The best restaurants serving British food in Northern Ireland

Superb staff, nothing is too much trouble, food was excellent and great value. Rooms are very clean but a little dated. I’d recommend this hotel to anybody , unfortunately the bar was getting refurbished when I stopped there but that didn’t stop the drink from flowing (hic)

Absolutely delicious!! Even my Dad loved it, and said he will definitely be back, im a vegetarian and had the vegetable fajitas, amazing!!

Went last night for our anniversary. Everything was fantastic - food, atmosphere, and staff, all amazing! First visit, but definitely won't be our last.

The food was unbelievable! Not only amazing quality but definitely well priced. You couldn't fault the service if you tried. The show cooking was class, the chef was excellent and the laughs we got from the interactions simply made the night. Would highly recommend to all and will definitely be back again and again. Highly underrated venue in Newtownards.

English bar man was great craic

It was very last minute booked sat night for Sunday lunch for 8 people. I brought a birthday cake and all the staff came out with it so made it special. All enjoyed our meals. Thankyou.

no food no more going downhill since covid

Great food, very quick with my order, but forgot my friends.

The Wildfowler has been closed well over a year! The owner should update or remove the restaurant from online pages. Very sad. I remember this was a great place even when I was young. It would be amazing to see it re-open, the fact that it was dog friendly added to the appeal. A terrible loss on the peninsula

Good menu, great options for vegetarians as well as carnivores, and lots of seafood options. Well cooked food, good selection at the bar, reasonable prices. Good service.

This place used to be a preferred family location for Sunday tea. Still is but there is a huge difference from few years ago and now. Food still delicious but portions sizes are not the same. I remember the fish and chips were massive on you plate and now is not bigger than you palm. It’s a shame that we have mention that to the staff but I believe not much of notice was taken. Never mind, plenty fish in the sea. It will be long before I get back there.
