The set menu - with a couple of pre starters and sides - was absolutely delicious, generous portions, superb service and very good value.

Absolutely fantastic experience and food. We visited Nov 2020 and we had our second visit today. It's such a wonderful thing that after years The Walnut still can amaze us by the food.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Aizle, the food was delicious, and we were very well looked after by the team who took time to explain each dish with knowledge and charm. It was, however, a shame about the Mice!! Whilst I may have turned a blind eye to a mouse scurrying into a corner, we witnessed consistent raids into the middle of the restaurant throughout dinner. The staff seemed unfazed, suggesting this was a common occurrence. I am disappointed that the team have not responded to my emails, in direct response to their email requesting feedback. I would avoid until rodent situation has been acknowledged, and bought under control.

Beautifully refined food. The presentation, tastes and textures were perfect.The service was relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable. A faultless lunch.

Excellent espresso based coffee, the breakfast menu has to be sampled. Caters for all diets and needs. Friendly staff and service. As it is small, arriving early would be a good idea. Recommended

They have nice staff and lovely food orders. There’s good space for parents to bring their kids and I’ve mainly seen customers visit the place for a soup.

Super little cafe, welcoming and well run. Dog friendly. Menu is limited however, if they're not too busy, other options are available on request such as full English breakfast. No obvious vegan options, other than toast. Oat milk available and gluten free bread. Freshly cooked food and really nice coffee. Full of locals, which is always a good sign!

An experience of the most resplendent calibre! A veritable cornucopia of gastronomic ecstasy spanning a sublime two hours, wherein each morsel—be it saccharine or savoury—was executed with laudable finesse and presented amidst a tableau of unabashed opulence. Particular commendation must be bestowed upon the diminutive haggis, a miniature marvel of culinary craft. The attending staff exemplified consummate professionalism—ever-vigilant yet never obtrusive, striking that elusive balance with aplomb. Given the grandeur of the locale, the expenditure proved eminently judicious. Indubitably, the crowning jewel of our Edinburgh sojourn.

We had dinner with nine people at the end of our vacation and spent the whole afternoon there. Each of us chose different dishes and desserts from the menu - everything was excellently prepared and tasted at the highest level. We would particularly like to highlight the great service provided by Dean and his colleagues, who looked after us attentively, warmly and professionally throughout the afternoon. The whiskey selection was also excellent – ​​the 29-year-old Scotch was a real highlight. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable end to our vacation!
