As a family we have eaten here many times over the past 7 years. We loved the food and service here. We would have highly recommended anyone to eat here. Sadly our most recent visit was underwhelming. The majority of our food was served lukewarm and even when reheated (upon request) it was still a bit of a let down. The staff did apologise and reheat the mains and sides for us. Sadly we will not be back and we would no longer recommend anyone to eat here.

We had the best late lunch at this spot after touring Giant's Causeway and the rope Bridge. It was early when we went so the restaurant was not crowded. My husband swears this is the best spot for fish n chips in the country! We really enjoyed this spot and will recommend to others.

We had a nice lunch at the Fullerton Arms but be warned, once the Paddywagon buses arrive, it gets very loud and almost manic! We were lucky we had already ordered and received our food just before 2 full coach loads descended. They do have a separate room, although quite a number chose to sit in the bar instead and were very noisy! We had ordered the Fullerton burgers which were lovely ( a bit pricey at £17 plus extra for the chips!) but my elderly mum ordered haddock which, although it appeared to be huge, was mostly batter. It took a long time for our plates to be cleared away and then we waited a further 20 minutes on a cappuccino and tea. We weren’t in a rush and realised the staff were under pressure but it is obvious that the coach parties definitely get preferential treatment. We won’t go back again at lunchtime but might try an evening meal the next time.

We have dined here many times, a few years ago we were on holiday for a week nearby and ate x3 times here as the food and choice was so excellent. Sadly today was a disappointing return. I had the pork medallions and chips which was just ok, nothing to write home about especially at £18 odd. My partner is a vegetarian and on the menu were x3 options, however one was a salad with Parmesan cheese: Parmesan cheese is not vegetarian, nor is there a “vegetarian version” of Parmesan. Major red flag. That left a choice of 2, pasta : boring and lazy, and a spicy bean burger, also boring but the least worst option. The spicy burger arrives, cardboard in a dry bun with a couple of salad leaves. Chunky chips were very dry as if they had been lying about a while. A very sad fall from grace. I’m hoping the current owners read this and up their game. A once highlight of the north coast.

We stayed here in early October and would highly recommend this cosy, friendly hotel with a Game of Thrones theme. The rooms/bathroom have been decorated to a high spec, very modern and cosy. Loved the shower! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was beautiful. Would recommend the fish and the Guinness pie. We enjoyed a visit to Ballintoy harbour- dramatic scenery on a windy day. White park bay is definitely worth a visit though not for anyone with disability issues. Steep walk down - even steeper on the way back up but definitely worth it. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed one night and ate dinner in the bar/restaurant. It was busy but cosy and welcoming to all comers. The food was very good but the portions were huge. I had the chowder followed by the “small” portion of mussels. The bowl of chowder was delicious. When the mussels arrived I queried the portion size as the bowl was huge, that was the small portion! It was delicious but I’m glad I didn’t go for the large helping.Staff were very friendly and as a pub grub venue it is very good.

My wife and I stayed here for a midweek break and had the best time. It's quite unassuming from the outside but inside it's a warm cosy and very welcoming place. The rooms are beautiful and very nicely decorated, my life loved the quirky lights. They are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bar is lovely and very traditional with a good selection of drinks and food. The food itself is exceptional. We had such a good meal here. The mussels are unbelievable, the portions are outstanding and very well presented. I had the Guinness and beef pie which again was beautiful and my wife had chicken gujions which went down a treat. Desserts again...unreal, sticky toffee pudding all the way. We had a great nights sleep with no noise and went down the nest morning for a great breakfast. The staff we're super nice throughout our stay and the service was 100%.We will be back here for sure. We visited this pub for lunch on our tour from Belfast to the Giants Causeway. Food was prompt and they catered superbly with numbers - polite, friendly and helpful. Moreover, the food was delicious! We chose Irish beef and Guinness pie with mash and vegetables. Not a scrap of gristle or fat to be seen under the puff crust top, and the veggies were cooked so they were hot through, but still crisp (not soggy mush). Mash was delicious too. Game of thrones fans might like the carved wooden door and the throne in the smaller dining room.

Having asked about the gluten free offering and been told that the chef would adjust the dishes to accommodate we were exceptionally disappointed when we were told that we could have a burger without the bun, no chips but we could have mash or baby boiled potatoes. For dessert the accommodation would be apple crumble without the crumble - basically stewed apple then! The other member of the party had a decent meal. Salt and chilli prawns for starter and mussels with the Jawbox sauce for main. The setting was cold and dark. The front door was hardly ever closed and the wind coming off the sea was blowing straight into the restaurant. Having heard great reports we left very disappointed. Gluten free clients always seem to be treated like second class citizens. We won’t be rushing back.

