We stayed overnight beginning of August on a very busy Saturday night. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming - from stepping through the door, bar staff, service at dinner, and breakfast. The food was very nice, breakfast in particular. Our bedroom had a separate toilet, and bath/shower/sink just over the hall from the room. This may not suit everyone but we were quite happy and didn’t cause any problem. The hotel has a very homely feel about it and most importantly - it is very dog friendly, and our year old cocker spaniel was spoken to by all staff. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We were in this part of Scotland to see friends who live locally and decided to stay here, close by. The pub is a very warm and friendly place, with charming proprietors and locals who welcomed us. The room was extremely comfortable, the substantial breakfast very enjoyable and we had an excellent stay. If you are looking for pristine decoration and furnishings, you may be disappointed as the place is slightly "tired" in places but it was clean, warm and the homely atmosphere more than compensated. As for value for money, The Craw Inn cannot surely be beaten. It was sad that our other commitments meant we could not eat here but as and when we return, as we may very well do, we shall give the restaurant a try for dinner.

Came here on holiday a couple of years' ago and were eager to return. It's a cosy pub with welcoming staff and very friendly locals. The food is well cooked, delicious and well presented. I really enjoyed the haggis starter and local fish. My wife loved the vegetarian option she chose. There's a good range of well-kept ales too. We were glad to be back and enjoyed a very good evening indeed.

We went last weekend for a family meal & thoroughly enjoyed it. We got a very warm welcome and it had a nice friendly atmosphere. The service was very good & even though the grandchildren were a bit excitable at times the waitress got all orders right. Most ordered the roast beef & although it could have done with a little longer cooking it was very tasty. The fish & chips were excellent with a huge fish covering most of the plate. The desserts were large & delicious. All in all a good experience so we will definitely be visiting again.

Went for Sunday lunch at the Craw last Sunday as we were recommended to go. Must say we were really disappointed. We both ordered the roast beef Sunday lunch. It came eventually 40 minutes later. The meat was tough, (left most of it) the portions were below average, there was no mash and NO yorkshire pudding. When the waiter asked us about our meal I said politely that the meat was tough and there was no Yorkshire pudding. His reply was I will let the kitchen know as for the yorkshire puddings he told us they had a big party in last night and didnt hav time to make them!!!!!!! This was at 2.30 in the afternoon. Didnt even offer us a discount for that!!!!!! Wont be back unfortunately.

Stayed two nights and had the side apartment. Two double rooms and a shared bathroom. Its comfortable and better than basic but little things like new doors that don't shut grate a little. The pub is used by the local people and they are very friendly. Theres a large selection of beers from the pump, but these tend to be the more modern pale/amber ales rather than traditional bitters. Really wanted to like the Craw as it is one of the closest inns to home. We walked in 5 mins before our allotted booking to not a very warm welcome at all, no cheery hello, no smile, nothing! After getting drinks we were shown to a table in the restaurant, which on a Summer day I’m sure is lovely, but on a miserable March evening it was cold and soulless, very glad we all had jumpers on. We were left some menus to look at, I asked the waitress what the soup was and she didn’t know, half way through evening service how can that be possible. We then waited ages for someone to take our order, eventually the same waitress came past, we enquired and she said she hadn’t been to take our order because she thought we were waiting for someone to join us! Fair enough we were a party of 3 sat at a table set for 4, but I had made the booking for 3 ages ago so why she would think that is beyond me. When the food came it was quite good although the steak pie was somewhat salty. Total bill for 3 was £100, we left feeling let down, what a shame! With some better training and maybe some heating it would be better.

Lovely village pub, great atmosphere, huge plates of food, friendly staff and great to have a friendly chat. Have plenty of events to enjoy, it's the hub of the village.

Sadly now seem to be closed. Unfortunately the Main Street of Jedburgh offers nothing in the way of dog friendly cafes... the only town in our trip across central Scotland to have that issue.

We stayed one night to attend an event being held in the hotel. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed - the bathroom is very dated and in need of a refurb- however at £95 for bed and a very good breakfast what’s not to like The staff are lovely- just wish dogs weren’t allowed in the restaurant there’s no need - can’t people leave their dogs alone for an hour
