Lovely landlord and friendly staff.

A lovely cosy bar. Owner was lovely. We were with our car club and we were looking for cake and coffee/ tea for our drink stop. He provided lovely cakes and drinks as a good package price. So accommodating.

We enjoyed a good few hours in the company of Lee the landlord and Bolton the barman. The Doombar was excellent. It was a quiet night but there was still a good atmosphere.

A lovely pub in the town with a good range of food and drink options available. We came to Lampeter on holiday with friends and found the Nag's Head to be a great spot for some drinks and lunch. The outdoor area and dog friendly nature of the place was particularly appealing to us and much appreciated.

Stopped by this pub after a visit to Calico Kate. Nice pub, decent grub. Very quiet due to Covid restrictions.

Had the pleasure of going here for the weekend couldn't rate this place enough lee and scott where absolute legend wait for it dairy the rooms where absolute out if this world only problem there was no sea view but can't be helped as there's no sea in Lampeter, no worries tho xxx thanks again for the experience luvs

Friendly staff and nice outdoor area

Very clean and service is swift but not friendly.

Lovely clean comfortable rooms with plenty of storage, a nice big TV on the wall out of the way, so as not to lose any space. All the little extra comforts like fluffy towels, bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits, hair dryer etc. Great friendly service and excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was clean and the shower was lovely. Only fault I could find was creaky floorboards, but that cannot really be helped. Thanks for the lovely stay. We will be back again.

Rating of the hotel: unfortunately when booking it is stated that it is possible to get breakfast and reserve a parking space and that the hotel has 4 stars. None of this is true, there is no breakfast, there are only two and a half parking spaces in some side street behind the house that is completely flooded when it rains. And it's a long way from 4 stars. The room wasn't cleaned once and we were there for a week. There is no reception, this is the pub underneath the hotel. This means that if you need something you have to go to the bar at the pub, which is of course only open at certain times. And there's the next problem: the pub is under the hotel, the walls are so thin that you can hear the pub as if it were in your room, and the pub goes on until about 3 a.m. every day. I definitely can't recommend it unless you spend the time in the pub yourself.

Warm and relaxing place to eat and drink

Visited on boxing day for the first time since the refurbishment. Very nicely done, clean and looks very good.

My wife and I both had the fish and chips. The fish was okay. It looked like it came from the frozen section of the grocery store. I give this place a three because the staff was friendly.

Newly refurbed by the look of it, lovely staff, great drink selection. Pizza was yum! quite small inside / not many tables.

Lovely staff/owners but sadly thats as far as it went.The room was never cleaned or replenished i.e. no clean towels or linen, tea and coffee or toilet rolls not replenished. No information given about Wi-Fi or how to check out, poorly stocked bar/restaurant i.e. very low food options available if any, no ice or lime available in the bar on two occasions. The staff were very conficting in what they knew i.e. either didn't know or gave different accounts. As for breakfast we were asked if we wanted it, when we ordered for 2 days we were then informed we had to go to a cafe across the road which was lovely. Room was very basic for a deluxe, no chair, no hair dryer. Does not state that the bar is open until 1am during the week. Could here customers below very clearly with a varied choice of the English language. Do Not know how this property obtained 4 stars. Felt more like a club 18-30 resort. Car park was like a building site with screw and nails on the floor which we removed.

El lugar no vende cerveza de los grifos latas único! Puedo pero estas de la tienda y beber en casa. El lugar apesta a no sé qué. Dios, qué Hell hole. Es oscura y sucia y la distribución es horrible! No hay televisión o deportes o el ambiente. No me empezó a lo que nos vanagloria el gerente. miserable y borrachos. asqueroso!

Nos alojamos en Lampeter por 2 noches, 12 y 13 de agosto, en la primera noche cenamos en el restaurante de nuestro alojamiento y después decidimos caminar por la ciudad para disfrutar de una copa. Decidimos tomar una copa en el Kings Head.

Primero lo primero. El Trip Advisor imagen de los Kings Head no es la Kings Head en Lampeter. me llamó por como me paso y recordaba que realmente buena comida a unos años atrás. no debería haber molestado. El exterior ha sido pintado esta asquerosa color naranja y amarillo, el interior es muy sucias. ni siquiera preguntar si no comida - no me atreví a riesgo. Me instalados en una pinta y fuimos en el jardín. Por desgracia, el jardín estaba lleno de estudiantes destartalados guardas (una chica tenía la más fastidioso voz y reír que he oído) así que dejé bastante rápidamente. No puedo creer que un pub puede ir cuesta abajo tan rápidamente - es muy sombría. le dieras esquinazo.

Avoid at all costs, this is defiantly an establishment where you wipe you feet on the way out! Staff rude and landlord pushes his customers around.

Had a lovely evening meal here with my daughter. Turned up without a booking and were immediately shwon to a table. The food was lovely and we were very pleased with the service.
