Made to feel welcome from the moment of our arrival, nothing being too much trouble including offering extra gluten free choices for our daughter (12 years) . Hearty well priced food, with offers available. Premises were fresh, clean & welcoming. We used the Bennet Arms as a pub stop over with our camper van. No electrical hook up, which was made clear before arrival but toilets made available 24hours and all round good experience. Will definitely return.

A lovely gem of a small hotel 3 miles from Oswestry, set in beautiful countryside. Friendly and attentive service, alongside a varied and interesting daily menu with all dishes impeccably presented and prepared to a very high standard. Our rooms were modern and contemporary in style, tastefully decorated with a super shower and jacuzzi bath. Highly recommend especially for walkers with endless opportunities for walking along with lots of places of interest if you want a more sedate time. Highly recommended and we look forward to a repeat visit later in the year.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to Cupcakes2Love for their amazing support at our event today at Keepmoat Homes for National Apprentice Week. Their service was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The cupcakes were not only delicious but also beautifully designed to perfectly match the theme of our event. The attention to detail was spot on, and it was clear they put a lot of thought and care into every aspect. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional service and quality. Thank you again for making our event even sweeter!

Popped into Barbetta’s today with a group of four. We were given menus while we waited, then shown to a table once one became available. We ordered four hot drinks and were quietly enjoying them when, out of the blue, a “Reserved” sign was plonked on our table. A member of staff then came over and said, “I’m sorry, this table is reserved so I’m going to get the bill now and I’ll have to ask you to pay.” We were all a bit taken aback — not only were some of us still finishing our drinks, but the way it was said felt incredibly abrupt and quite rude. When I quietly said to my friend that I thought the service had been a bit off, the server overheard and challenged me, asking “Did you think I was rude then?” in a very defensive and confrontational way. She then informed us — only at that point — that they were only serving food today, and implied we shouldn’t have been seated for drinks. At no time were we told this when we arrived or ordered. Had that been made clear, we would have had no issue going elsewhere. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and like an inconvenience. It’s a shame, really. What could have been a pleasant visit turned into a very uncomfortable experience. Sadly, we won’t be returning — not because of the policy, but because of the way we were spoken to and treated. A bit of basic communication and courtesy would’ve gone a long way.

Awful experience in here yesterday. With in 10 seconds of trying to order a drink I was made to feel about 2" tall. I asked the barman if he had any gluten free beers on draft and he bluntly said no. No alternatives offered or anything, he then abruply pointed me to the half empty fridge where he said there might be a gluten free beer in. I asked if he knew what beers are gluten free in the fridge to which he replied "I don't know you will have to look through them all." He then proceeded to try and look over me to the person behind to try and serve them. The level of service was diabolical and as a venue offering food and drinks it is expected that your staff know what they are selling and what allergens are in the products you are selling. I would not trust this venue again and would not recommend anyone with an allergy goes here. It is certainly not a coeliac friendly venue and they don't care. After having a bottle of cider we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Said barman was coming in from the outside and not even a thank you have a good day or anything, it was clear we where leaving as all four of us walked towards the exit. The other barman behind the bar equally didn't even say thanks or anything. Having worked in bars and restaurants myself the level of service was shocking. I know that you will probably come back and say oh sorry about this we had been busy, but in all honesty it wasn't that busy and there is no excuse for letting service slip to such a shoddy standard especially when it comes to things like allergens. You are selling products to people you should know your product and actively want to sell it, not think "oh this person has an allergen we don't want them here" or "oh they are an inconvenience I'll give them bad service" at a time where budgets are squeezed and business is struggling you would think every customer counts... Not here. Upon leaving we went to the beer emporium where the staff where more than happy to go and get the gluten free options out of the fridge and talk me through them. This is how it should be done. Again I do not recommend this place if you have allergies and I won't be returning. It is one of the most unfriendly places to visit with an allergy I have ever been to.
