The best restaurants serving British food in Highlands and Islands

Solicitamos una cuna de viaje para mi hijo de 5 meses unos días antes de la llegada. Cuando llegamos, nos dijeron que no tenían uno, pero solicitaron uno de un hotel asociado (nos llevaría unas horas) 2 días más tarde y a las 8 de la noche conseguimos una cuna de viaje para nuestro pequeñito. ¡Solo para más tarde saber que estuvieron almacenados todo el tiempo! No es que hiciera la diferencia, ¡porque una reserva para la fiesta en la calle 21 estaba directamente debajo de nuestra habitación hasta la 1 am! Muchos de los otros huéspedes con los que hablamos a la mañana siguiente tampoco dormían, ya que era ridículamente ruidoso hasta altas horas de la madrugada. Lo único positivo que puedo decir sobre el lugar es la comida es excelente. Así que coma aquí, pero NO se quede aquí, especialmente si es una familia joven y le gustaría dormir un poco. No hay gerentes para quejarse, solo vienen de noche aparentemente. La reserva no es reembolsable. Adjunto una foto de la vista.

Enjoyed the food and the experience was well worth the effort to pop in here ! 1st time in here and was pleasant enough !

It's excellent to have food and hot drinks available before the ferry departs for Harris. The kiosk is open depending on ferry times - and that depends on Calmac's tidal timetable. Excellent bacon roll with a substantial filling.

A good cup of coffee in an eclectic former church turned climbing centre! Service was friendly. Would return if in the area.

This cafe within the same building as the heritage centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through the summer season and staffed by volenteers who prepare all the food, soup cakes etc themselves. This is good homely food. I was informed that on the days the cafe is not open there is a mobile van serving pizzas and crepes parked in the car park. There are also toilets at the centre which is a bonus.

My mother who was in a wheelchair visited this place with her partner to get a meal and drink and were seated at a table, they were told someone would come over to take an order they waited and someone came over and said they would be back but never came back eventually after 40mins they left as you can imagine not writing a good review .

Very fast and good service, there is a large selection of vegan dishes (all labeled) and the food arrived quite promptly and was very tasty.

Stayed in a cabin. Cosy warm and great for one night. Another cabin was the shower and toilet. The evening meal and the included breakfast were brilliant. Lovely helpful staff

The local golf course where my mum lives. A nice little 9 hole course and a digital driving range, where the balls are a bit expensive, but the computer options make for a lot of fun & also good practice information too. Bar seems a little expensive too, but friendly, pleasant staff & good food though. Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant is outstanding. Food quality and service were very good with fresh produce being grown in the grounds. We ate here twice during our weeek stay in the area. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, even better beer. Young people serving with their usual verve and enthusiasm. A nice time.

Was staying in the area and was told of marvellous pub to try. The Lochy had a good choice of food and was very delicious. It was always busy so best to book.

We absolutely loved the Cairngorm Hotel! We chose to stay here on our first night in the Highlands for our honeymoon and so glad we did. It's incredibly close to the train station and local shops, but felt very quiet and peaceful in the room, with beautiful views of the mountains too. We loved the interiors, with a real classic, cosy feel and the room felt incredibly spacious. We had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the Scottish selection of breakfast foods. The restaurant was full when we went down for dinner, but we got given a buzzer and waited in the bar, with a great pint of local beer. Then we were seated in no time! Well worth the wait

This restaurant is the best around , staff are super and extremely helpful , special mention to john and kayleigh for there attention and personal touch . Food was tremendous and would highly recommend , thanks guys

A great spot, nice bar area with friendly barman/owner. Food good and hearty. Rooms very good size and newly modernised. A great find