We spent for nights staying here and had pre booked a reservation for evening meals. The service we received was not consistent, sometimes very prompt and with lovely friendly staff, others staff who appeared disinterested and had to be chased for items ordered. The food ranged from disappointing to acceptable but nothing special and quite expensive. Breakfasts were the same, the most acceptable were made to order I.e. poached eggs, although scrambled egg was overcooked and dry. I would not eat here again as I’m sure there will be better places, especially when more open their doors following the COVID lockdown. An effort was made regarding COVID measurements but again the quality of this was variable.

Having spent almost a week in NI and experiencing consistently poor service in most dining establishments I am delighted to give the Fullerton a big thumbs up. The setting is very nice with well spaced out tables. The menu has something for everyone with a separate section for mussels which are a house speciality.Service by Helen and the rest of the staff was promt, attentive and best of all friendly. We had pork belly and salt and chili prawns as a starter, followed by mains of fish, pasta and 2 types of mussels. All of the food was cooked and presented to an excellent standard. The wine choices are very limited but that for me is no big deal. Prices for food of this standard are very reasonable and we will be back. Highly recommended

I can truly say that this is one of the nicest meals we have ever had. The cod was melt in your mouth and the batter was perfection light and crispy and wasnt greasy and the portion was huge! My daughter had kids cod goujons and they were the same! The front of house staff were very friendly and I told them how lovely their food was she said the chefs would really appreciate the compliment as they had been very busy and where working very hard! Had dinner here tonight, greeted warmly by the lovely Helen. Seated in a small raised area to the left in the bar. Duck and Chilli Prawn starters were delicious as were our chicken and seabass mains. However just before finishing our mains a couple and their 2 dogs were seated close to us. Although reasonably well behaved, the larger dog barked randomly at us(and to be honest smelled also). A third couple were then seated in this raised area and it was apparent immediately the lady was unhappy and didn't expect to dine with 2 dogs in the same small space. As dog owners ourselves I fully understand this and it may be an idea for waiting staff to check first with diners or allocate a specific dog area?It won't put us off going back but I feel perhaps other diners should have this taken into consideration.

There is no better place to shake off the lockdown blues. Our first real Guinness and restaurant food since lockdown did not disappoint. Normally bustling with Game of Thrones tourists, a more gentle and relaxed atmosphere was enjoyed on this usually packed bank holiday Saturday. Today I’ve just found my new favourite pub/restaurant. The food was fantastic, and great value. I would recommend the 1608 Mussels, Beef and stout pie, or the Butterfly Chicken with champ and their chunky chips, all served pipping hot. Great food after a long walk and the Guinness refreshing. The staff very friendly & informative. It’s the added extras that set this as my number 1 is that it’s dog friendly (my pup receiving a bowl of water and treats) and after only finishing watching Game of Thrones box set to find out it has one of the 10 doors along with the Iron throne. Staying in Ballintoy for the night during a hike with the family along Northern Ireland’s coast. This is a sleepy, quiet village, with the Fullerton Arms as about the only game in town.My family had dinner, and it was traditional pub grub. Between us, we had a Guinness/beef pie, fish & chips, burger & chips and a curry dish. The food was served promptly and piping hot. Although not the tastiest we have ever eaten, it was good.I came back after the family was tucked into the Ropebridge House B&B for the night, which is an excellent choice if you are in need of lodging in Ballintoy. I had several pints of their local IPA from Franciscan Wells, which was really good.Service for dinner and the later beer was friendly and casual. Stayed here for one night with my husband and my parents. Tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious rooms with high end bed linen and soft towels. The bar/restaurant served really good food, served by friendly and efficient staff. The mussels menu with a variety of sauces is to die for, and a small pot (was really quite a large pot) was accompanied by freshly baked, really good wheaten bread for dipping. My husband and I had ribeye steaks - tender and cooked to perfection, with all the trimmings, and well done chunky chips. Yum! There was a little trio of desserts and whilst I am not really a dessert person, they too were delicious. A small selection of wines, but again reasonably priced. A pot belly stove roaring and dog friendly - a delightful little night away. And....as a special treat for Valentine’s Day, all of the ladies in the restaurant were given a large red rose We look forward to our next little night away.

Among the highlights of tour of Northern Ireland was a night at the Fullerton Arms, a country inn in Ballintoy. Our large room was very comfortable and the spacious, recently-remodelled ensuite bathroom rivalled those of four star city hotels. The staff could not have been more welcoming. Our over-the-phone reservations were made the night before with Taylor, who reminded us to check in at the pub bar when we arrived. This we did and Taylor herself was on hand to welcome us. The small inn is located on the coast, just a short drive from both the Giants Causeway and the town of Bushmills, home of the iconic distillery. Our delectable evening meals were nicely presented and reasonably priced. Servings were generous. Their Steak and Guinness Pie was especially good and the chunky fries were cooked to perfection. The warm lunch we had at our GoT Iron Islands guide's advice was very welcomed! After a long half a day of walking in wind and cold, pre-ordering so that all is ready for when we get there was very very smart as it allowed kitchen to be ready for us and we did not have to wait for food.

