Very disappointed!!!! Staff were rude and dismissive, we were asked if we had booked and says no, we were handed menus and then ignored for at least 15-20 mins, while people came in and were being served because they booked. There is NO poster up to say you have to book on a Sunday! Very poor service, we have been going there for years and will NOT be back! Very disappointed. If I could rate ‘0’ I would as it was not worth one star!

Popped in for lunch after leaving the Walled Garden cafe after no one bothered to take our order. Staff here were lovely and it is dog-friendly in the first part of the cafe. We had toasties and my eldest had a massive burger which he enjoyed greatly! Food is standard cafe stuff and well cooked and excellent value - £32 for lunch for 4!

Very accommodating for those with food intolerances. Staff understand the difference between food allergies v food intolerances which can sometimes be a challenge. Nice food & good service. Decor is a little strange!!

Good menu, very friendly and attentive staff. The Fish and chips were delicious with the fish being fresh. Prices are fair for the quality of food. Will definitely be back.

I frequent the Quaich Cafe mostly every week and have been for many years. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection every time. The staff and service are brilliant. Throughly recommend.

Another visit to this excellent cafe, what's not to like .. good food, decent prices , good service .. its a winner all the way, their secret I think is they keep it simple , basically that's all you need for a cafe.

My wife and I ate here this morning. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to “pick and choose” from the various breakfast menus, which was essential due to our dietary requirements. The food was absolutely lovely, cooked to perfection. A free coffee top up was offered and happily accepted and the bill was extremely reasonable. This was a lovely experience from start to finish. We will be back! Well done The Quaich

Husband and I had the full breakfast, must say it was very good and plenty of it. Lovely surroundings and the 2 young girls that served us were very polite and professional. Lunch specials board looked very good so will return to try a tasty...

The biggest problem with this wonderful cafe is all the food is so good it's hard to chose. Good food lovely surroundings helpful staff and a decent price. If you're going to eat in Fochabers this is the place to visit.

Stopped here unexpectedly on way home. Really nice late lunch. I had the special which was goat's cheese and walnut salad. Excellent. My companion had all day Scottish breakfast and particularly liked the black pudding. Service very friendly and efficient.

Stopped here on way back from trip to Inverness. Very clean. Got seated straight away, very nice host (didn't get her name unfortunately). All day breakfast had by both of us, really tasty and plenty of food. Nice little cafe and would defo recommend.

Took my mum here yesterday for a Mother’s Day lunch. This place is amazing. Very friendly staff and excellent service. I had the BBQ Chicken Panini which was delicious and the Caramel Latte which was the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely be back.

This was a random visit after a 10 hour drive, we arrived literally 30 minutes before closing, asked if they would still serve us meals (we already tried another cafe who would only do cakes and drinks), they were happy to serve us, the food was lovely and well presented, service was excellent and despite being the last people in there we weren’t rushed. Excellent service at a good price and the place was clean and well presented including the toilets and kitchen.

First visit had a full breakfast which was hot, great value, and delicious. Second time was for lunch and had a onion and black pudding bapinni, again was hot and absolutely scrumptious. Staff were very pleasant, cafe was very busy but our waitress apologised for the wait for our food and put a helping of popcorn on our table till our food arrived. Would definitely visit again and soon.

Came here with my boyfriend after a competition and had the most amazing meal. Ordered the macaroni with bacon and chicken which was the best I’ve ever tasted and also came with a generous helping of chips. Offered popcorn while we waited which is a lovely thing for customers. The waitresses were lovely and helpful and cafe had a warm and friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back again

We often stop here on our way to/back from up North and have always received a warm welcome.

Just had the loveliest lunch there with our two very needy dachshunds and the lady in charge could not have been kinder. There is the most wonderful log burner at entrance creating an instant cozy welcome. Our dogs were treated to a cool bowl of water and special treats. We also had delicious soup and sandwiches. If ever visiting Crieff again in the future we would definitely go back.

Huge serving of food and the service here was excellent. Had burger and chips washed down with some coffee. The cafe was very busy and you could see why as prices were very reasonable.

Visited for lunch, arrived around 12.30 and they were fairly busy. We both had something off the all day breakfast menu. The food arrived promptly it was freshly cooked and hot. Service was excellent. All in all excellent value for money. Well worth a visit if you are in the Fochabers area.

We visited here mid afternoon on Saturday and although the place was very busy, we managed to get a table. Good home made food, well worth the wait for, and we were given a dish of popcorn whilst waiting for our meal.

