The Standing Man in East Ayrshire

Great bar, Great atmosphere, Great staff & Great prices. If you want to go on a night out in Kilmarnock then if you've tried the rest now try the best ( Standing man) you can't beat it !!!

For what probably started off as a breath of fresh air to the town of Kilmarnock, this place is now attracting the same undesirables. It has become nothing more than a licensed bookmaker with the freedom to sit with your drink and vape. There is still that mindset in people that they can vape where they want and the couldn’t care less attitude whether they spoil your enjoyment

Night ruined by one old bartender who accused us of being sick and didnt serve us any more drink …

Avoid handing money over to these people who run this place at all costs unless it is to pay for drinks only! They hold a raffle during the weekly quiz, now everyone knows a pub raffle should be paid back out to the loyal punters unless some goes to charity ( WHICH IT DOES NOT ) they make up prizes of envelopes which contain prizes such as 1 pint or a shot there is even an envelope with zero ( NO PRIZE ) After taking at least £200 in raffle tickets the main prize creeps up about £20 ... where does the rest go I ask the manager and ASSISTANT who also plays in the quiz and has had many wins??? They also came 1st and 2nd in the SEALED envelopes world cup game ... how lucky was that ?? what a team! PLEASE DO NOT HAND OVER ANY MONEY IN THIS PUB UNLESS IT IS FOR DRINKS ONLY

Friendly and welcoming door staff, very large pub good range of drinks, good atmosphere, would go in again if visiting the area, much better than some of other pubs!
