The Village Inn in Stirling

Very friendly service in a busy wee pub. Steak pie was lovely, plenty of it and prices really reasonable. Really clean and tidy. Would recommend.

We had a great meal and great service on Friday night. The food came quickly and was all very tasty. 10/10 for Blair for keeping our drinks full.

A warm welcome when we entered the pub which was followed by excellent food. The chicken was tender and the macaroni cheese was lovely ; tasty and beautifully presented with garlic bread and a side salad. Would highly recommend a visit. Frequented by locals with a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.

We booked in for a family birthday. We were able to get the back room for it as there was 28 of us. We already had a pre order in and got a fantastic set menu deal :) The kids were able to use the space in the back room and they had a pool table and kids arcade too so plenty to entertain them. We had a fantastic time and the staff were amazing despite being very busy in the front restaurant as well. I am from the other side of Stirling and wouldn't usually come up to Dunblane but I will definitely be back :) The best steak pie in the area for sure

We had stayed in Dunblane for 5 nights and decided to use the local restaurants. This place was by far the best in Dunblane- we wish we had just ate here everytime ha ha. The only picture we have is our brunch snack of wings and the breakfast stack on the day we were leaving Dunblane. We had evening meals the two nights before and both were top notch, reasonably priced and the best value for money. We stayed back for the Saturday entertainment and had a fantastic night talking to the locals. The servers and bar staff were very friendly and helpful with information about the area. We will definitely be back when in Scotland.

Went for their Christmas Turkey in a large Yorkshire. Wow!! Wished I had taken a photo but I was starving it looked amazing. Great portion and one of the best Christmas dinners I have ever had!! Highly recommend, always amazing food and my go to place when in Dunblane. Staff top notch too

A group of 13 of us went in for Christmas Dinner after seeing their menu was a fantastic price. The food was amazing and the comments on the Turkey and Roast Beef were that it was the best they ever had. I personally opted for Prawns, Turkey and Chocolate Fudge cake. Portions were fantastic and the food was amazing. Definitely the best place in Dunblane to eat. The staff were fantastic and tended to everything we needed. We are all booked in for a catch up in January, see you then guys.

A group of 10 of us nipped in for our Christmas Dinner after reading rhe reviews and seeing the menu on Facebook. The turkey dinner is one of the best I have ever tasted. All the group complimented how good it was. At only £23.95 for a three course meal, it's amazing value for money. Portions are great and pub was nice and clean with a nice warm vibe about it. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!!

We came with 7 people from Sweden 🇸🇪without a table reservation. But it was no problem at all. It’s really a family pub AND after eating good food 🥘 they tried to call 2 taxis for us with NO result ! So the owner drowe 3 times with his private car to our hotell FOR FREE 🌹💐🌹 LOVELY 😊 PLACE

Excelled food! Went in for 3 different meals over the span of a month while traveling. Each meal was perfection! This pub/inn is very clean and the hospitality is top notch. James,his family and team are just wonderful and if your lucky you might just get a history lesson about the horseshoe on the corner. 10/10

Nipped in on Sunday for drinks after the service. There was a great selection of drinks at a reasonable price. It's been a while since I have been in but will definitely be back. I never had food but it was busy and it looked fantastic.

We stopped in to the Village Inn after a rainy evening to have a quick drink. We had a glimpse at the menu (which was very extensive and looked decent on price) and decided to have food. We both opted for the steak pie (when in Rome haha). The server was very attentive and made us feel welcome and the steak pie was delicious 😋 It was a good size portion but we still opted to share a desert too. We went for the hot millionaire shortbread with ice cream and it topped off a fantastic meal. The service was delightful so opted for a bottle of red to finish off a great evening.

Came in after seeing the Sunday Roast advertised. Fantastic value for money for me and my partner. Kids had macaroni and chicken goujons and all 4 of us had empty plates. We opted for Waffles, Apple Crumble and 2 chocolate fudge cakes for the kids. Again, nice and tasty. Service was fantastic.