Fabulous homemade cheese burger. Absolutely huge with chips and bbq sauce on the side. The decor in the cafe was great and the service was friendly and excellent. Highly recommend especially if you are hungry.

Today I decided to go for one of the specials instead of the vegetarian breakfast. I had grilled goats cheese en crouton with walnut salad and red onion marmalade. It was beautifully presented and delicious with the perfect portion size to offer good value. Boyfriend had veggie breakfast and it was excellent as always - the only grump is beans in a ramekin which is a personal bugbear but we forgive them because the food and service is so good.

Popped in to the Quaich with friends for a coffee and fresh scone - as ever, coffee and hot and scone was fresh and not long out of the oven. Staff friendly anf helpful. Good coffee stop here

Decided to drive the few miles to Fochabers and visit the Quaich rather than any restaurant in Elgin where we had been visiting. I had the special, goats cheese with croutons and hwalnut salad which was absolutely lovely! Hubby had an omelette which he said was one of the beautiful st he'd ever eaten. Very good friendly service, excellent food. It was a year since we had last visited but it is still one of the best small cafe/restaurants in the area.

Have often stopped of at this little cafe in my break time. I have had a few lovely meals. But on this occasion I ordered a takeaway. Standing at the counter ordering my food I couldn't help but notice the untidiness of the kitchen with used teatowels hanging everywhere. Tried to ignore this and waited patiently for my orderv when one of the waitresses behind the counter was giving her nose a good blow in full view of myself and I waited to see if she was going to wash her hands and didn't just continued to make coffees and give her friend a fellow waitress a hug. To top it all my takeaway was not good swimming in butter. Couldn't waste my precious breaktime to go back and complain so in the bin it went. A shame won't be back and will pass messsage on

I was there for lunch and had a baked goats cheese dish with walnut salad and red onion chutney. My friend had an excellent cheese omelette with salad. There was plenty of choice on the menu and it was served in good time.

After a very challenging morning it was great to relax at The Quaich Cafe. Even though it was busy the service was friendly and pleasant, the food was very good and reasonably priced and the cafe immaculately clean. It is a shame that not all catering establishments have the same standards of customer care, quality of food and cleanliness. Thank you to everyone at The Quaich! :)

Lovely cafe with friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure a top quality experience. Our breakfast was delicious. I really enjoyed my breakfast pancake as a wee change from my usual breakfast choice. My husband stuck to the tradition and said his full breakfast was top notch.

This is in my local homsetown. Before the new owners took over, it was amazing! However, although still great food, I just can't give it the same rating. The staff here are absolutely amazing and polite! The food is good too, just not the same portions as before.

We were pleased to be able to enjoy a very late brunch (1pm), since The Quaich serves breakfast all day. The food was good, the prices very reasonable, and the service friendly. We were even treated to cinnamon popcorn while we waited the brief time for our meal. Very nice little cafe!

It was very busy when we arrived and we had to wait for a table, however they managed this promptly and we were seated in a beautiful cafe with rustic items all over the walls. The best toastie I'd had in a long time! Their prices are very reasonable too! Two members of staff came over to check if everything was okay. I wish I had known about this wee gem sooner! The amount of times I've driven past & not known about it.Very friendly, quick service. Very clean and very quirky:)Greeted with yummy cinnamon popcorn while we waited only 10 minutes.The menu is amazing- couldn't choose with the amazing variety. I had the salmon omelette and it was fab!will be back again soon!!

Lovely wee cafe with seating through the back as well as at the front entrance. Good paninis and chips and lots of selection on menu. Probably a perfect stop for families too.

Went here to warm up after being out in freezing cold day....porridge is to die for, and my husband had one of the best full breakfasts he's ever had, and he's a breakfast expert! Lovely friendly staff and nothing is too much bother. Very good value for money...will defiantly go back here!

We've been many times in the past, and have always experienced superb service and food, however.... we went in for a Sunday breakfast and ordered a tea and coffee and a full Scottish breakfast and Pancakes with bacon and egg. The drinks arrived promptly and were both super, the food arrived quickly after - the breakfast was super, everything was perfect, the pancakes were fantastic - easily the best pancakes I've ever had (and that's a whole lot of pancakey-goodness), certainly the best ones in Moray! As ever, superb service and excellent value - we'll be back again, and again!

