Post Office Bar in Dundee City

This a first time being here will definitely be back excellent food, great service from the service staff to management.

My business partners and I popped in for the first time looking for some food and drinks. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. It was extremely busy but the staff made time to look after us and provide everything we requested. Their smiles and helpful, positive attitudes were infectious and made us all want to stay long after we had finished our meals. Which were nice and reasonably priced. Been back few times since and will continue to do so.

Fantastic place. Service was brilliant. Maranna the manager was friendly and very helpful. Would recommend a visit.

Had yet another great visit. This is a little diamond in the middle of Broughty Ferry. Food is great and the prices are within budget. Dog friendly and a lovely seating area outside. Well worth a visit if you happen to be passing.

Popped in for a pint and a game of pool. Friendly Bar staff, great place to meet with your mates. It was to cold to sit outside but they had a lovely outdoor area.

So very basic menu, if you like burgers or a pie, it's the place for you, also on the menu is little plates of different flavoured fries and tiny finger foods, but not alot else!!, myself and wife walked out as we went to order and there was no burgers for that day as the staff forgot to get them out the freezer 🙃

Frequent customer to the Post Office Bar. Visited yesterday with some of my Friends. Staff extremely friendly the Manager Maranna was great she has a brilliant personality, always willing to talk and builds a great rapport with customers. Also had a nice hot meal cooked by Alex which was very nice at a reasonable price. This is Broughty Ferry's number one sports bar plenty of T.V screens to watch all sports. There is also a pool table and background music which is set at a reasonable noise level. All in all a fantastic place to visit with nice drinks and good food served by a great Team. Was in last week with a group of friends for a meal. We were met by friendly staff and quick service. Would definitely recommend the small plates deals because the katsu fries are just delightful

Food was affy dried out min. Reminded me of time I was 15 years old and ate a whole pack of McVities Rich Tea biscuits with absolutely no drink with it. Maybe a tactic to get punters to purchase more drinks as food so dry. UPDATE - In response to your reply - Will pop in and speak to you about it Hen. Cheery.

Great small plates selection - allowing you to pick & mix bites to have with your drinks. Wide choice of drinks too. All very reasonably priced

Nice bar/ restaurant as you enter the town. There are mixed reviews but we found the staff freindly, didn't eat but the menu looked good and seemed a great place to watch sport with TVs in many locations.

Booked the function suite for my daughter’s birthday party. They were so friendly, helpful and accommodating, the food was amazing and plentiful, the bar staff were brilliant. The hall was lovely, modern and clean. All round a brilliant venue for a party. Would highly recommend! Thank you!!

We were a group of 4. Had thankfully booked a table in advance as it was very busy and wouldn’t have got a table if we hadn’t booked. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. We used the green king app as have bluelight getting 20%discount off food. We had nacho sharing starter and chicken wings which were both very tasty and well cooked. For mains scampi, katsu chicken and beef and ale pie went down very well. I had the rump steak which was cooked to perfection very tender and was a very generous portion size. Even without the discount this would have been great value for what we all had so to get an extra 20% discount was a fantastic saving for what was a very enjoyable meal! Well done to all staff at post office bar!

Popped in to sit in sunshine, ordered some food. Menu usual offerings but tasty. Have all day menu 👍 found music to loud, struggled to talk to one another. Traffic noise too. But good visit.

what difference a year makes. this place is not what it used to be in my opinion. certain beers no longer available and pints like innes&gunn now £5.60 just pure greed compared to some other pups with better atmosphere in the ferry. thanks but no thanks

Sports bar with football being shown on large TVs, also a Pool table, Beer was good, ordered the Gammon, Egg and Pineapple and Wife ordered the Sunday Roast, Peas were undercooked and hard, the Wife's Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes and Stuffing ball were dried out, also they had no Mustard, will not be eating here again. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

I was here with my children on the 9th of June! I asked to speak to the chef but he was busy. So thought I'd leave a review. I order a Balmoral burger.. 10 out of 10 eveything was absolutely perfect and loved that now u get the sauce on the bottom of the bun to because I do feel u don't get enough whiskey sauce haha .. the rosemary chips were so amazing. So salty and so crispy! Perfect My daughter order a steak and gravy pie and was almost crying at how amazing the gravy was. Asked me if we could actually get a second haha she said the steak was soft and wonderfully cooked. Pastry flakey and delicious. And that gravy ! She said it was the best pie she's ever eaten and she craved it for around 4 days after haha grenlen king isn't really something to write home about there food is OK. But this visit was amazing. What ever that chefs doing. Keep it up. Will be back again. Can't wait!!!!!

Great to see this pub being run properly for the first time in years, clean and welcoming. Amazing food and drinks and finally happy friendly staff, will be using more often again. Love it. Was at a function last night at the post office and wasn’t even aware they had one, amazing night, amazing food and the perfect size, will use for any events I have going forward.

This corner bar was an impromptu find but my husband and I had the best time ever. From the food being great to the drinks being made super smooth, we had a great date! An absolute delight to have found this gem!

We hired the function suite for a Saturday afternoon get together for the day after my daughter got married.Guests had travelled from all over and we thought it would be nice to have a place to meet and chat before they all left.The function suite was the perfect size,the buffet lunch we had pre-booked was really excellent (a mix of hot and cold food) and of great quality and value,the staff were all really helpful in organising this for us and gave us great service on the day.We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Visited for lunch on a sunny Saturday and chose to sit outside. Ordered two toasties and fries, 40 minutes later they arrived. Literally their was a handful of people in the place so why 40 minutes? It transpires the waitress was cooking? And burnt my steak for my steak toastie so had to remake it! When meals finally arrives my husbands toastie was so dry he couldn’t eat it ( clearly sat a while under lights while mine was re made) and mine was also terrible. You expect rump steak to be a little chewy but this was so bad I could not physically chew it down enough to swallow. My toastie was covered in a thick layer of caramelised onion chutney too. All in all very disappointed for such a long wait in below par food apparently made by a member of floor staff.

Go every couple of weeks to meet up with some mates and a few drinks. Bar staff are great and always have a good laugh. Cheers

Great Pub with great value for your money, really enjoy the food the kitchen staff do a fantastic job credit to the Head chef!

Stopped in here through recommendations from friends when we were visiting the area. Great place with excellent staff and amazingly delicious food. Would recommend anyone to give it a try.

Came here at 7pm on a Friday night. Ordered the chicken, bacon and leek pie with chips and side of coleslaw food was served quickly and was hot and fresh/homemade. Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. 10/10 would highly recommend for a meal.
