My recent experience at The Nook left much to be desired, particularly concerning their ordering process. Despite being in a hurry due to time constraints from a bus tour, the food ordering system was inefficient and frustrating. With a young staff in place, customers are required to order at the bar and remember their table number for food delivery. This setup proved to be a significant hindrance, especially for those under time pressure. The Nook should seriously reconsider their approach to serving customers. They need to decide whether they want to operate as a fast-food establishment or provide full table service. Our tour group ended up losing a valuable hour from our itinerary due to the delays caused by this flawed ordering system. If The Nook wishes to cater to bus tours and similar groups, they must adapt their mechanisms to ensure efficient service. My recommendation for future visitors is to enter the restaurant, secure a table, and then have someone wait in line to place the order. Until they address these issues, I would advise against recommending The Nook to bus tour operators or anyone with time-sensitive schedules.

11/04/24-Honestly the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life, 0 stars one staff member on her phone and the other one I couldn’t understand what she was saying mumbling and muttering under her breath, eventually got ordered after standing at the bar, glass of coke came with lipstick on the glass, food was ok but for the price you are paying you would expect more food on the plate, ordered a steak pie, steak sandwhich, 2 kids meals, also asked to tip before we received our food. Glad I said no as not one member of staff came near us to ask if everything was ok just food served and that was it. £12.50 for a kids meal is a disgrace! But with limited options around the area, I guess the owner is happy ripping tourist off.

While visiting the causeway we stopped in The Nook for a quick drink and a nibble before heading around the hill walk and down to the columns. It was a nice, quaint little place. Food did the job and the coffee was nice enough. A tad on the pricey side, but comfortable enough to make a nice enough rest break.

The pub was quiet as it was just before Christmas and we got a place to sit right away. Food came quickly but was average in taste. The meat was overcooked and the chips were greasy. We also had the soup which was tasty but with a small piece of wheaten bread so was expensive. The kids meal had the biggest plate of chips and seemed to be enjoyed. Definitely feel that it was expensive for what we received. Interestingly they asked us how was the meal and we said average and they just took our plates.

Pleasant entrance to the establishment with a warm fire going. The bar is very large and you would expect to be able to buy a drink. Nah, you have to queue with everyone else to place your order with one person on a till in the far corner! We both had the Irish stew with soda bread. I can honestly say it was a good size portion and there was plenty of meat for the veg/potato and was very tasty and well seasoned, even had to pull out a bay leaf...... The soda bread was defrosted recently as the middle was very cold. Definitely not fresh baked. The other food being delivered looked plentiful and well presented. NB Yes its pricey, yes the staff are miserable and don't know what customer service is about. Lets be honest, its at a very busy site (Giants Causeway) so its a cash cow for the owners who wouldn't care about service (even if they knew what it was). If you want service and value for money, go elsewhere.

We called in here on Monday, the place was so busy, came in the door staff informed us to get a table, what specials where on that day, they where on a blackboard above a lovely fireplace, they then told us when we where ready to order to join the queue, we then placed our order at the bar, we had someone with us with a dairy allergy, the staff explained what we could have on the menu, I asked if the Irish stew had and dairy in it, the girl was unsure so asked the chef, which was great peace of mind, we had a great meal although expensive, and no alternative milk, but what stood out the most was the service and how well the staff deal with the amount of customers, reading some of the reviews, my exceptions where not high at all, but the service the staff provided was great, the women and man behind the bar, had a great knowledge of the local whiskeys informing us of which one they would recommend, and the different barrels they are aged in, it was great as we missed the distillery on our short visit to bushmills.

Was there either a tour bus day trip. Placed an order for their famous Irish stew and the Steak and Guinness pie. After about 30 minutes of waiting a staff member came and said they ran out of stew and what did we want to replace it with. It had already been a long while so my sister asked for the fish and chips. After another 30 minutes I went to inquire about the order b/c it had been an hour and we wanted to take the long walk down to the cliffs. The lady that appeared to be a manger was coming out with a plate she said it was ours. It wasn't what I thought fish and chips was supposed to be. I asked about table 3 and said it been an hour since we ordered. She was rude and something about yeah fish and chips, I looked at it funny and she said "or I can refund your money". Of course we were hungry and I told her we did need to eat. She put the plate down and returned with another "fish and chips", mind you I ordered the Steak and Guinness pie. At that point I handed her my card and asked for a refund. She brought me cash back. We could not do the long walk down and only went close enough to get good "zoomed in" pics so we didn't miss our bus. Very frustrating! Very poor management, customer service, and the fish that was served was not very good.

Service was dreadful staff behind the bar more interested in showing each other videos on their mobile phones while we stood bewildered on how to put in our order for food and drinks. When we finally got our order in the food came out quite quickly though very average food for the price we were charged. During the course of our visit the waiting staff behind the bar where so loud and more interested in playing with their phones and chatting (or should I say shouting to each other) than showing any interest in other customers. I can only imagine there was no manager or owner about on Sunday as I've never seen a restaurant more poorly run. Don't waste your time or money going in here. Visited here after walking down to the giants causeway on a very rainy & windy day; pleasant environment & welcoming staff & the most delicious bowl of seafood chowder, that hit the spot just right given the weather. Very efficient and friendly services

Food was amazing but slightly over priced! Service at the bar took ages but food came out really fast once ordered! Would definitely visit again!

We enjoyed a simple sandwich lunch. Asked for it to takeaway and very obliging. Excellent and good value for money

The apple crumble and custard was delicious. The apples used are from the owner‘s garden. Absolutely amazing!

The food is nice, however it does not warrant the prices charged, with a charge of 11.80 (UK Pounds) for a glass of Tonic & Soda. The staff where slow, unfriendly and lacking any idea of how to interact with customers. No warm welcome at...
