Used to be the place to go but now with the new pub opened it speaks for itself .

Good pint of Guinness, good staff and value for money but can be a bit slow at times when busy

A huge premise serves delicious food

All very enjoyable. Staff were exceptionally friendly and the building has some interesting history.

Curry was yummy granddaughters fish was amazing

I am saddened to say that I am embarrassed for the manager, he has created a harmful environment. Threatened to kick us out while we weren’t doing anything and were waiting on the main menu to start. He was unprovoked and I believe he has given this spoons a bad look. I will be back but he has dampened my experience this time.

Not been in for while, usesd to be a great place for meal and drink, but just basic 'spoons'

You need to stop your customers smoking weed at your door entrance. And also have a sign about loud foul language used by some customers

Every Friday myself and my friend pop into The Wheatsheaf Inn for a couple of drinks and a catch up. The staff are always friendly and polite, and the place was clean.

Clean and tidy reasonably quick service and pleasant staff

Its a bit scruffy and felt like I needed a booster seat to reach the table. Other than that, good service, decent nosh. 😁

Was in on a Sunday night so it was quiet but my boyfriend ended up being asked to leave - quite aggressively by the barman, even though he was only asking why there is CCTV in the men's toilet, facing onto the first urinal. Won't be rushing back!!

It's a good spoons but the staff have ALWAYS been a bit off hand. They don't seem happy to work here.

Three of us had meals all different but none of us finished our food. Service was exceptional.

I agree with previous comment, Mr. Hill; my experience at wetherspoons could have been better if I didnt have to sit all wrapped up. Even more annoying was the fact that where I was seated had an air conditioning unit above us blowing cool air. We did mention this to a staff member who said she would look into this but it remained on, therefore we had no option but to move to another seat. We noticed that the other customers in this area also having taken their outdoor jackets off, soon were putting them back on and some of them also moved to other seats and some even left the pub with their drinks unfinished. Surely, this issue could be rectified to maintain your existing customers and attract new customers.

This pub is always cold everyone sitting with hats and jackets on.Why not add 10p to items and put the heating on im sure youd rather have warm and happy people than cold and unhappy come on spoons get a grip

Standard Wetherspoons with the added bonus of downstairs toilets but was a bit unkept, had to move table twice because either table or chairs were broken.

You know what you're getting with Wetherspoons. Beers are great value, breakfasts too. Tim Martin was a big voice on Brexit, so he must take his share of the blame for the damage to the country......but everyone should be able to go for a beer that doesn't cost them £6.50.

Usually come in here whilst my car is getting its MOT done, handy location! Usual Spoons food, never had a bad meal. Staff always helpful and food is quick. Sometimes can be a bit loud inside by other customers but again, it's a Spoons.

Brilliant value for money, no frills pub. Nice staff.

Love a Wetherspoons yet I had never been into the one in my home town. Surprisingly large inside but typical Spoons. We drank plenty, eat food and spent a lot less than we would have spent elsewhere. I'll be back.

It's a solid three you know what you getting in spoons the staff were a bit on the crabby side but was a Sunday about 9.30am

Really open, airy pub. Clean disabled toilet.

Visited with wife for breakfast today. It was reasonably busy, and we struggled to find a clean table to sit at. Order through the App which was reasonably simple & painless. Food came out within 10 minutes which was pleasing. Small Scottish breakfast for me with added haggis. Beans had been heated more times than the earth. Tattie scone overcooked, haggis lukewarm as was the egg. Bacon was okay and the black pudding could have smashed windows. Ordered a coffee/hot chocolate on App, which when hot chocolate was dispensed from the machine was hot milk with sprinkles on top. Took it to the bar to ask for another mug so I could try another machine. Server was abrupt and rude, stating both machines weren’t working right so I couldn’t have one. ‘What ye wantin’ instead?” With a torn faced look wasn’t the best response either. I politely declined an alternative as I had also ordered an apple juice. No refund offered. Might it have been an idea for the other server to tell people when dropping mugs at the table that the hot chocolate wasn’t working? They were clearly aware of it. Wetherspoons usually do a much better job as a chain but this was really below par.

Only 1 star for food as I didn't have any and there was not the option to ignore.

If you're looking for a no frills breakfast, this is the place. Food is good for what you pay. Refill coffee is a bonus and tastes good. All for more than half of other places

Was good atmosphere, food was very good. Didn't have to wait to long for food to arrive. Definitely popping back when over that way again.

Got BF feel it was reheated everything dry especially sausage bean over heated, iv allways enjoyed BF, this is the first time I have been dissatisfied was there at 830am today

Not somewhere I would choose again - self-serve drinks, sticky tables, dark corners - not for me.

