Initial impression was good with friendly staff and trendy decor. Breakfast menu has plenty of choice but it is on the expensive side for what you. Eggs Benny - with Salmon and full breakfast both great presentation, however the bread on the benny was fairly soggy when served. Flat white was more like a cappuccino which at nearly £4 you expect true authentic barista quality - although it did look nice. £33 for 2 breakfast, flat white and orange juice on the expensive side - maybe that’s just Ferry prices but wasn’t worth it.

There are definitely times to visit Gracie's, and times to walk on by. Saturday morning is not one of the best times to visit. Loud, out of control children mixed with loud out of control dogs. It's not anything Gracie's can do anything about but it sure does ruin the experience.

I’ll start off by saying that for £41 we had a latte a milkshake 2 toasties and shared chips. I found for the price it was super disappointing, the drinks were nice but my latte was £5 and the milkshake was 6.95! Everything was okay, food was hot etc but the portion of chips was quite stingy! I thought it was average food for the price. The atmosphere was very loud, it did actually put me off coming back as I felt at times I couldn’t hear myself speak.

On a very pleasant day in Broughty Ferry we were delighted to find Gracie’s thriving. A hearty lunch of their excellent plateful of Plant-astic burger and skinny fries with their tasty Shakshuka were accompanied by a delicious Mango, Almond Milk, Banana and Greek Yoghurt drink and an exemplary oat milk de-caff Cappuccino. This was served by smiling and helpful staff, there was a great ambience in a well laid out eating area with handy facilities. We left replete as two very happy diners! Thanks

Had been a few times before for a coffee and enjoyed the atmosphere and décor but decided to try it for breakfast. Was really disappointed in the food. The eggs benedict was awful, the sauce was split and tasted of vinegar, the two poached eggs were solid. It was all served on a thin slice of soggy sourdough that had originally been toasted but due to the wet spinach (as I ordered eggs benedict I had expected bacon) it was mushy, left most of it. We also ordered a scone, which looked pretty when it arrived, dusted with icing sugar. Sadly this did little to disguise a microwaved scone that was doughy and dense, one bite and it tasted so underbaked it too was inedible. While the hot drinks were fine (how wrong can black coffee and tea be) the orange juice was served with loads of ice in the glass which took up much of the room meaning the quantity of fruit juice was half the glass size. Overall we felt it was really poor value, especially as its prices are a bit higher than most of the other local cafes. Will not be back.

Bread was cheap and was soggy so much so that when I pick it up it fell apart. This was either caused by the plate being wet or the surface when making the sandwich was wet. Presentation was poor did not look appetising. Should have walked along to Tesco and got a meal deal!! Extremely overpriced would not recommend and will not be returning.

Lovely little cafe. Ordered 2 teas and 2 scones and was pleasantly surprised by volume of tea, easily 3 cups each in the teapot. The scones were warmed and delicious. My only slight issue was that it took almost 25 mins from ordering to receiving our food and drinks. It was busy, but not mobbed and others who came in after us were served their orders well before us. (inc plates of food!) These things happen, but staff never acknowledged it. Anyway, small thing and it wouldn't stop me returning as the food and setting easily compensated.

I was last here with a friend a few months back. Waitresses came round and informed diners they would need to pay by cash only as the card reader was down. It was my friend's turn to pay but he only had credit cards and no cash at all, luckily, I found a £20 note in my wallet and offered to pay on this occasion. I approached the owner asked for the bill, he said it was £20 + 70 pence, I explained I only had £20 on me but would get the 70 pence to him to which he replied in an abrupt manner 'WHEN' I repeated I would get the 70 pence to him, this time he replied (more aggressively) 'but when, I need to know so I can balance the till'. This made me feel humiliated & very embarrassed especially as there was a group of people standing there waiting to get in. Prior to then, I had been a frequent visitor along with friends colleagues and sometimes family but have not darkened his doorstep since and have no intention of ever doing so again. This rude individual allegedly operates in the hospitality sector but there was nothing hospitable about his behaviour on that occasion, to the owner at Gracie's I can assure you there is no mistake on my part. events stated in my review are 100% accurate and not embellished in any way. How it ended was, I stayed behind whilst John my friend and fellow diner dashed out to get some cash and ensured you got the 70 pence you were making such a song & dance about, then we both left your premises feeling disgusted with your behaviour and vowing never to return - we haven't since.

£11.50 for a toastie with a mushroom and some brie on it and it was absolutely disgusting to boot. My husband owns a restaurant so I know about paying for costs, staff etc but this was just a rip off. Also £11 my friend was charged for a plate of chips with a bit of sausage in blanket on it pitched as Christmas poutine. No idea how they can justify this or how it manages to stay open. Staff were great, very attentive. Food was good, I had the “Chick in hell”, which was spicy chicken nuggets with chilli sauce on a waffle. It was ok, but I was expecting a proper piece of chicken rather than nuggets, which sadly made the whole thing a bit dry and disappointing. Another one of the family had club sandwich (I think) but they said the avocado on it wasn’t great. Good place, with good service and overall good food, a little disappointing that it wasn’t great food

The actual food and server were great. They have a parking lot across from hotel. there is a security guard at front of hotel directly across from parking lot. When we came out my friend's car had passenger side window smashed at 10 AM. either the security didn't see or didn't care.when asked overly he said they don't monitor that lot even though it clearly says it is associate dish the Gracies restaurant and hotel. Took her hours to get windows replaced, glass clear up , feeling violated. I had not been to down town for years . Will definitely NEVER go again. This is tragic and not necessarily due to hotel issues but due to PDX lack of security down town. Do NOT go here.

Also I saw some nice breakfast dishes being brought out. I observed a very "picky" customer next to us who seemed to complain about everything and I was very impressed with the gracious manner that the young waitress dealt with her. A good place for breakfast but prices more on par with what you would expect in Edinburgh. Not well soundproofed so a little noisy for a quiet cup of coffee..

Arriving for Breakfast we were torn between what to have, however made the choice for a full breakfast and OMG this did not disappoint. The flavours were bursting, the quality of the produce was superb and delighted to hear its is all locally sourced. The care and detail into each item within the breakfast was incredible, so many eateries produce a substandard breakfast - not this one. So, to summarise the eggs were perfect, bacon perfect, toast perfect, sausage perfect, black pudding perfect - all in all utterly perfect. My wife had the veggie breakfast, again flavourful and well presented with a good balance - the veggie sausage was delicious too. My advice is, if you want a breakfast with quality ingredients then this is the place to go. As an aside my only disappointment was I left without buying some of the cakes on display but that means I have to go back again 😀

Disappointing not offered what type of bread you wanted and served brown which was quite dry. Husband's pot of tea arrived and his milk was off when he informed the waitress she took away his cup binging him a new one with some milk, so one cup of tea less from teapot!.
