Absolutely superb restaurant. If you are looking for a wonderful lunch or dinner, look no further.

Absolutely fabulous. Arrived when the the kitchen was going to close in 5 minute's but the chef still cooked the best ever fish and chips. Huge portion, home cooked chips, lovely fat ones, gorgeous fish and salad.

Nice atmosphere inside but quite dark. Good choice of cakes. Service was good. Food was not worth the price at all, cake was quite dry, and drink was not very good considering it wasn't just a regular drink. And expensive for what it was. £26 for 3 people for a coffee and cake 😔 wasn't worth that money unfortunately.

Fui aquí por tragos y algo de comer. No volverá. El lugar estaba sucio. Pedimos comida básica del pub y simplemente no era agradable en absoluto. Uno de los nuestros estaba realmente muy enfermo y otro no se sentía muy bien después y pensar que tal vez más que una coincidencia. Las cosas eran groseras y simplemente no podía importar, sentí que era más que un esfuerzo para servirnos. La guinda del pastel fue el propietario que vino a hablar con nosotros cuando nos quejamos de que el pescado de pescado con patatas fritas estaba frío. Posiblemente el hombre más arrogante que he conocido. Miró por la nariz y fue francamente grosero. No soy de los que se quejan cuando estoy fuera, pero pensé que la forma en que habló con una mujer de nuestro partido fue bastante repugnante y extremadamente irrespetuosa. No volverá.

A long wait for service, a large function was on upstairs. But the food was well worth the wait.

Staff very helpful and friendly. I ordered loaded fries which were good. Not at all soggy or owt like that.

First time having afternoon tea here and it was a lovely experience. At £19.50 per head it was good value as we had hot sausage rolls & delicious freshly made finger sandwiches followed by warm home-made scones then our own choice of cakes from the counter to finish. We were offered fresh pots of tea throughout & provided with fresh chilled drinking water for the whole 2 hours we were there. The best thing of all was the service. Fiona was looking after us and she is an absolute credit to the place. She was warm & friendly from the start, nothing was too much trouble & you could just tell that she loves her job. It makes such a difference when you have such a warm friendly person looking after you & she went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. I’ve always had good service here when popping in for coffee but Fiona went above & beyond and definitely deserves a mention. If I owned a cafe I would want this lady working for me. Two very happy customers who will definitely be back.

We both had the roast beef dinner it was delicious. Everything was delicious. Very good value for money. Lovely friendly staff too. Highly recommended

Pedido 2 x cenas de pescado estándar a £ 10. 10 cada uno, una botella de Irn Bru a £ 2. 30 y una botella de agua a £ 1. 80 que suman £ 24. 30 y se le cobró £ 26. 10 . ¡No nos dimos cuenta hasta que salimos de la tienda y sumamos lo que compramos! Así que no es genial ser sobrecargado £ 1. 80 ! ! El pescado era muy pequeño y bastante insípido por el precio y el color y textura no era blanco / grueso como el pescado habitual que obtenemos. Las patatas estaban bien. Pero después de esta experiencia no creo que volveríamos a comprar fish & chips allí.

A stunning location right on the waterfront. The staff are always friendly and the selection of ales rotates regularly. While it's a Greene King pub, it has a much more independent feel too it. Don't expect a cheap pint though, some of the highest prices in the local area, the downsides of it being brewery owned.

Had the meal deal of a bacon roll and the coffee - good value - only issue is the large queue - perhaps due to being busy - perhaps a mistimed my visit - glad to see that this branch still offers the card version of the loyalty card - may be there is an older client that that visits!!
