The best restaurants serving British food in Highlands and Islands

myeslf and a friend just turned up,the welcome we got was briliant. the buitiful Jessie served us and made me and my freinds day. we chatted and jessie said there was a calie on soon.I said i would love to go, but unfortunate we had to go back home to Glasgow. that was june 2019. Have to go back, love to see Jessie again.

We went over on a Sunday ferry, a glorious sunny day. Had a wander around and then went to the pub. Great beer from the local brewery, friendly staff, lovely attractive interior. Didn't eat but the menu looked interesting.

Great views over the area, only missed 5 stars as the long trail up the west side is cut off by several deer fences that are not shown on the map and require a cross country detour

The first service person seemed annoyed at something and it certainly came across in our interaction which was a bad start but the second server had a much better temperament and made us feel more welcomed than our initial experience. The shop has lots of interesting foods to buy on the shelves as well as the food from the deli.

It was just too busy to get in the front door, and find a table. I should have booked a table in advance, as the food all looked delicious. We just went elsewhere , under the bridge, and its food was just yummy too.We then went back to near the Rockpool cafe, and had an ice-cream.

Great food at great prices....yum!

Lovely bustling cafe by the harbour, which always has a good selection of simple fish dishes for brunch and lunch. Burgers and steaks are also available. The food is very good and the service superb. We always come for lunch when we're in Lossiemouth.

We had a great dinner after finding this place by coincidence. The chef made the mussels without cream for me, [ lactose intolerant], and I'm grateful bc it was extremely tasty. Will totally recommend to pay a visit if you are around the area.

Una noche con amigos, disfrutamos de una excelente experiencia con el equipo en Café 1. La comida era de primera clase, servida por un personal amable y atento. Todos teniendo diferentes entrantes y principales - todos estaban encantados con la calidad y la presentación de la comida. Esperamos volver a visitarlo en el futuro.

Excelente Domingo Asado - fantástico servicio del personal que fue extremadamente servicial cuando llegamos sin una reserva. Muy buena relación calidad-precio (en comparación con otros lugares que hemos comido recientemente). Impresionado por cómo se servía la comida en una tabla con carne de res y Yorkshire en un tazón con verduras, salsa extra, rábano picante en otros platos. Los postres eran deliciosos también!

Tenía el equivalente completo escocés y vegetariano. Ambos completamente excelentes. Tostadas y mermelada están incluidos! Posiblemente el mejor desayuno de la ciudad. Servicio amable y eficiente.

Zeer ruime keuze homemade pies, zowel hartig als zoet. We proefden er drie verschillende en ze waren alledrie erg lekker. Leuk om te zien hoe mensen van heinde en verre pies komen halen. Ontzettend hartelijke bediening. Mooi terras bij mooi weer, veranda zonder uitzicht bij slecht weer. Hele goede prijskwaliteitverhouding.

What a stunning location for a well equipped hostel. It’s virtually brand-new so everything is pristine and the facilities are amazing. The pub next door serves great food and the staff was so helpful and flexible with our arrival time, evening meal times and breakfast.