First visit on a CAMRA outing. Pleasant atmosphere and busy for a Saturday. Real Ale very much available. Had the Midnight Sun and the Birds and Bees, both well worth it. Meal was of good standard. Those into high expectations on food no doubt wouldn't find it appealing ( my partner for one), but for me it's good meals.

Good food good service and good value for money as you would expect from wetherspoons. However the atmosphere is flat . Music would go a long way especially in the evenings.

Was in Weatherspoons on wednesdayand had the small fish and chips with peas. The fish was ok taste wise but if it was much smaller it would be a fish finger. The tea was so weak you would have to put more than one tea bag in the cup. Had seen a review on weatherspoons pubs in england and the small fish that was ordered was a lot bigger than mine. Perhaps you get a better deal in england. aFor much the same price (£7) Morrisons supermarket diner would give you a better meal and i hate saying that. I did have a free drink with the fish meal but indirectly i paid for my pint. Morrisons give you a larger supper but no pint.

Nice little breakfast. Its good that you get the refillable coffee and tea.

Had our evening dinner here having only arrived earlier that day,it being Monday it was fairly quiet. The meals we had were excellent and the service was excellent.

It is what it is. Gutted to see no bao buns on the menu but Irvine have them! Food is fine, service is fine and quick, tables get cleared regularly. It's an average wetherspoons.

Very friendly, efficient staff, had a complaint dealt with appropriately,.resolved quickly without being made feel awkward.

I only go to the brig to meet friends and have a drink I have seen the meals coming out and they look good and it is always busy the only thing is that sometimes you have to que but nobody seems to know were the que starts so sometimes I can be a pain in the arse

This was my first visit here, and I will definitely be going back. It's a very good-sized place and really well kept. Even the outside smoking area was clean and tidy. It's has a very comfortable atmosphere and you feel welcome on arrival. Ordering food was quick and easy. It came out in almost no time at all. Very fresh, hot, and tasty. The cost for 2 of us to eat and have a drink was less than £15. Quality!! Highly recommend 👌

Very dingy sticky carpets tables uncleared and dirty

Visited for first time for quick lunch with friends. Ordered a burger asked for no mustard due to allergies but found out later it had mustard! 4 visits to toilet in 12 hours thanks to staff ignoring my no mustard request! Portions shockingly small! Won’t be back!

Simple. Love Witherspoons. This one has a nice local family pub vibe. Place was busy on the Friday evening I came in. Tables were in need of a wipe, and the wait staff seemed a little run off their feet, but everything was quick and easy.

Prefectly adequate for a Wetherspoons. Took a while for the food to arrive at the table but it was as expected when it did turn up. Staff were fine although they did not seem interested in clearing away any of the dishes from vacated tables. Seating was a bit cramped with about one too many tables existing in some seconds.

None of the tables were cleaned, had to sit at a dirty table and took ages before someone came to clean it

Lovely food and good prices. Quick service and they allowed us to take our kids in at 8pm on a Saturday but reminded us a nice manner that children need to leave the premises by 9pm. Would definitely go again.

Staff are nice sometimes you can see how stressed out they are. The place is cleaned regularly and the food and drinks are good. Good place to go for a bar lunch or a night out.

Went on a Frid a/noon. Just wanted food. I had the most delicious pizza, and my O/H had a burger, which he enjoyed. As someone on crutches, it was good that the disabled toilet was open. I didn't have to go looking for a person with a key, which is not only inconvenient, but highly embarrassing too. The service was quick. We were surprised when our food arrived so quickly. Testament to an organised kitchen/chef 😋 very impressed. Would definetely recommend.

I've been here a few times now with my hubby and also with my hubby, daughter and son-in-law and each time I've had a lovely time, really enjoyable and good food

Just another weatherspoons but the staff are always great.

Nice and simple. Easy to order. Excellent prices. Wetherspoons gets a lot of stick sometimes, but for a quick bite to eat at reasonable prices, they can't be beaten. The pub in Kilmarnock is ideal, just off the town centre. App ordering makes it simple, quick service. Happy with my visit.

Food normally good. Couple of us got burger and chips, the burger bun crumbled when we started eating it. Felt out of date and just flung on to the plate. Wasn't to happy 😕 staff not very nice, won't be back

Eaten here for 2 nights. Food piping hot and served on hot plates. Delicious. Servers were really friendly and helpful. Wine was so inexpensive and really very nice compared to other restaurants who charge a fortune. Will be back......
