Seemingly this is the only fish and chip shop in Campbel town so we headed there for a take-away. First impressions place not the cleaniest looking place looks a bit rundown tbh!! Staff were lovely though. Food was awful - we had a fish supper the batter was very greasy and chips poor!! Our son had a sausage supper his chips were a bit better but the 2 sausages looked cheap and dried up. A local did warn us it wasn't the best wish we'd listened. Sorry lads it's a "you could do a whole lot better" from us.

Got a fish supper and received one small fish and a handful of chips. Chips avarage, fish shocking for a fishing community like Campbeltown. Greasy fish very thin and soggy like Spngebob.

Really good tasty sausage suppers. Had to wait a bit for the food, but it was worth it as you know they were freshly cooked. Good sized portions, and chips were cooked just the way I like them. Crispy on outside, but not too crispy, and fluffy in the middle. Reasonable prices too! Will definitely be back when I'm back in Campbeltown

Waited 1hour and 15mins for food i wouldn't give my dog(if i had a dog). Portion of cheap farmfoods scampi, a fish supper where the fish had more bones than Fred Wests garden and a burger more burnt than a Rhodes hotel. £23 for this bag of garbage. Honestly don't waste your time or your money on this honking grub. Up all nite feeling sick also.£1.40 for a decent can of dog food and no complaints.

First time trying The Crew Chipshop and it won’t be the last. Good prices, friendly staff and the food was tasty. All orders were being cooked fresh so there was about a 10 minute wait for our food - definitely worth the wait. Very busy on a Friday night at dinner time, always a good sign if a chipshop is busy. We noticed quite a lot had put through a telephone order for pick up which seemed a good idea. This shop only accepts cash for payment but there is an ATM opposite if needed. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Great food, we went back more than once in our holiday and my sons would have gone every day🤣👍. Very reasonable prices and happy, friendly, quick service. Highly recommend a visit. They only accept cash but there is a cash machine directly opposite the place👍

On arriving and seeing the McD-style ordering screens we weren't too hopeful. But the options were good and the process straightforward, just enter table number per the markers next to the screen and take it with you to a spare table. Hot drinks came quickly, and food not much longer. We just had breakfast/brunch. Staff are excellent; constantly clearing tables and wiping them down for the next occupants.

**Review of Lido Chip Shop in Helensburgh: A Pizza Lover’s Delight** If you’re looking for a chip shop that goes above and beyond the usual fare, Lido Chip Shop in Helensburgh is a must-visit. While known for their classic fish and chips, their pizzas are an absolute standout. Yes, you read that right—pizzas at a chip shop! And let me tell you, they are fantastic. During my recent visit, I tried their **Pepperoni and Jalapeño Pizza**, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The base was perfectly crispy yet chewy, with a generous topping of high-quality pepperoni and just the right amount of spicy jalapeños to give it a kick without overwhelming the palate. The cheese was melted to perfection, and the tomato sauce had a rich, tangy flavor that tied everything together beautifully. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. For a chip shop, the pizza felt gourmet—fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and a portion size that left me thoroughly satisfied. It’s clear that Lido Chip Shop takes pride in their offerings, whether it’s their traditional dishes or their more unconventional creations like pizza. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was exactly what you’d expect from a cozy, local chip shop—welcoming and unpretentious. If you’re in Helensburgh and craving something a little different from the usual chip shop menu, do yourself a favor and try their pizzas. You won’t be disappointed. **Rating: 5/5** Lido Chip Shop has truly mastered the art of pizza-making, and I can’t wait to go back and try their other varieties. Highly recommended! J,

Been here a few times whilst visiting friends on the island & am told it's under new management & if so they're doing a fab job. Friendly & welcoming service & just a nice snug pub.

A great place with a superb view of Loch Lomond. The dishes are well-prepared and tasty at reasonable prices, considering the location. Friendly service.
