Absolutely love coming here food is always good the only thing that they lack in is cutely suitable for children and more allergie free options as we came with our child who is lactose intolerant she couldn't have the Yorkshire pudding or half of the veg on offer as it all had milk or butter in but they did do us some separate mash potato without milk or butter which we appreciated so much

Came here for food with family the food was absoultly amazing the only thing was one of the staff that was behind the bar very loud and smashing her till key off the screen we could hear it from the other side of the pub other staff very chatty and smiliy which is nice to see

Visited the carvery. Cannot fault the food there one of the best places to eat in the area. Plenty of choice and friendly staff. We were able to take the dog as we sat outside on a lovely evening. Well priced. We will certainly return.

Me and some friends came for tea before the quiz night, the food was lovely, I had the Tikka missals and could not fault it, and all staff were really friendly will definitely be back.

The staff are brilliant and the beer is great, but the outside seating area is run down and looks shabby . If you have a dog then you have no choice but to sit outside which is fine, but it would be nice to be outside in a tidy unnegletted area, it's needs some attention . Unfortunately a few new umbrellas don't change a place, staff or grounds persons, take a look around outside and see what I mean , it really let's the place down.

Me and my partner came here Tuesday 2/07/24. I have carvery and must say it was the best ever. Partner had pizza also the best every in a long time. Amazing. Thank you to all the staff.

Very good, especially in terms of value for money. 2 of us had half price pizza and one had carvery and we spent £27, while still enjoying a decent, filling meal. The place is clean and the food is good and straightforward. The staff are great and are very helpful. Special mention Leona, Katie and Michelle, who were all really helpful

Just awful,our 8 year old kids carvery was frozen veg,and she even asked 'Why is the carrot green inside' the gammon was 'chopped' off the joint and full of fat,she couldn't eat any of it,The pizza me and my daughter shared was barely cooked with slimy red onion on it and looked like it had been warmed up,also the chilli chips we got were awful,just had some kind of sauce squeezed on them n bunged in microwave with a couple of jalapeños laid on top! My daughter also asked for a spare bowl as our 2 year old decided she wanted some of her sisters dessert,A spare bowl was brought very begrudgingly after a lot of umming and ahhing.Staff were not 'user friendly' at all and quite rude at times.Will be avoiding st all visits.

Love this place, me and husband live in hull we have got 2 stone houses close to where we live but nothing beats scalby manor for the food, hospitality and overall atmosphere thanks guys keep up the great work

The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The food was cooked well and served hot. The roast potatoes are the best we have had at a carvery. We will be returning next time we visit Scarborough.

Avoid at all costs if you have children, I booked a table here this evening to have a meal with family to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday, up on arrival the staff were incredibly rude and there was no welcome, they literally just asked a name and pointed to our table and left us to it, our plates were never cleared and we waited long periods of time for our puddings and when they arrived our other plates were still never cleared, whenever two of my children went over to the toy claw machine to try and win a toy, members of staff would give them dirty looks and make comments under their breath about them not being sat at the table, why on earth would you have a toy machine there if you have an issue with children using it? I began to feel very uncomfortable so decided to get ready to leave, as we were grabbing our stuff to leave a member of staff made a comment under her breathe about us not clearing up our plates, why on earth would we do that? You didn't before we had puddings yet that is your literal job? Then our children began running around near the bar and front door as we were leaving and another member of staff made a comment about us being irresponsible parents and not having our children under control? We were on our way out?! We then brought this up to the manager, there was no remorse or apology, he simply didn't care. We will never be back here, I will be taking this further, this was supposed l be a lovely evening with my family for my daughters birthday but instead we left feeling incredibly uncomfortable just for having our children there.

Do not recommend at all! Staff are SO rude! Making comments under their breath about not only me/my family but other customers! They are NOT family friendly at all! Did nothing but roll there eyes and make snotty comments about our children. Tables not cleared after the main before deserts everything was clearly too much trouble for them and they wernt exactly busy which is not surprising as the food was terrible! When we were leaving we raised the issues with the manger who again didn’t care less! Didn’t care about how his member of staff made us feel never once apologised and then again he and this member of staff made comments about us under there breath!! Disgusting and what’s more upsetting is we used to love this place but it’s gone so down hill

Sunday lunch we had a great meal staff nice carver very generous will visit again when staying in Scarborough again value for money tasty food thanks to all.

