What a fabulous meal we all had, great food, attentive service, watched the sunset over the sea… we will definitely be back. We were a family of 6 of all ages and every one of us enjoyed our 2 courses… desserts looked amazing we just didn’t have room as the portions are so generous! Would highly recommend the scallops and black pudding and the scampi.

Brilliant food, huge portions, a very wide menu. George on-duty up front was most welcoming and helpful, very efficient and organised, and the kitchen was just superb. Not the cheapest, but the quality (especially of the seafood itself) was absolutely firstclass.

Great hospitality and good seafood. Try the scampi or the lemon sole, that less than 24 hours ago was swimming in the ocean. 😁 Tremendous views over the landscape.

Stopped in for some lunch today. Friendly service with a good and varied choice of menu. Offers half portions of meals if more suitable. Brilliant value. Hot and cold options available. Felt like the teapot was bottomless, think it was 3 cupfuls in total!

I travel this way, A68, between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Always stop in here, clean and warm. Nice menu, well made. Lots of parking

A weekend away in the Scottish Borders led to us unexpectedly finding this wonderful restaurant in the Yarrow Valley today. It was one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve had in years (delicious local beef and pork) and a seriously tempting menu focussed around local ingredients by Bryn Jones. The honey cake for dessert by @she.likesbaking was also incredible and I’ve only just realised that Oxana Jones is not only a wonderful front-of-house host, but also an extremely talented baker. Thank you to your team, it was a memorable lunch and we’ll definitely be back for one of your tasting menus and an overnight stay.

Great little cafe. Excellent bacon, sausage, and egg role for the price. Coffee was ok. Opens early.
