The best place to eat for a homey food, please come to this place you wont be disappointed. I came here with my boyfriend yesterday for our first trip to the beach in Prestwick. The lady who handled us with short hair and glasses was so nice, she’s so heartwarming and very welcoming overall. The price is really affordable in my opinion. We had a three courses meal for £11 which includes Starter, Main, and Dessert. The food is really amazing! I came to Scotland last year September and I’d say this is definitely in my top 3 or even the best food I’ve ever had. My favorite one is the Steakpie from the main menu and my bf’s favorite is the soup and mac n cheese. The food is incredible so it’s all worth it. The lady who serve us made our trip memorable. I had a really great time here and I promise the food is really lovely!!!

Two of us are vegan and the selection of vegan offerings was impressive. Cauliflower bhaji pasty, vegan sausage roll and spicy Mexican bean roll were three savoury pastries that we tried and all 3 were outstanding. Really tasty fillings. They even had some vegan sweet treats that like brownies. Their coconut biscuits are also vegan and another favourite. Love this place!

Fabuuulous Deli in Lanark with attentive staff who you can always rely on for great personal service. What better way to start a Saturday morning than with a freshly made fruit scone baked by Stuart (the proprietor) in his own bakery accompanied by a deluxe hot chocolate. Emily & Jack did a sterling job today taking the helm with confidence while Stuart was taking to the high seas. A treasure chest not to be missed!

Great lunch spot, fab team of polite, cheerful and energetic staff - Megan and Annie in particular are superb. Menu seems more limited on some days than other for no apparent reason but everything produced is good quality, tasty and reasonable portion sizes. Always feel it could do with more tables than it has!

A lovely and quirky cafe by day and bistro by night. The food is excellent and a great variety of breakfast and lunch items - more interesting than the usual sandwich lunch. Great in the evening or tapas that is always tasty and well presented

Extremely disappointed with service this evening. I was not treated when I approached the till to be made aware someone would be with me soon .To my great disappointment I was served my sitting in order in a take away cup.Wasn’t asked if sitting in or take away. There were at least 20 used take away cups stacked on the counter, so I’m guessing I was not the only one to be served a take away when sitting in. I could understand if understaffed or extremely busy and they needed to save time on washing up however it was really quiet. The service staff standing around behind the counter chatting and using profanities. I’m not one to be offended by this however I feel that this showed to me that the staff did not care one jot about my customer experience. I don’t come to Starbucks to sit in and drink out a paper cup . Certainly not at that price 😤

Unfortunately my whole visit was not good from the girl that served me - no communication. Looked totally fed up to be there. Got order wrong (obviously as was so disinterested when taking order) Shop not busy but order took a while to come. My french toast was so greasy. Very disappointing On a previous visit I had the same experience with same waitress - almost a bother to take order

Have stopped here for coffee a few times after meetings with a local business. Really friendly service and good coffee.

The restaurant is located in Biggar High Street, where there is parking on-street in the locality for those driving, however we’re fortunate enough to live within reasonable walking distance. It’s closed on Monday & Tuesdays but otherwise open for lunch and dinner. The menu usually has half a dozen starters and desserts with around eight mains courses to choose from and these all feature fairly frequent changes. Currently the cost of a three course meal is £31.95 per head which represents a modest saving on the individual course prices. Supplements apply to some dishes which can increase the cost marginally but on the upside there are also discounted deals, such as “Steak Night” on a Thursday where you can get a starter and a steak for £25. To give some idea of what food is offered, on our last couple of visits we had Thai Fish Cakes with lemon mayo, Warm Bacon, Black Pudding & Potato Salad, Chicken Liver Pate with oatcakes and a Mushroom, Brie & Thyme Tart as starters. For mains we’ve had Haddock wrapped in Parma Ham, Breast of Chicken in Drambuie Sauce, Parsley & Hazelnut Crusted Cod, and Ballotine of Chicken & Haggis with a whisky sauce (as an alternative to peppercorn) all served with a selection of potatoes and vegetables. For desserts we both had the Cherry Bakewell Tart with Amaretto Custard on one occasion, an Apple & Blueberry Crumble Tart with custard and a Baileys & Strawberry Cheesecake with Chantilly Cream and fresh berries on another visit. Generally speaking the food is very good with only an occasional slight disappointment when for example a flavour mentioned on the menu isn‘t particularly noticeable in the dish itself - the Amaretto was subtle to the extent we couldn’t taste it in the custard for instance. Drinks are typically priced for a restaurant - e.g. we had a bottle of wine at £32 on one of the visits, a glass of Sauvignon is £5.25, and a G&T £4.75. Service is friendly, mannerly and efficient in our experience. On the past couple of visits it was busy and there was a good ambiance in the main restaurant with some guests being directed to the upstairs section on one occasion. Our only gripe is that the seats are not all re-upholstered and if you get one which hasn’t been "padded-out" in recent times it can get quite uncomfortable sitting for too long which is not ideal. Toilets are well maintained.
