Great lunch spot, fab team of polite, cheerful and energetic staff - Megan and Annie in particular are superb. Menu seems more limited on some days than other for no apparent reason but everything produced is good quality, tasty and reasonable portion sizes. Always feel it could do with more tables than it has!

We ate here when visiting the museum. The cafe was really nice. I had soup with quiche. Coffee was good too. Kids had either jacket potatoes or toasties. Gluten-free catered for.

Sad to say the quality of the cakes (2 different kinds) were really not at all good. Scones were dry, not light, fluffy or buttery and tasted stale. If they were fresh they didn’t look or taste fresh. A baker who knows their stuff wouldn’t have put these out. Pastry on the lemon meringue had a flavourless, gritty texture; lemon curd was gloopy and meringue over sugared. We actually didn’t eat them. Have been here before and the experience was the exact opposite so we know they can do much better. Location and place is lovely. This might’ve just a bad day. Might also be not enough staff to ensure consistently good food. Either way, sorry to say that on this day the baking and service wasn’t anything like before.

What a lovely place. We came across it whilst cycling, stopped for lunch, mooched around the excellent museum, then had cake and coffee, couldn’t resist the lemon sponge. Friendly staff, very well presented museum and lovely garden.

Met up with family here. What a lovely cafe and what a selection of homemade cakes. We all had the Victoria sandwich, it has to have been the lightest sponge I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere and cheery staff.

We've eaten here a few times on various visits to Arran, the food is toasties / soup / cakes etc and is always fresh and well presented. Worth a visit for lunch, you can eat in or outside as it is connected to the Arran Heritage Museum.

We visited Café Rosaburn and then returned twice more during our week’s stay on Arran. The cafe has such a lovely atmosphere and all of the staff we met (from the lady in museum shop to the café staff) were friendly and welcoming and the location was so quaint and homely. The home baking was “thoroughly delicious” (coffee cake and lemon sponge cake; homemade tablet) and it’s clear significant time, care and effort is put into this delightful café. Great value and not to be missed. Thank you to Judith and staff, will miss visiting until next year. X

We enjoyed a nice lunch here during our long weekend on Arran after a visit to Brodick Castle. The black garlic lamb on pitta and the steak ciabatta were both great and the kids enjoyed their sandwiches. We had a walk around the museum gardens after our lunch to learn more about the local history too. Well worth a visit!

Lovely location, great for coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea. Delicious home bakes and welcoming staff. Eat inside or out in the grounds of the heritage museum. We felt completely safe as the Covid-19 protocol is well thought out. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we visited three times in four days!

The cafe as such has plenty teas coffees and soft drinks on a printed menu. The cake stand and scones catches your eye when ordering, The blackboard has all your mains, baked potatoes, sandwiches on it. Plus home made soup. It’s real traditional farm house fair, staff are really nice and the food is all really good with excellent presentation.

Returned to this great wee cafe after two or three years. We had an excellent lunch. I can recommend the spicy chicken ciabatta. The cakes looked amazing but alas we were full up but will be back. The staff were superb. They were most welcoming, attentive but not intrusive. Definitely worth the visit.

Ate lunch here while visiting the heritage museum (cafe is in one of the buildings). It's very small with six tables squeezed in, but is well worth a visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was great, good portion sizes at reasonable prices. There were a range of standard lunch options and a large array of cake choices. If I had more time in Arran I'd be back.

Popped in when visiting the heritage Museum and were so impressed went back twice in the week. Good food, great value and the two young ladies running the establishment could not have done more to make patrons feel welcome. For an island that depends on tourism many of the other establishments could well do to visist and see what real customer service is.

Popped in here for a cake and a cuppa (Oct 2017) and it was great! Part of the ARRAN Heritage Museum you need to pay 50p per person if accessing the restaurant and/or toilets but it’s for a good cause as the museum is run by volunteers. Tearoom is lovely in an old original part of the museum buildings. Cakes are largely homemade and delicious while the tea/coffee are both good too! According to the menu boards, you can also get “proper “ meals and the choices were varied. Staff were friendly and chatty and the only downside is that the museum and tearoom close for winter from the end of October. Well worth the visit!

On our first, very wet, day on Arran, we wanted a coffee and noticed that the Heritage Museum had a cafe - so in we popped. We weren't expecting much, to be honest, but found a place that served excellent light meals, wonderful baking and a really decent coffee. The main strength of the place, however, was in the unforced enthusiasm and friendliness of the two girls running it. You couldn't meet anybody more pleasant. We ended up going back every day and really missed it when we got home.

Delicious food simply served in clean and comfortable surroundings. The cakes were appearing as I arrived at 10 am so after a scone, I had to come back for lunch, sadly I couldn't manage the carrot cake but I will be back. The coffee was also delicious, a quality not to be overlooked.

We spent a very enjoyable hour or so visiting the Heritage Museum, a must see for all visitors to Arran, and popped into the Cafe for a coffee and as it turned out, some cake. The coffee was freshly made, the cake no doubt baked on the premises, and the service was good. Best of all two coffees and two large slices of cake came to only £7 in total.

This Café is located in the Heritage Museum. The fare is simple but with a fine selection of home made cakes. We had croissants stuffed with garlic mushrooms for our lunch and it was delightful. It would be even better sitting outside if the weather were good but you need to watch out for the ducks.

Hadn’t been for a few years. Really delicious lunch. My friend started with tempura, lovely, had the seafood platter which was beautifully presented and delicious. I had scallops to start and a brunchy sort of smoked haddock dish with a poached egg on top . I would say on our experience the food is better than ever and the place is a must. Both the chef and Tom the owner came and chatted to us. I got scallops in the shop for tonight’s dinner. I’ll go back to Finn’s every month at least, hopefully more often! It’s a treasure. Oh, there’s no table licence but they have a selection of wine in the shop, drop in there first!

We were a bit disappointed with our visit here. Apart from one lovely waitress the staff weren’t very attentive. Two of the younger staff were messing about behind the bar rather than serving customers. The food wasn’t the quality you would expect for the price- We had a small steak and chips with no veg and an open seafood lasagne which was really bitter.