Went here for a friend's birthday my partner Lesley and I both had a large carvery. Plates were cold as were Yorkshire puddings, mash only made warm by gravy as were the green beans. It is usually a lot better service than this, felt let down on this occasion.

4th visit whilst in Scarborough fantastic once again can't fault the friendlyness of the staff nothing to much bother at Filey again on 16th March for a week will definitely visit

We came for lunch yesterday 21 01 24. All 20 of us for our annual family get together. The staff OUTSTANDING. (Thank you) The food OUTSTANDING (Thank you) you made our get together a special day. Thank you, this was our 3rd consecutive year to have our get together at scalby. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ oh yes and get prepared because we will be back in January 2025, well the hubby and I will be back before then, we travelled from Beverley, Driffield and Doncaster .thanks again guys for your hospitality. Xx

Popped in for the £5 carvery menu not really knowing what to expect but we were all very pleasantly surprised. The food was really tasty and the staff friendly and welcoming. We couldn't fault anything. Unfortunately, the carvery left no room for puddings. Definitely worth a visit.

Treated the family to a 3 course Boxing Day special, i am sorry to say on this occasion it was very disappointing, the burgers were tasteless the bread buns were burnt the chicken was overcooked and hard , the custard on the deserts was I would say at room temperature and certainly not piping hot as the menu stated , I would recommend if anyone was going to visit this pub to stick to the carvery or the pizzas as we have never had a problem with these ,

Asked for two coffees and an orange juice which seemed way too much Trouble for the person serving he plonked two empty mugs on counter and only when i had paid and actually asked did he say you help yourself it's up the other end and to the left ,when I got there no coffee available so had to have Tea ,shocking customer service will not use again .

Third visit here over the years took my friend whilst on holiday in Filey who loves a carvery as always excellent service can't fault it was different to have bubble and squeek definitely visit again when in Scarborough for the new year

Absolutely bloody fantastic food, service and staff! Six of us went for the carvery, can't, wait to go back again v soon!

We visited today at 6pm, after being caught in traffic, we had to amend our booking by 30 minutes which the guy on the phone happily did for us. On arrival the gent at the door was very kind and welcoming as were the Bar staff, as one of our children has Autism we asked for a quieter section of the Restaurant and we were quickly accommodated with no fuss. Our meals were all from the Carvery and were of a high quality - the Beef was excellent! I highly recommend this place based on the fantastic food and friendly service we received today.

Friendly, welcoming & serving a good pint.The Manor is really well run by an enthusiastic & efficient team.Any meal of the day catered for with uncomicated pub grub & their own pizza takeaway.We went for the all you can eat breakfast. At a fiver you can't beat the value.Definitely a find if you're staying at the nearby camp site.

We visited on a Sunday and enjoyed the carvery. Lots of choice regarding the portion size and extras if you choose to take them. I had the normal sized carvery which had plenty of meat and then a choice of veg and potatoes. Really tasty and the gravey was lovely. We booked in the following day too as the burgers and pizzas were bogof. The burgers are huge I had the chicken burger, two full chicken breasts. Service was good and atmosphere is family friendly. The only thing I would mention to improve the experience is more access to mayo and sauces as you needed to ask for these which came in a small individual pot. We would have liked more and would have been good if we could access them ourselves

Very accomodating and welcoming atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff and the food was beautifully cooked and delicious, best meal out I've had in a while. Overall excellent. Only recommendation I would make is the outside seating area could use a little TLC, few plants and a bit of colour or something. Will be back regardless though.

As a Stonehouse pizza restaurant we were a little disappointed by the lack of topping and the extra wide crust with nothing on its. The positive was the centre was tasty and the base thin We could order on the app, the staff were excellent.We would try it again.

