The best restaurants serving British food in Scalby, Hackness and Staintondale Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Fab location and prices seemed reasonable. Had a coffee that was cold and a piece of flapjack that was awful. It was almost like it wasn't cooked. Took one mouthfull and left the rest which was a shame as we'd walked a few miles to get there. Shame our experience wasn't as good as everyone else's.

Desayuno recién hecho a la orden. La comida siempre es de primera clase, especialmente el cordero se acaba de derretir en la boca, maravillosa comida, buen personal, ¿qué más puede alguien querer?

Wow!!! Just loved this place, gorgeous breakfast so very nice. Cakes looked amazing. Gorgeous quality food, staff were so lovely and dogs allowed too. We shall return!!!! Delicious in every way ♡

Complete waste of time, rode over from Dalby forest for a spot of lunch to find the cafe covered in scaffolding and locked up. Is updating your website, google and TripAdvisor so hard? Shame we can’t comment on the food or service. Very disappointed in the lack of customer communication

Came for a drink after a muddy walk from our Airbnb, wandered straight into the pub and Sara ( sorry if misspelt) was so lovely and friendly, we ended up staying for hours! All staff were lovely including landlady and a good nice local pub!

Here for lunch for sandwiches. A minor thing perhaps but they were not good, in fact, poor. Just expect more from a once fine hotel with a beautiful setting. needs to get their house in order.

What a fabulous place this is! Perfect wedding venue. Parking great and from the moment we walked in it felt relaxed. All the staff are so lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble. Sammie the bar manager is a legend. Lorraine the breakfast lady is a hoot! The rooms are very spacious and were more than adequate for a two night stay. The place runs like clockwork but keeps an air of tranquility. The grounds are stunning and over the lake was the open air lodge where the ceremony takes place, decorated with lights. All in all a perfect place…. Thank you

Decent food, reasonably priced. Pleasant and friendly staff.Nice vegetarian options. My husband and I opted for the carvery. Our son had a burger. Would have visited again same week but we opted for a dog friendly establishment instead.

Lovely friendly staff and quality meals. Had gammon egg and chips and the gammon was lovely and tender. Chips were perfect

Visited here as a group of 4 today and the food was appalling. Cold chips, burned cheesy chips (yes that takes some achieving). We have had some poor food in our travels but this pretty much wins sadly. You can’t ruin a pizza can you?? Somehow it was managed here. Lots of left over food and one ‘duck’ pizza left untouched by a food lover 😞. Even the cucumber on the side salad had seen better days. Sadly we won’t return which is a shame as caravan owners that are very local to this pub.