Stopped off at this fantastic place and got a full breakfast for lunch. Portion size was fantastic and a good selection of drinks. The young waiter was friendly and although the place was busy, the wait time was very reasonable. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Popped in for late Sunday lunch and was lucky to get the last table - the place is small, so would definitely recommend booking. Service a little slow because it was so busy but food made up for it. Place is seriously unclean, more flies than the fallin tip. Just had around 4 months of lockdown to freshen the place up a bit. We booked a table at 2:15 and didn’t get seated until 2:40 because there was a mix up which was okay, didn’t receive a starter until 3:30!!!! An hour and 15 minutes after our booking... Couple sat across from us have eaten starter and main then left before we even got our starter, they also arrived after us. The ladies in this bar could do enough for us! Spent lots of time arranging a taxi that would accommodate us and the dog and the service was great. Co-vid restrictions are not designed to enhance your eating experience but staff at the Village Inn were really well organised , friendly and efficient . We ordered Steak Pie ( succulent) and Battered Fish ( huge and tasty ) , both sourced locally . The Inn takes ' Pub Grub ' to the next level . Thoroughly recommend .

Just finished a lovely roast beef lunch for Father’s Day. Delivered by the kids but definitely cooked by the Village Inn.

We ate here while on an overnight stay in Dunblane midweek. The staff were both so attentive and friendly which made us feel very welcome. We just ordered main courses and both enjoyed our delicious hot, freshly cooked food. The portion sizes were generous at a reasonable cost and we would definitely return here if in this area again.

We walked to Dunblane from the place we were staying.Found a dog friendly pub. Decided to have lunch from the lunch menu. We both went for the steak pie. It was fabulous melt in the mouth meat and well cooked flaky pastry. Would recommend the pie. Also had a pudding of chocolate fudge cake was light and fluffy. Other half had apple pie. He enjoyed it. Looking at the menu after we ordered lunch. Found something that sounded great. Went back the next evening to try the chicken breast stuffed with black pudding and wrapped in bacon with chive mash and vegetables. OMG. It was fabulous. Followed by a cheese board of locally made cheeses. Dogs love a good pub too.

We were given a gift voucher for here along with a stay at a local hotel. A Dunblane resident, I hadn’t eaten here in years but will certainly be back. Really tasty steak pie, proper pub food, not overly fancy but well presented. Throw in a genuinely friendly landlord offering great service and it was a very enjoyable evening.

The menu was quite varied with the usual pub classics as well as a few other options. The service was great, extremely friendly, and the food equally as good. I wholeheartedly recommend the Stornaway black pudding stuffed chicken with pepper sauce, I’m afraid the picture really doesn’t do it justice. Delicious. We’d definitely visit again.

We have just enjoyed an amazing meal in The Village Inn. Burger and Chips were fantastic, the best burger I have had in years. My wife had the steak pie and said likewise. Staff extremely friendly also! Highly recommended and easy to see why this place is rated the number one restaurant in Dunblane.

My friend and I booked here on Monday evening. Although quiet with it being a Monday the food was exceptionally good. My friend had the lasagne and I had steak pie both excellent choices.

In for A quick pint and had a very friendly bar man and great relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended

If you ever find yourself in Dunblane, go check this place out. Amazing staff, the owners are always accommodating, the bartenders are awesome and the food is SICK!!! Plenty of great locals there to have a beer with and talk rubbish to after your trip. Two train stops to Stirling castle and William Wallaces' (Mel Gibsons) statue where he fought of the English in the movie. What more could you want!

The Village Inn is a decent pub. The bar area is smallish but smart, and there is plenty of extra booth seating extending off it. There is also another bar with darts board, pool table and jukebox.

Nice people. OK food. Not expensive. What's the harm. if you want a friendly atmosphere, a few drinks and a bite to eat. Don't walk by this place.

Nice enough place for a pub type of meal, food was ok, although a couple of my wife’s large scampi were not cooked properly. Mine was fine though. Not sure we would go back again though.
