We didn't have many options at Giant's causeway, and the pub was super busy. However every waitress was kind and provided quick service for customers. They had a few small mistakes but it wasn't a big deal!

We visited on a blustery day and stopped in to warm up with coffee after seeing the Giant's Causeway. This is where I discovered Sticky Toffee Pudding for the first time in my life. I was in love. I have planned another trip to Giant's Causeway, just to bring my family in to The Nook for this dessert. I can't wait for them to experience it too. See you in March 2025!!

After taking a tour of Northern Ireland, our afternoon stop was at Giants Causeway. We went to the Nook for some lunch. Looks rather cute from the outside. As vegans, we were told this was the only restaurant of two with any vegan options. All they had were chips, as their soup of the day was made with butter. The chips we decent at best, rather bland and a bit soggy. The espresso they served tasted burnt and bitter. The tables were dirty and full of dishes from previous customers. We spent about 45 minutes in there, and no one came to clear any of the tables near us. So guests were left to deal with the mess themselves. For two orders of fries and an espresso, we paid about 20 pounds, way overpriced. If you have an option to dine elsewhere, do so.

Great place for hot food, a pint of Guinness and\or an Irish coffee. *Here's a TIP. Have someone grab a table, someone else get menus at the bar. Then get your table number from the little brass tag on your table before going back to the bar to place your order. Enjoy!

Idk why this place only has a 4.1 stars but we came for lunch and it was completely empty. The smell coming out of the restaurant was what drew us to enter. The food came very quickly and they had actual food compared to the Giant’s Causeway cafe which just has barely any options and costs a lot more. The Guinness and steak pie is wonderful and the kids chicken nuggets were great too. Can’t recommend it more.

They are serving food non-stop and if there is room available, the service is pretty fast. We had the soup of the day and a chicken sandwich and the order came in a span of maximum 10 min. I would say the quality was okay and the price is quite okay for being a pub in a touristic place. The location is awesome and the decoration of the place is perfectly tuned with the surroundings of the pub.

We popped into The Nook after visiting the Giant’s Causeway, for a few drinks. The drinks were great and the service was fantastic. We didn’t have anything to eat but the food we saw being delivered to other tables, looked great. The attitude and service delivery we experienced and witnessed was polite, friendly and genuine. Three staff members that really stood out, were a young waiter and young waitress delivering meals to the tables and the fabulous young blond lady behind the bar. Genuine friendly and kind service, is what we can truly attest to on our visit.

Isn't it shocking when customer service appears not to exist? We line up and others who have just walked in get served before us! Then there was 2 serving behind the bar one customer! Then another person walks in and gets served before us! I mentioned this and the barmaid started arguing with me! Really? This is disgraceful and rude! It appears that staff training is in order!

We had a disappointing experience compared to our last visit several years ago. Very slow service at the bar, at which staff insisted customers queue up for single file rather than serve people along the full length of the bar as normal. This meant that there was a great snaking queue back to the door making moving around very difficult, especially for my friend with mobility issues. We received a cold response asking for spoons for our soup, initially pointing us to the empty cutlery basket before some hassled staff member begrudgingly fetched us soon. Food itself was fine, but nothing special. Given the price paid (£15.50 for soup and a sandwich, £18-£20 for a main) we'd hoped for a slightly more pleasant experience.

I'm from Northern Ireland and love stopping by small pubs for lunch. I'd been here a few years ago and the place was warm, inviting and very cozy. I'd went back to discover that it was just a cattle market for tourists. Cheapest, low quality food that you could find at a fairly high price. I saw so many American tourists pay though the nose for something that you'd get for £10 at a chip van. The staff are still very good and attentive but the atmosphere is gone. Good if you're desperate for the toilet and a quick drink, otherwise... I'd avoid it.

It was a cold and very rainy day. I had hoped to eat something to warm my bones before going to the causeway. We went into the very busy pub and eventually found a place to sit. I had the steak and Guinness pie which was mostly fluffy pastry and barely any stew. I think the place is so over run with tourists it just seems to be very crowded. For what we got it was expensive. My husband did enjoy his lamb stew though

Very very very expensive. We had a stew which was okayish. But the fishcake tasted like nothing, barely edible even with extra salt. The ciabatta with chicken was completely without sauce and totally dried out, so I had to order ketchup to go with it - not at all worth the price. This store simply seems to thrive on the fact that tourists have no real alternative and can therefore be charged a lot of money. If you come by on a tour, it's better to take something to eat from home.

