This Review relates to the Portstewart location only - can’t find a separate listing for it on TA Experience as follows: Entered - smoky/ poor ventilation - coming from kitchen area Noisy - lots of noise (plates etc) from open kitchen area competing with the music and people trying to talk over both Cold (arrived 9:30 am - would have expected to be warmer by then) Expensive - but then most things on North Coast are Scones - limited variety. Not fresh. Covered in a sugar glaze. Excuses - sorry we have run out of jam. Went back to kitchen area to ask if had any marmalade instead? No. ‘But you are serving scones and toast’? Response - It’s very busy this time of year. My response - that’s why you plan for it. It should have been a single star. But it’s Christmas

I love visiting the Cromore with family and friends. The service and food at this family run restaurant can only be termed excellent and if any problems are dealt with promptly.

We had dinner here while we were in the Derry area. The service was good, and our meal was promptly served after ordering.

Took Mum for lunch she wanted fish and chips. What a disappointing vist. Send fish back and was charged £1.80 for tartar sauce and 50 pence per sauce. The lady with long black her looked to be the boss was very fake. Mum decided she wanted some cake when I went to till to order was told I would be charged a further £2.00 for my card payment so in total it cost me £38 totally rip of.Will never be backbfood awful staff very rude.

Shocking Customer Service. I went here (Foyleside Derry ) on 29th August at around 11am for breakfast with family (4 people) . We ordered a Byrne Breakfast Soda, Waffles and Nutella, two teas a scone and a croissant. The ordering experience was good and we went to our table. Two of the party were just having tea and and scone and a croissant.. The other two the Byrne Breakfast Bap and the Waffles.. After 10 mins I began to wonder had they forgotten the Bap and Waffles. After 15 mins I decided to ask. At this point I was told abruptly by the female assistant (who took the order) that she was getting them ready (no apology for the delay). 5 minutes later (now twenty minutes after ordering) and everyone else finished and my Latte finished 10 mins previously a server appeared at the table. She announced..."Breakfast Bap" to which I replied "Yes here, but it's more like a Lunch Bap now" ....Her reply is actually why I am writing this review....She said to me...."Lovely Attitude"....Not, Sorry for the delay or can I get you another coffee......nothing but a snide reply. I was the customer and I was right in that a 20 minute wait was more than excessive for a Bap with two sausages and a poached egg. People like this don't deserve a job. There are so many people who could and would provide a better customer service. If you (Synge and Byrne) continue to employ people like this your business will not last long. It's not my thing to take the time to leave reviews like this but her disrespect for your business and your customers compelled me to do this. I trust you understand.

The food here is really awful, they use cheap cuts of meat but charge the same as other restaurants that provide good quality meat. Returned sirloin steak as it was substandard, it resembled frying steak rather that sirloin- thin, chewy and tough- definitely could not justify £18.95. I chose the burger as a replacement for the ‘sirloin’ unfortunately the quality was also poor, have had much better burgers from chip shops- thin, over processed, cheap meat & really bland. My partner had the rump streak, marginally better than the ‘sirloin’ but to be honest I’ve purchased more substantial steaks from Tesco at £3.50 each. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but because of the unacceptable standard of the food we definitely won’t be returning.

Banbridge Ladies Netball Club held our annual awards night in the Belmont Hotel on 7th May and what a fantastic experience we had! Ian had the hall set up perfectly for our arrival at 530pm that evening, the food was served efficiently at 6pm and was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice from their buffet range! Michael could not have done enough for us and made sure our 192 guests were well looked after and catered for, this number of people was absolutely no bother to the Belmont at all! Every single member of staff was polite and friendly! We have already booked to host our anniversary gala dinner here in September and we will definitely be using this venue again next year for our awards! We’ve had great feedback from coaches, players and parents! I could not recommend the Belmont highly enough! Get your event booked here… you won’t regret it!!!

Been here for lunch on several occasions with friends, and have always had a good experience. Food has been invariably good from the £10 lunch menu, service excellent from friendly staff, and the only minor complaint each time was that the background music was a little too much in the foreground for comfortable conversation. Otherwise, highly recommended.

On Wednesday night we wnet to the The Front Bar in Banbridge. Our mail was very good, but the service was not up to standard. When we went in we waited for about 5 minutes before any one came to serve us. We eventually got our meal and as I said the food was good, but the staff and not trained properlly. This not the fault of the staff, but the management themselves. I think for what our meal cost the service could have been much better.

Visited Friday 12 th July two roast dinners cold roast potatoes asked for them to be warned up did it for us they asked us did we want any condiments we said mustard please fine served mustard then asked for bill they charged us £3 pound for the mustard which would be bad enough in any situation but served cold toasties and then charged for mustard and people wonder why restaurants and hotels are closing regularly I think £18 is enough for any roast dinner anywhere thanks
