We recently visited this restaurant for a family meal, the food was really good and the atmosphere was good. The staff were attentive to our needs.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Heathers Seafood Restaurant on our first night exploring the Eyemouth area. The extensive fish menu is a true delight, offering something for every seafood lover. I chose the king prawn salad, and my husband had the breaded plaice—both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The freshness of the seafood was unmistakable, and every bite was a treat. A special mention goes to Nicola, who provided amazing service, making us feel so welcome. We also stayed in our campervan in their parking area, which offers electric hook-ups and breathtaking sea views—a wonderful bonus for travelers like us. If you’re in Eyemouth, Heathers is a must-visit. You won’t regret it

What a fabulous meal we all had, great food, attentive service, watched the sunset over the sea… we will definitely be back. We were a family of 6 of all ages and every one of us enjoyed our 2 courses… desserts looked amazing we just didn’t have room as the portions are so generous! Would highly recommend the scallops and black pudding and the scampi.

Brilliant food, huge portions, a very wide menu. George on-duty up front was most welcoming and helpful, very efficient and organised, and the kitchen was just superb. Not the cheapest, but the quality (especially of the seafood itself) was absolutely firstclass.

Great hospitality and good seafood. Try the scampi or the lemon sole, that less than 24 hours ago was swimming in the ocean. 😁 Tremendous views over the landscape.

Great little cafe. Excellent bacon, sausage, and egg role for the price. Coffee was ok. Opens early.

Perfect in every way! Delicious food, gorgeous staff and a cosy stove to relax beside. We've been coming to this beautiful hotel for years and it will always be number one in quality and service.

There's something special about this place -- we entered with no idea - just wanted a coffee after driving from Edinburgh and looking at the abbey - then we were taken in by the menu and the homemade bread. - vegetarian and vegan options. Amazing coffee and home-cooked food and fresh sourdough, this place feels the love and care for its patrons. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for some lunch today. Friendly service with a good and varied choice of menu. Offers half portions of meals if more suitable. Brilliant value. Hot and cold options available. Felt like the teapot was bottomless, think it was 3 cupfuls in total!

This cafe is now under new ownership and is called THE KNOWES. It is open from 9:30 until 4 (3 on a Sunday). It has been under new ownership since February this year and has had a lick of paint and a fresh menu - albeit broadly similar to the old one. Having visited the cafe several times on visits to Kelso over the last few years, it remains my favourite venue to get a hot drink and a simple meal. The premises are kept very clean and presentable.
