Excellent sandwich selection, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere

I rarely write reviews as they are subjective - an individual's feeling from their own frame of reference. Everyone experiences moments in different ways. However, on this occasion I can't keep quiet and I'm right! Annette and Paul have created an absolutely wonderful place to eat, stay and relax. Phenomenal food, a lovely room and incredible service by everyone we met, all set in the peaceful village of Whitsbury. A special stay and one that will stay in the memory for a very long time. What a marvellous little find. Called out of season but still had to go on a wait list for a table. Obviously very popular. They rang not too long after and we enjoyed the afternoon tea. Would recommend to anyone looking for lunch in the area

Light lunch here, all very good

They have an excellent menu with both vegetarian amd vegan options. The box breakfast wrap was delicious! I haven't stopped thinking about it since I ate it. Highly recommend

Ventured down here to the beer garden after work with a few colleagues for a ‘couple of drinks’ we got there on a Friday around 3.30pm and those drinks turned into evening meal and drinking late into the evening. Lovely atmosphere, great service and a very busy little pub. A good choice of drinks and plentiful menu of beautifully cooked food from pub snack plates to amazing pies! Lovely place and will be back!

We went for Trust the Chef last night and it was so good. We all enjoyed every course- the brisket was delicious, the smoked butter extraordinarily good and the chocolate pudding divine. The chef is amazing. And the waitress was fabulous! Thankyou.

Lovely little restaurant which is definitely worth a visit. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. We couldn't fault a thing from the oysters to small plates there was perfect portions and exciting tastes . Definitely recommend 👌

Excellent meal in an amazing setting, staff were friendly, and the food exquisite. It was great to meet the chefs, and the front of house staff were happy to chat and answer any questions you might have.

Once again, the best burger there is. I've had them in stacks of places but this is the best you can get. It's so delicious. Their other dishes are great but this is sooo good.

Well this is the best restaurant we have been to this year, the only place we could compare it with is the Lobster Grill in Fort Lauderdale Florida , everything was perfect , great food , wonderful staff and a greeting from the owner when we arrived , the lobster was cooked to perfection , A great wine list with some new world wines and French favourites our group of four had a great time .

We live a long way from The Greyhound but have visited several times over the last few years. It feels like such a loved place, by the owners and the customers. And so it should be. A warm welcome awaits with a beautiful, comfortable, and inviting interior which is also very dog friendly. And of course, exceptional food. We had the incredible Korean chicken to start, enormous portions, fantastic kick and so nice that it's all such fresh ingredients and home made. Mains of lamb and a burger put other places we've eaten recently to shame. And the service is delightful. You feel like a welcome old friend but the service is professional and unobtrusive. The Greyhound is a little diamond. Nothing we could fault at all and so wish we had something similar nearby. Lovely people, place and perfect food. A rare find.

Amazing find .staff and food wow .such service

Just had a lovely two day business trip staying at this lovely venue. The room was beautiful with all mod cons and cosey attire. All staff were very kind, attentive and only too pleased to help. The Car park is a little tight to get to if your driving a larger car but I managed to get through ok. Other facilities I have stayed in Topsham do not have car parks so this was a bonus. I shall be back.
