Absolutely outstanding tasting ciabatta lunches (the king oyster mushroom, the teriyaki seitan and the marinated tempeh, lettuce and tomato). I know I’ll be thinking about my lunch until I get to eat here again. Really good oat milk coffee and super freshly baked cakes - the fruit loaf, fruity bun and peanuty-iced muffin. So much love, skill and care goes into the food and welcoming atmosphere here that it’s just a wonderful place to eat and relax. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for such lovely food and Sunday afternoon chat.

We visited this lovely little coffee shop on New Years Day. We received a warm welcome from both the staff and the environment. It's a cosy little shop with a decent amount of comfy seating which ranges from tables and chairs to a big squishy sofa. The menu consists mainly of (for example) bacon rolls, sandwiches and toasties all served with good quality crisps and coleslaw. Both of our meals were well presented, arrived really quickly and were delicious; perfect lunch on a snowy day. There's a good range of teas, coffees and soft drinks available. The toilets are to the side of the building and are immaculate with lots of "extras" like nice toiletries and obviously regularly checked and maintained. As it was New Years Day we were offered commentary prosecco/nosecco; which we didn't have but felt it was a really thoughtful touch. It'd be a great place to take the grandchildren and we noticed that dogs were also welcomed! We live fairly locally but had never visited before and will definitely be back.

I arrived on my own with my dog. You have to order inside but dogs aren’t allowed inside. It was quite busy but the waiting staff asked if I was alone and said they’d be happy to come and take my order at the table. They came quickly, took my order and brought it out really promptly. The crab sandwich was lush. I had a choice of white wine, and the Sauvignon Blanc was delicious. They were so chatty and lovely. They were happy for me to pay when I left and I’ll definitely be returning.

Absolutely lovely time, and a big thanks to Karen @ the complex, a lovely lunch, with lots of TLC, and made the birthday lunch special. Followed by great kid’s entertainment with the animals & science show! Brilliant team, brilliant show, we will be back!! Thank you for going out your way to make us relaxed and happy!

We stayed for one night for our anniversary and had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and clean and had a great view south over fields and the bed was comfy and the shower was great. We had a drink before dinner with canapés which was nice and a lovely meal served by friendly staff. We had no complaints about anything at all, but we spoke to a member of staff to enquire about the situation with dogs in the hotel. We had been thinking of staying a few months previously and as it advertised as being dog friendly it fitted the bill, but we chose somewhere closer to where we were going, which turned out to have been a good decision. She said that dogs were not allowed in any of the public areas only in the bedroom and when you are eating the dog must be left in the car or the bedroom in the cage provided by the hotel. This would not have suited us, but it may suit other people, but anyone booking should be aware of this before they arrive. I would describe it more as dog tolerated than dog friendly and I understand the reasons for it, but it should be made clear by a description on the website.

Great little cafe. Excellent bacon, sausage, and egg role for the price. Coffee was ok. Opens early.

Lovely looking, traditional pub with plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Could have done with some quiet background music for a bit more atmosphere as very quiet at times. Open fire was lovely and warm. I am a vegan and sadly I was told there was no way they could guarantee that something coming out of thr kitchen was 100% vegan. I went with the soup and some veg which was OK.
