An excellent Christmas lunch with friends - I'd heard good reports about the cafe at Ripleys Garden Centre and it didn't let us down. Delicious food, perfect portions, well priced and friendly, efficient staff. Happy to recommend and will certainly return.

This is a fantastic place to eat from spectacular all day breakfast, to great specials and great cakes. Today I had the lamb pie special with chips and veg. It is the best pie I’ve eaten since my Mum’s and she was a brilliant cook. Thank you.

My friend decided to treat me to a coffee and a cake or scone for my belated birthday present. We both chose a cheese scone each and both had a decaf Americano the scones were the best I have ever eaten they were full of cheese and delicious. I am fussy with coffee so I was pleasantly surprised that the coffee was excellent all in all I loved the place the staff were friendly and the service was great. I would recommend.

Simply the best, this place was recommended to us , so we went for it. What a winner, the service was 1st class. & the food was even better, we had 'ham egg & chips' the best ever, lovely thick cut ham, the eggs were soft yet runny &the chips were just right, came out piping hot, followed by 'bread & butter pudding & cream, once again just, brilliant , will definitely go again, from start to finish, brilliant, thanks

Forty six of our club members went for lunch. and all praised up the efficiency of staff and the food. All the food was served to each table individually piping hot at the same time so we could eat together. For the desserts there was a good choice they all sounded very good. After the lunch everyone was praising up the food .We ended up givng them a round of applause. Well done to Andrew and his staff.

As a local chap I Quite often pop into the garden restaurant with mum and my lad and sometimes on my own . I can’t recommend this place and the wonderful staff highly enough . Fantastic food oh my god the baileys cheesecake !!!!! And also a massive draw for me is the wonderful, really friendly and sometimes the bit cheeky staff ….. you know who you are !!😂…. Love the atmosphere and after you’ve eaten make sure you have a browse around the garden centre. A good quality selection of plants , gifts , cards and tools etc plus also super friendly and helpful staff . Great job guys . Steve H xx

We (a friend and I) decided on the spur of moment to visit the Garden Restaurant, having been there earlier this year. What we hadn’t envisaged was that, due to them doing a special Christmas menu from end November to 23rd December, booking was required to be seated within the warm restaurant. We were only able to get a table in the area without hearing that is usually reserved for dogs - which is still pleasant, but chilly. We had one of their ‘all day breakfasts’ same as on previous visit. The food was piping hot and delicious. 2 breakfasts + 2 hot drinks £21. Booking is a MUST in December. A great place to eat, set within a lovely garden centre.

Called in for a coffee in the very late afternoon. The coffee was freshly made. It tasted good and was served by friendly staff. My wife was even able to have a Gluten Free cake. There was a good choice of meals on the menu, which were still being served at this late afternoon hour. They looked very good. There is plenty of seating and even a dog-friendly zone. This was our first visit but it won't be our last.

Called in here today after a number of years 'passing by'. Will be calling in again as much as we can. Nice Garden centre, spotless restaurant, you could eat your food of the floor, 100% clean loos, and great friendly staff. Reasonable prices too.

My first visit and certainly not my last! This small cafe inside Ripleys Garden Centre was spot on. Offering plenty of local produce and an excellent lunch menu. Friendly, welcoming & helpful staff. Sandwiches were tasty & fresh. Coffee was made very well. My only regret is I didn’t have room for cake!

Really nice, cozy and friendly pub. Love the creativity with the music theme throughout, very friendly staff, great atmosphere and food is excellent value for money (would give a 6 star if I could). They have open mic on Mondays, bands over the weekends and the pub is shaped in such a way that you can choose to sit right by the band or a bit quieter area although the music was just right and not over powering. Definitely a place I will go back to and also saw great reviews on othe social media platforms. Excellent pub.

Really friendly staff. Received a great welcome and the Sunday roast was amazing! Possibly one of the best in Ashford. Good selection of beers and ciders on tap. Reasonable prices. Will definitely be visiting again

I’ve been dining here for years now and I’m sad to say it’s lost its spark somewhat. At £100 per person I expect a bit more. Maybe it’s comparing to other restaurants like the Fordwich Arms and Hide and Fox, but The West House is now a couple of leagues below these I’m afraid. Most courses were fairly average and lacked flavour. The squid a bit rubbery, the pasta bland and the chicken dry. Red mullet quite nice. Best dish was without doubt the desert which was some kind of blood orange trifle with rhubarb compote which was delicious I have to say. Service was very good as always and timing great. Always very welcoming and polite, but sad to say the food was not what it used to be, maybe it’s due to a set menu nowadays to keep restaurant bills down. A real shame.

Lovely ambience and service. Food was very good and the cosy sitting rooms are ideal to sit back and enjoy an aperitif or coffee/tea afterwards to extend your visit. Plenty of parking and a lovely choice for an upmarket dining experience in Ashford. Winter is lovely with rich furnishings in the lounge and fires burning.
