Disappointing, on two counts. The first was that although I said I was eating there (not taking it away), I was still given takeaway crockery including a plastic cup. I NEVER use single-use plastic cups. I either take my own mug, or go without. But also, there was no recycling bin! It was just one dustbin, and people were putting aluminium cans and plastic and rubbish all in together. The second disappointment was that on a blazing hot day, when I thought I would treat myself to a £4 iced coffee... it was barely cold, let alone iced! It was lukewarm, basically. Having said that, the toasted sandwich was nice - they had granary bread, which made it much more substantial and nutritious. The 'salad' was a bit meagre (a few bits of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber) and might better have been called a 'garnish'. The salad was only £1 extra, but really I would rather have paid a bit more and got a bit more. It's really not hard to buy these things these days. A tub of coleslaw from Lidl's would pay for itself with one customer! I went in with such high hopes, as it was a lovely day and a lovely location, but I won't go back. It's just not worth the money.

Did not stay in the hotel. But visited the Potting shed Bistro in the grounds. Highly recommend the quaint little potting shed bistro in the grounds of the Roman Camp Hotel. Unique ambience, lovely food and great staff. In my view the best place to dine out in Callander.

We were in the Craignure area and looking for a hot drink and cakes. There was a large queue early on, but we called back later and got served easily. We sat outside which gets a great view of the ferry terminal, though it's worth beng aware that there is limited seating inside and outside, so if the queue looks big it may be difficult to get a seat. The coffee and cakes were lovely. My only small criticism is that I wasn't offered a tray to carry my order on, and because we were sitting outside, it was quite awkward to carry everything. This should have been plain to see to the woman serving me, but instead another customer offered me help. I appreciate that only counter service is offered, but this did suggest that hospitality and service were perhaps lacking and is why I never left a tip on the day.

Nice coffee shop next to Rugby Park, but very long queues despite it not being busy. 6 members of staff working but no organisation. Took 15 minutes to get served 1 latte. Staff are friendly.

Seemingly this is the only fish and chip shop in Campbel town so we headed there for a take-away. First impressions place not the cleaniest looking place looks a bit rundown tbh!! Staff were lovely though. Food was awful - we had a fish supper the batter was very greasy and chips poor!! Our son had a sausage supper his chips were a bit better but the 2 sausages looked cheap and dried up. A local did warn us it wasn't the best wish we'd listened. Sorry lads it's a "you could do a whole lot better" from us.

My hubby and I always get a large special haddock supper as I have a wee appetite it makes it enough for both. It’s freshly made as are the chips and the complimentary tub of coleslaw is delicious. It’s spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We tend to get our food delivered and it always arrives fresh, piping hot and really delicious. Definitely the best chippy in Kilsyth

The coffee was good just like the rest. This use to be my favourite Starbucks in the city. It use to be spotless, not any more , tables left in a mess although plenty of staff and really not that busy. Then the staff where do I start.miserable!!!!!! I really mean that . No polite conversation nothing. I’m not sure why a group of young people could be this unhappy. Maybe a bad place to work but something ain’t good

Im not sure why I went, it's a chain! Maybe it was the fact I booked a table for 9 and they took £10 a head deposit!? Anyway, surroundings are nice and staff are nice if a little unattentive - but I can cope with that. The Calamari starter was all greasy batter, little calamari, the tandoori lamb chops (3 chops on a plate of veg) were Chuck as old boots (£24). Other guests faired a bit better. £194 with only 2 people having 1 drink and had no puddings. Very disappointing. Feel utterly ripped off.

El gerente es muy antipático me supera cómo consigues un trabajo en servicio al cliente con esta actitud grosera. Decidimos no esperar hasta que estuviera abierto en 10 minutos.
