ... personally I don't mind a Weatherspoons you know what your going to get and good value

I would highly recommend the Wetherspoons at Aberystwyth. What makes this place so special is the staff they are so friendly polite helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The staff also went over and above an exceptional customer service by kindly posting the jacket that I’ve left behind. I can’t thank all of the staff enough

Cutlery was dirty. Burger arrived without gherkin and chicken burger was dry. A couple of tables down had a drink thrown over them by member of staff and table next to us had to wait 10 mins for her veg to arrive.

A fine boozer, good selection of IPA and real ales..

The last couple of times we've visited here we've had issues with the food. The last visit I ordered a burger and it was like when you leave your drunk mate in charge of the bbq and everything gets cremated, I snapped the burgers in half, they replaced it without a problem but when you've already waited 20 minutes and you have kids to entertain, it's not ideal. The time previously, my daughter just wanted a cheese wrap, a wrap, sprinkle some grated cheese on, easy, they had wraps on the menu so didn't think it would be a problem, turns out it was, the manager had to get involved, we ended up with a wrap with a couple of processed cheese slices they put on the burgers and was charged over £7 for it (I'm unsure of the price it was last year sometime) it was put through the till as a meal and drink order, but when we went back to the till to ask for the drink the manager had to get involved again and reluctantly poured us a blackcurrant squash we had paid for. All in all, a standard Wetherspoons.

Two freedom breakfasts served stone cold, two toast not toasted. I don't see the point in going to the trouble of cooking food and serving it cold. I would have posted a copy of my receipt had I been given one. I would not recommend.

Fabulous place to eat and drink. Very busy place but service is quick. Being next to the train platform is a perfect place to wait for your train. Highly recommended

Lovely food and unlimited hot chocolate and coffee. What's not to like.

Didn't have any food but had good choice of ales. Some tables were empty and needed cleaning/clearing when we got there. But to be fair to the staff serving and cleaning up they were flat out.

Like all Wetherspoons it was cheap but was small portions and dirty both the tables and the floor it was very busy as is in the train station definitely not the best Wetherspoons I've been too.

This weatherspoons is really lovely. There's a lot of space. We went on a hot morning and there was plenty of people there however also plenty of spaces left over in different areas. The food was lovely and staff always happy to make our awkward orders for our breakfast with loads of food swapped due to preferences

"Spoons" should be made a Great British Institution! Good quality food, good prices, excellent eating areas, quick service. What more can you want? Visited twice and would def call in again when in the area. It was quite busy to very busy during the time I was there, indicating it's popularity, so must be doing things right.

Rude and arrogant waitress told us to drink up And go when we sat outside with little Yorkie we were at fault but to be spoken to too like that disgrace were both pensioners in our 70s very angry by her lack of respect
