Bobs curry and the tempura mushrooms were great, burger was very dry and more smash burger than burger. 1 of the Waitresses doesn't listen to the full information when ordering for burger to be made plain but witg bbq sauce on it - comes out and asks again what we ment by plain then brings burger dry no sauce, and talks about other customers whilst we're sitting in ear shot. We had planned on having desert but due to lack of correct info and the way the 1 Waitresses was acting we decided to cut it short and leave.

What a fantastic little cafe. Friendly and welcoming and great food. Staff were always polite even though they were super busy. We went 5 or 6 times over the 4 days we were here. Perfect stop in between walks around the Lochs etc. definitely need to go there if you’re visiting the village.

Hotel agradable, tradicional, de calidad en el borde de la ciudad en una ubicación tranquila. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra estancia y lo recomendaría. Personal agradable, habitaciones cómodas y áreas públicas con un montón de pedazos locales

Don't let the outside put you off, this is a lovely wee cafe, theres only a couple of small tables inside but sitting out side looking across the loch to the mountains is the way to go. We had tea and coffee and the carrot cake. Now I know we're not the first to comment on the carrot cake but honestly, it was among the best we've ever had. The cafe also have a good selection of gifts, my partner got two necklaces so it must be good😂. The 2 ladies serving were very friendly and cheerfull so yes we would recomend it.

We went to the Quaich cafe on Saturday 4th January 2025 as a family of 6 adults and 4 children. They were able to accommodate us at short notice having only booked that morning. I was seriously impressed not only by the excellent food and the variety available, the overall experience was excellent. From the ambiance, to the friendly staff, to the speed of service and the variety of menu items available. The meal we had was excellent. Two of us had the Highland cheeseburger with the addition of haggis. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. Some of the children had Mac n Cheese which was delicious. Without exception our entire party thought the meal was really good. The quality of the ingredients was excellent. The prices were reasonable and fair. The staff were friendly, efficient and very accommodating. Not much more I can say really except we will be back at the Quaich cafe with the family again in the near future. Keep up the good work. A great place to eat in Fochabers Now my go to place.

Fantastic evening in Charlie's Bistro on a cold Monday evening. The food was plentiful and tasty outdone only by the exceptional service! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who really looked after us! The delicious house whisky was a surprising treat given the quality of most 'house' drinks. If you are ever in the area then a visit to Charlie's is a must!

Great deli near the centre of Ullapool. We popped in for coffee and take away sandwiches - fantastic food, good ingredients and freshly made sandwiches to order. There is no eat-in option, but there is a good range of quality foodstuffs available to buy. Really friendly staff too.

Old Pines, Spean Bridge was a charming, quiet retreat. On arrival, a pygmy goat basked in the sun on top of a picnic table, outside of the dining room. Wandering goats and geese provided comic elements. A spectacular view of Ben Nivis and the surrounding moors filled the floor to ceiling dining windows. 5 course dinners, generous Scottish breakfasts and comfy beds provided the perfect decompression from a hectic schedule. Across the lane and over the style, a walk through the moors offered surprises with wandering sheep, lively river waters and an unexpected view of an old stone viaduct destroyed in the clearance disputes. Emerging near Spean Bridge village we walked to the Commando Memorial and looped back on the moor trail to the Old Pines. A lovely, slow paced retreat.
