If you are looking for melt-in-your-mouth steak or a burger this Inn has exceeded the expectations of even the top 5 star restaurants. All fresh locally produced food, nothing synthetic. The most organically produced meal I've ever eaten. Like ever!

Highly recommend. Good simple fare but really this is a great hal day activity. We drove about 10 minutes south of Oban for the ferry. I think there may also be a bus. In summer the ferry goes whenever it's full so nearly every 15 min. It takes 5 minutes to cross and honestly it took longer e purchase the tkts via app. The walk to the tea house is about an hour. Very hilly but paved or packed gravel. Castle an additional 20 min walk. Tea house has indoor and outdoor picnic tables. Bathroom. Cakes definitely worth the walk. We got in kinda late like 2 and many foods sold out. Soup and crusty roll was awesome

What a unexpected gem. Passed it numerous times but the first time today we popped in. So pleased we did, super staff, lovely homemade light lunches, and fabulous cakes and scones on offer. Plus excellent local coffee to top it. Even bought a couple of Christmas presents too. I can certainly recommend (dog friendly too!). We'll definitely be popping in next time we're passing.

We were staying in the village for a week and ate at The Ardentinny on three evenings, and had excellent meals each time. Well presented and good sized portions. The menu is fairly small, but well varied, with an obvious use of local products where possible. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and it is dog friendly. (Just check their opening hours during the off season) Highly recommended !

As it was the last night of our holiday we decided to dine at The Colintraive, and we were happy we did. The staff were cheerful, friendly and polite, and others in the pub were also friendly, providing a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing; well presented and really tasty. We would definitely recommend a visit here. We did book beforehand, as we'd been warned that they can be quite busy at times so it is best to make a booking.

We had my mother in law’s 80th birthday celebration for 13 people at the Garvock, and it was perfect. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, the staff were attentive and very helpful, everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you for everything, it was a great night.

My husband and I are planning to move to the area and decided to take a drive there yesterday with our wee jack russell and have a walk about.... what a lovely experience it was - the sun was out and everyone we came across was so lovely and friendly. We noticed the Quaich is dog friendly (like a lot of establishments in the area as it appears.... big bonus for us!). Upon entering, we were greeted by a lovely, friendly lady (who made a big fuss over our pup and brought him a bowl of water right away). We just stayed for a drink but I must say, the food smelt delicious - will definitely stay for food next time. Lovely people and great vibe overall. Can see us being regulars when we move here!