It was a wet evening and we were tired to we went into the Fullerton Arms. We came straight into a crowded, noisy room. When a waitress named Helen approached and asked if we would like a menu I said it was a bit noisy for us. She said we could read the menu anyway and she would be back in a minute. A minute later she said the dining room was closed but she had got permission to open it for us. She took us through a little room decorated with lots of Game of Thrones exhibits into an empty dining room, showed us to a table at a window and gave us a menu each. When she took our orders the food was served with only a short wait and was delicious. Helen came into the dining room a further three times to check that everything was all right. I had chowder, which came with a generous helping on a big plate and my wife had steak; both were properly cooked and tasted great.

We were happy to get a table for dinner on a busy long weekend (it was Sunday and Monday was bank holiday). Service was kind & the food was good (with different options from what we usually see in Irish pubs). We got the chicken parmigiana (that was great) and the seafood linguine (much more fish than pasta, good surprise!) - price was correct. We recommend this pub for a nice dinner. And for the ones into Game of Thrones, you may enjoy their decoration!

We visited the Fullerton Arms with Friends and can honestly say this place is an absolute treasure on the North Coast. A great buzz about the place with so many people visiting Ballintoy with its Game of Thrones link.Guinness is really good at the bar.Staff are really friendly and can make great recommendations.Seafood chowder was lovely and big portion. But the classic mussels stole the show my wife loves her mussels and these are the best that she has ate.A must for anyone coming.Meals for kids are great and good value.Cappuccino was also outstanding.Highly recommended and will be coming back.It has rooms so will be staying.Try the wheaten bread life changing

We stoped here as part of the GOT tour. It was nice that we preordered our food on the bus and when we arrived it was ready in 10 mins of us arriving. My spouse had the pie and I had chicken strips very yummy. Nice to sit down and eat a meal during the tour. Service I thought was excellent as they quickly got everything out in 15 mins for 50 people. You pay up front tell them your table number and what you got. Super easy. What super cool about this place is the game of thrones door and the throne you can sit on. Super cool place for GOT fans.

Ballintoy is a small village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, and I didn’t expect it to have such a splendid pub. The Fullerton Arms is alongside the B15 coast road, between Bushmills and Ballycastle.

Le Fullerton Arms ne doit sa popularité qu'au flot continu des afficionados de Game of Throne sans doute plus éblouis par le spectacle de la Sixième Porte que par l'affligeante cuisine que décline l'établissement.

Spent one night here. While the bedroom was clean, the window looked out on a flat roof which had the extractor fan from the kitchen coming out over it and as a result we couldn't open the window with the noise of the fan and the smell of food. Bedroom was nicely decorated and looked very new and fresh, however when I took a shower, the water just kept filling up as the plug was blocked. The toilet roll holder was also broke off the wall and sitting on top of the toilet cistern. We stayed in 4 star accommodation the night before which included the breakfast and was almost as cheap. Ok for a one night stop over.

My wife and I, with my two brothers and their wives, had an evening meal at this local Ballintoy restaurant while staying in the area. Our meals were varied with differing reviews: my wife and I had the fish and chips-the fish batter was wet and the fish itself was tasteless: my brothers had the steak and Guinness pie, and both noted a noticeable lack of meat. The other meals were o.k., rump steak and the curried chicken. Service was excellent, and the servers were friendly and very pleasant. Drinks were very good, which compensated somewhat for our disappointing meals.

Stopped here as part of the GoT tour, pre-ordering the pie before. Shepherd in like cattle to the back, immediately served your lukewarm food as you wait 10mins for your drink. A smile wouldn’t go amiss from the staff either.

Our tour to the Giant's Causeway included a stop here for a quick lunch in Ballintoy. They had a set menu for lunch that was distributed on the bus for us to select ahead of time, therefore; when we arrived at the Fullerton Arms Restaurant, our lunch orders were delivered within 5-7 minutes after we were seated!

We had delicious fish and chips here. although our dog was not with us the kids were delighted with the dog at the next table. Teenager was still hungry having finished his meal although that may have been a poor menu choose as he got one of the specials and has maybe half the portion of chips as the rest of us. We were stuffed after ours

Tutti i camerieri, ma soprattutto Micael, sono molto gentili e attenti. Il cibo, come già detto nel titolo, è ottimo, sia quello tipico irlandese, sia quello italianeggiante.

Good place for a takeout meal. The chips were great and the Philly steak was pretty darn good - greasy and flavorful, close to how Penn Station makes it. The fish was fresh but the batter fell apart a little too easily. I highly recommend getting the garlic sauce with fish and chips on top of the usual salt and vinegar. The mushy peas were alright. But definitely get their Philly steak!

Was conveniently placed, as we were going to Giants Causeway directly after. Food was great. Service personnel seemed a bit upset or perplexed they had customers coming through the door. The building was really cool, I believe and old schoolhouse and had multileveled floors, was really beautiful.