Been meaning to try this place for a while, finally tried it and wasn't disappointed. Cullen Skink, battered fish, Mac cheese with bacon and chicken, burger with cheese and bacon, all fantastic.

We've eaten here on several occasions. The food is always great. Previously I've always gone for the soup and sandwich option but on my last visit I went for the homemade burger. I have to say it's one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. The service is excellent, on a par with the food. The staff are friendly, courteous and smile giving the impression that they enjoy their work. Our food was served within 15 minutes of ordering. Prices are very reasonable for the standard of food on offer. I cannot recommend The Quaich highly enough.

Visited yesterday, after hearing good reports only to be disappointed having ordered a prawn salad, the prawns came with the sauce mixed thou them I didn't like the sauce therefore couldn't eat the prawns the salad itself consisted of far to many pickled items won't be going back.

Came here on a Saturday and we both had the all day breakfast. Was very good for the price and service was efficient.

Wow. 3 adults and 2 9yr olds attended a fantastic sat eve on 29th April. We had an amazing 3 course dinner followed by a fantastic magic show. The whole evening was faultless. Def worth a visit.

Visited today and was quite disappointed with my lunch and also the cost of this. I had ordered a panini and also a baked potato. The panini was quite hard round the edges and the potato was obviously done in the microwave. The salad was very standard salad that i could have done myself.I was shocked when the bill was just over £17. For a panini and chips and a baked potato with cheese. We also had milkshakes and when checking the receipt these were £2.95 each. Very over priced for what you get !!

I took my parents out for a lunch and ended up in the Quaich. It might not have been my first choice but I'm really glad we chose it. We ordered two salads which were very well presented and far more than just salads with quite a variety of different ingredients that made for a real treat. I ordered the fish and chips and as it's my favourite when eating out I've lots of experience to compare with and it really was first class.It has real local, traditional feel, in no way pretentious, just homely, with great food and the price makes it definately excellent value.The service was warm friendly and local.I will certainly be going back and could thoroughly recommend it.

the wife & i popped in on a saturday dinner time for a wee snack....ONLY 3 tables in a smallish room but lucky enough to get the last table.....BUT a minute later other customers came in to dine & shown through a doorway.....leading to bright & roomy dining area !Just ordered a panini & chips , sandwich & salad , tin of juice & pot of tea....for about £16.....good value i thought for really GOOD quality food.BUSY wee place by the time we left !Would return !!

Lovely food and great service. The Scottish breakfast is fantastic along with the soups the baked potatoes etc etc I could go on. The burgers are not so good and I've had a few bad ones, I'd suggest changing your supplier or trying a different range? Very bitty with hard bits and just not that good. I've stopped having them and have no complaints about the rest of the food. Always clean and well presented! Well worth a stop for a bite to eat.

We had a small private function here and the service and help we got was exceptional. Pamela and Martin went out of their way to make it a special evening and Megan was an excellent waitress. The food was delicious and efficiently served and the magic show put on specially for us was just that-MAGIC.

Visited this cafe today. Very nice welcome from waitress. We had a lovely breakfast. Poached eggs cooked perfectly and the nicest smoked bacon I have tasted in some time. Omelette too was nicely cooked and filling lovely. Definitely worth getting off the main road and enjoy some good food in Fochabers.

Went on Tuesday lunchtime, my mother in law is gluten free and often finding anywhere that offers more than one GF option is a challenge, The Quaich had a whole double sided menu for her to choose from. I had the soup and a sandwich deal £5.50- really good sized portion, the roasted pepper and tomato soup was delicious as was the coronation chicken sandwich. The staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Excellent meal and venue for a private function for a 60th birthday. Food options and service were great. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend using the venue for this type of function.

Service was second to none. Food was delicious, especially the macaroni cheese which we all ate. We were able to enjoy our lunch and chatter without being rushed, whilst being provided with super food, friendly atmosphere and excellent service. We will be back here without doubt.

I had lunch recently consisting .of sweet potato and coconut soup with home made bread roll.Enjoyed it very much, looking forward to trying another new soup.Service was very good and waitresses were very pleasant, helpfull and cheery.This is not the first time i have had a meal at The Quaich.I always had good service and excellent meals.

I like trying out new places and I went there with a friend of mine for an informal meeting. Neither of us was impressed. Freshly made shortbread was OK, but coffee was far too much watered down. When I asked for receipt I was handed a printout from that only contained numbers and digits - useless for business purposes.
