The West End Restaurant in South Lanarkshire

Food is good, service let's this restaurant down badly, staff really should know what deserts are on ie cheese cake for example without having to run to chef to ask. Time to wait for desert, was way far too long. Will not recommend this restaurant until issues are dealt with.

5/5 A warm and welcoming restaurant with very friendly staff. The facilities were pristine and the food was absolutely superb and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere had a homely feel with the wood burning fire which was very relaxing. Gutted that I live four hours away so can’t visit often. Thank you for looking after us!

Partner and I were there a week last Saturday. First visit. Enjoyed it. Staff are friendly and approachable. Starters - I had the pakora and my partner had the mozzarella fingers. Both fine, no complaints. Plastic tub for the pakora sauce could’ve been presented better in something else. Mains - I had the west end burger without cheese. Really nice except it was absolutely ginormous. A little dry though - needed a nice relish or sauce. Didn’t finish it so took the rest home in a box. Partner had the Shanghai Chicken. She really enjoyed it. All in all we enjoyed it but a bit expensive - 4 courses, 1 alcoholic drink and a soft drink for £50. In my opinion that’s dear. Will maybe visit another time.

Just had a fabulous meal here, great food, good portion sizes and lovely staff. Will definitely be coming back!

I visited as part of a group of six, and enjoyed an enormous multi-layered burger, combining beef and chicken. I ordered out of curiosity and would recommend. My fellow diners also enjoyed their selections. Worth a visit for good wholesome food at reasonable prices. One tip, the portions are large, so skip a starter unless you have a big appetite.

Our first visit to the restaurant today with our friends and all of us agreed that the food and the service were excellent! Great sitting in the end with the log fire. The waitress made sure the fire did not cool down. I am sure that now we’ve been and discovered how good the food and service is we’ll definitely be back.

The waiting staff were wonderful and the food we ordered arrived pretty quickly and was delicious! Good value too with a good menu to browse (limited vegetarian / vegan options) and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

First time here and the meal was excellent, very reasonable prices from food, wine and spirits. Staff very pleasant would definitely recommend this place and we will be back 😊

My husband and I have recently moved to the area and so delighted to find out dogs are allowed in the bar area. We came for dinner on Saturday 29th Feb and the girls serving were so pleasant and welcoming to both us and Costa the pug. Food was great it was all round a perfect evening. We visited the West End Restaurant with friends for lunch. This was our first visit and i can safely say it won’t be our last! The food was excellent and our waitress was first class.

My husband and I eat out here often. Sometimes just the 2 of us, other times with family. We have never had a bad meal, nor bad service here. The food & all staff are amazing & so good with children. Excellent food, good portions & prices and fabulous staff keep us returning. Wise to book before you go, as it's often busy, but this does not affect the excellent service.

We go there regularly as it is close to our home. Food always excellent, my favourite is the prawn salad, just thinking about it makes my mouth water! They do a good deal for steaks too and the wine is well priced too. I would highly recommend it!

This is a pub restaurant which has recently been renovated and revamped. It’s in an area where there are limited options for restaurants and we would often travel to other towns to find somewhere to eat out. Not anymore as The Westend is a real gem. We visited for lunch and were extremely impressed in every respect. Wholesome food, great varied menu and a lunch option at a very affordable price. The traditional home cooked Scottish Steak pie was delicious. Service was very efficient and friendly. Staff could not have done more to ensure we enjoyed our lunch. Good drinks choice and wine is very reasonably priced. They cater for gluten free and vegetarian diets. The deserts were not to be missed especially the waffles and the tablet ice cream was amazing. Highly recommended! We will certainly be back.
