We dropped in here for coffee when staying locally based mainly on the high quality reviews on TA. Excellent flat whites, plus amazing takeaway food - especially the haggis ‘sausage’ rolls.

Discovered this lovely place when visiting Strathaven Park with our grandson on Thursday. We popped in for a bite of lunch. I couldn’t decide what to have from the deli display so had a bit of everything. Wasn’t disappointed! My husband had soup with some great sourdough bread We had flat white and cappuccino coffees which again were really good Think what made my day even better was the blether I had with Theo about sourdough bread making. We discussed flour etc and Theo actually gave me some of the flour he sells to try at home. Thanks so much again Theo. Bread turned out well btw and we’ll be back for more of your lovely food and great atmosphere!

Always a popular spot. Current restrictions have limited sitting in. The hot deli sandwiches are so tasty and highly recommended. We always opt for a mixed salad box to sample the selection as all the salads are great and full of flavour. The pastries look lovely and golden.Great value for money and definitely fast becoming a regular spot when heading to Strathaven. One thing...A better soft drink selection would be great. We get the whole artisan approach...but tbh the majority are blah or yuk! Can we just have a full fat coke please.... and from the only people really justified to call it that!? I'd rather spend all my money here than buy my lunch and then head to the co-op for a decent drink. Thanks.

Always love Roasted, but first time we have been in since the COVID-19 restrictions were put in place. Felt very safe in the shop. Hand sanitiser at the door, all staff wearing appropriate PPE, social distancing measures made and screens at the till area. We got food to have a picnic for a day out. Had sandwiches and some sweet treats. The vegan sausage roll was also tremendous. Coffee was fab, the drink selection is great and there is also a great varied selection of products and food to choose from.

I tried here again, but alas I was just as demented again with the over loud "yoo-haa's" trying to out do each other in the conversation stakes. Why do they think everyone in the place wants to hear their mundane trivial chit chat? Too much time is spent on silly (sometimes inappropriate) chalk boards outside the door instead of maybe concentrating on what they could no doubt do better. Trying too hard to be part of the new wave, back to basics, organic hype, green crusade going on. It is so ersatz. This can be done without all the pretentiousness.Put the coffee in a cup and the grub on a plate, wash and repeat. I do suppose it fits the bill for some,,, but not me.

I know every member of staff at roasted and all are courteous , humorous and professional. The two chefs are arguably the best in the County as is Angela the pastry chef. Plus she is of Italian origin and scares me. One of the chefs is slightly quieter than the other. The other will do anything to please his customers. The quality of the food is excellent as is the coffee. Discounts are available for school children and the homeless are supported. I agree the music can be off base occasionally however I am too busy eating and drinking to care. Anyone who has major criticism of Roasted should re-programme their sat nav

Seems to be a place where the clientele want to go to hide from their everyday lives. I've been in a few times and had to leave. I have tried the coffee but could not stay, listening to the pretentious, thirty five years behind the times tubes that would walk past it in Glasgow without a glance, probably scared to go in thinking it was full "of glesga types" , but think it is fine here because they have "city wellies" on. Even the poor girls serving struggle to smile because of the fakeness, and I can't blame them. There's only so much pseudo snobbery you can take in a day. Fair play to the owners, making mugs out of mugs,,, "have that with pea milk while we torture you listening to a cackling would be X factor contestant. The nouveaux Strathaven indeed,, sons and daughters of Thatchers children indeed. Do yourself a favour, get a better coffee next door in Greggs, or just get the p@$# taken out you...

Wow, first impressions very good, on my travels all over the UK this was like Strathaven meets Shoreditch and it certainly would not be out of place in upcoming and trendy London. The visual impact struck me and having a little time to kill and being open quite early I thought why not. A delightful coffee and two poached egg and bacon brioche were just what was needed to refuel. Staff very pleasant and the fresh inviting decor smacked of class and quality. I would recommend this cafe/eaterie to any who have thus far not experienced and I will certainly be revisiting. If I could choose one word to describe Roasted it is simply "quality"!

This is my favourite place to come for tasty sandwiches, coffee, and cakes. Really good for vegans too - there's a few delicious sandwiches to choose from, lots of different milks (including pea milk which is so creamy!) and amazing flapjacks and melting moments. Such a lovely atmosphere and nice staff too.

The BEST place i've ever been in Scotland for Breakfast, Brunch, coffee and anything else you can imagine actually. Everything is daily prepared from Greek Chef Theologos and his team. You can literally see the bread and bakeries coming off the oven and straight to your plate. The staff with massive smiles at all times happy to serve you and have a chat with you. A home outside your home. Mt fiancee and i are going every single week when we are off work. ROASTED is a " MUST " place to be. LOVING IT. !!!!!!

Absolutely not your normal café/bistro, Cramped seating, all a bit untidy but serving only home made food, all produced on the premises by the owner chef. Really excellent establishment in Strathaven. Small but trendy décor, amazing coffee and wonderful sandwiches. I had the mature cheese and pickle toasty on sourdough and my partner had the sourdough roast beetroot, avocado , onion and humus sandwich - to be honest when she ordered that I though "yuk" but after having a taste of it I have to say it was amazing so fresh and tasty, next time we are in will be getting that. There aren't a lot of seats and it is very busy so feels crowded but on this visit you can't fault it at all. Well worth a visit even the daft "puns" are ok . Toilets a bit tight to get into.

Absolutely delicious coffee and even non competitive sourdough. This bread is so great that it literally took me back to my childhood when this type of quality was a golden rule of every baker. Unfortunately this quality is extra rare. Thanks to this little place we can show our children what we used to know as the real bread.

I have been a frequent visitor to this establishment since it opened and it has been a brilliant addition to the town. The coffee on offer is of exceptional quality and is up there with some of the best independent coffee shops in Glasgow, and it also helps that all the staff are well informed and well skilled in the art of the Barista.

My daughter had been telling me about Roasted for a while, but I finally got to try it for myself this week - and what a great wee place it is. Five of us popped in at lunchtime - no tables available, so we ordered food to take away. But then a table opened up, and it was no problem at all to switch back to eating in - in fact we were positively encouraged to stay, and made very welcome. Everything we had was delicious - the homemade sausage rolls are a standout; the chicken, mushroom and feta filo pasties were superb too. We also shared three salads - an Asian wild rice salad; barley salad with feta and cucumber; and a German-style potato salad. All were fantastic, and big portions. Almost forgot the soup - sweet potato and coconut, served with home made bread. Chocolate brownie was rich and fudgy, and a pecan pie was beautiful, and not too sweet. All topped off by great coffee. Oh, and we bought a very good sourdough loaf to take home. Big bonus points from me for sourcing as many ingredients as possible locally, and for their commitment to minimising the use of plastic. Bottom line is that Roasted is a great addition to the local eating scene, and I will definitely be back (and recommending it to all my friends).

Was visiting Strathaven on business and decided to pop in with my colleague for a spot of brunch. The food looked appetising and we managed to grab a couple of seats in the very small eating area- I had a Pastrami sandwich and my colleague had a toastie, both with a Cappuccino. Both snacks were pleasant enough and the coffee was lovely but I have to say that the female serving (?early 40's, dark hair) was really miserable and did not crack a smile once. My colleague made a pleasant comment about this new business (we are regular visitors to the town) and the server just glared at her! It is all very well having a new business with tasty food and beverages but some thought also has to go into the "face" of the business- the people serving the public. I also found it to be quite expensive for what it is.