Such a disappointing experience. No alternative milks, no vegan options. My open prawn sandwich was thrown onto a slice of bread on a salad consisting of the very cheapest ingredients which to be honest was mainly onions. If that wasn't bad enough, the women's toilets contained an open bin for sanitary towels. I'm shocked by the disrespect shown for women's feminine hygiene. Surely for the prices this establishment charges women should be offered something a little more than a bin! £60 for a sandwich, a soup and two sides - you really need to raise your game. My wife and I walked to the Nook today looking forward to sitting outside for a drink in the sunshine. But the outside area was so dirty we could not stay. One table had the remains of a previous meal with napkins and salad leaves blowing around the place . Even worse there was a large puddle of recent vomit on the ground beneath one of the dining tables. So we went to the nearby Causeway hotel for a pleasant drink. Around an hour later we returned and passed by the Nook again. The same meal remains were still on the table. More litter had gathered around and the puddle of vomit was still there but unfortunately some people had walked through it and spread it around. It is so sad that Ireland’s premier visitor attraction and world heritage site, the Giant’s Causeway, has this disgraceful hole right beside it. Our foreign visitors are not impressed.

"My recent experience at The Nook left much to be desired, particularly concerning their ordering process. Despite being in a hurry due to time constraints from a bus tour, the food ordering system was inefficient and frustrating. With a young staff in place, customers are required to order at the bar and remember their table number for food delivery. This setup proved to be a significant hindrance, especially for those under time pressure. The Nook should seriously reconsider their approach to serving customers. They need to decide whether they want to operate as a fast-food establishment or provide full table service. Our tour group ended up losing a valuable hour from our itinerary due to the delays caused by this flawed ordering system. If The Nook wishes to cater to bus tours and similar groups, they must adapt their mechanisms to ensure efficient service. My recommendation for future visitors is to enter the restaurant, secure a table, and then have someone wait in line to place the order. Until they address these issues, I would advise against recommending The Nook to bus tour operators or anyone with time-sensitive schedules

Glad I said no as not one member of staff came near us to ask if everything was ok just food served and that was it. £12.50 for a kids meal is a disgrace! The side salad was not fresh and the leaves were limp and wilted. The crisps on the side were also stale. Others meals were also poor.

Had two chicken sandwiches which were very good. Order of fries was huge and very good. Still no ketchup in bottle anywhere in Ireland so if you’re a ketchup lover be prepared to open small packets. Had a hot Baileys and chocolate cake with ice cream that was also delicious.

Not only is this place adorable and in a beautiful location, but the food and service were amazing as well! Some of the best food I've had all week in Ireland and you will not leave hungry. Sure, they are busy being right off the Causeway but are completely worth the wait. We were on a bus tour and had plenty of time to eat here and walk both blue and red route.

Pleasant entrance to the establishment with a warm fire going. The bar is very large and you would expect to be able to buy a drink. Nah, you have to queue with everyone else to place your order with one person on a till in the far corner! We both had the Irish stew with soda bread. I can honestly say it was a good size portion and there was plenty of meat for the veg/potato and was very tasty and well seasoned, even had to pull out a bay leaf...... The soda bread was defrosted recently as the middle was very cold. Definitely not fresh baked. The other food being delivered looked plentiful and well presented. NB Yes its pricey, yes the staff are miserable and don't know what customer service is about. Lets be honest, its at a very busy site (Giants Causeway) so its a cash cow for the owners who wouldn't care about service (even if they knew what it was). If you want service and value for money, go elsewhere.

This is a great chippy! We arrived on the ferry in the evening into Belfast and went straight to Flash in Bushmills before heading to our hotel in Portrush! Delicious, non-greasy chips and great curry sauce. I usually have chips cheese & gravy but the portion is enormous so went for a small option before bed!! Spotlessly clean and friendly, welcoming staff. See you next time we're over!

Lovely chicken tenders and curry sauce. Chips better than the one in the harbour.