Visited here on the evening of 04/08/2021 as a family of three. We had starters and a main, the carvery is to die for! The mashed potatoe and roasties are not the processed stuff but home made and it show's in the taste.The food and service were outstanding. I have food allergies and was informed by a man serving us to download an app called "glassonion" well blow me it had all the allergens listed for all the meals being served so I could order with confidence. How had I never been told about this app before?!? They truly went above and beyond for us.Huge huge thank you to the team there.Massive thank you for fantastic food!

Really good value. Visited as friends for a pre booked table of 6. All had carvery which was excellent. Service was very friendly - will def return. Suggest pre book at busy times as we saw quite a few people being turned away.

We popped here, unplanned but were welcomed with our dog outside no problems. We used the app and drinks and pizzas arrived very quick. Pizzas were perfect. I'd highly recommend and hope to go back

We often visit from the caravan site for a lunch. Today we opted for meat,meagerly portioned with salad,Well not salad,it was 4 slices of cucumber 4 slice of tomato and some chopped iceberg lettuce finished with a tablespoon of coleslaw. Not a spring onion,pepper or radish in sight. I can't imagine how many saalads they'll get out a few tomatoes, a cucumber and a bit of an iceberg lettuce. All this for £7.49, ripped off doesn't begin to explain it,we won't be back

Went here on a rainy Monday thinking it would be good value as had a two for one offer. The burger was okay but the pizza was the worst I have ever eaten. Yes it seemed home made but It was undercooked and so full of raw garlic as to be virtually inedible. Dripping with a sweet chilli sauce making it soggy and wet. As we left we saw someone else with a pizza that appeared the same, as in undercooked with raw onion and pepper, how ever with dots of burger meet rather than dots of processed chicken. Sadly I would not recommend it.

Decided to book a table here seeing as we were on the campsite next to it. What a big mistake it was. We were seated straight away and the waitress was pleasant. After looking at the menu and seeing the photos we ordered 4 buttermilk chicken burgers with extra chicken on 3 of them. (When they arrived they didn’t look anything like the photos on the menu) No way had the chicken seen buttermilk it was more like Kentucky fried spicy chicken you get from a frozen box from Aldi. The salad on it was none existent, cheese was hard to find and never tasted any, 1 small slice of tomato and a handful of chips. I could go on. We called for the manager who didn’t seem to care. Although the waitress apologised the manager didn’t and when we told him he wouldn’t get a good review he basically said fine do it. I would stay well clear of this place if you don’t want to be ripped off. Needless to say we’ll never be going back.

Obnoxious and rude waitress loudly complained to other staff across the restaurant about me asking them to check whether my meal contained any allergens. The menus were sticky and the tables dirty. The same waistress was never seen to sanitise her hands between drinking and snacking at the staff 'rest' station.

After not eating anything all day due to having booked a table here, to say we were extremely disappointed is an understatement. After looking at the menu I order a butter chicken burger with salad, hash brown, mature cheddar cheese and salsa sauce. The meal was not like the picture on the menu. The picture had onion rings and they were know where to be seen. It included home made chips!!! Frozen is a better discription. If you look at the photos I think it says it all. Never seen butter chicken in its life, more like frozen southern fried chicken. The Salsa sauce was a tea spoon on the bun. I think the salad speaks for itself!!!! The cheddar cheese was none existent. After eating the meal because we were so hungry , we complained to the staff about the meal and the manager never appeared. We complained again and the nice waitress went and got the manager. He was very flippant and didn’t seem to care. NEVER AGAIN!

Had lunch & a breakfast here no faults. Carvery was lovely breakfast was lovely. Staff very friendly and realy helpful. Very well organised covid safe.

This pub is next to a camp site but dies not allow dogs in the pub...nor does it have a decent covered area outside for dog owners. We booked online for food and hoped to watch an England game here however luckily we called in a couple of days before and they advised they do not check the booking notes until the day of arrival and they said we wouldn't be able to eat inside the pub. Silly system. Wont be going back

We arrived late and we’re glad that somewhere was service food, particularly fresh food from a carvery at 8.30pm.The carvery itself was ok, not great but not terrible either. Probably Toby Carvery standard if we’re being generous.The table staff were very nice and friendly, as was the manager on entry,The carvery staff were rude, abrupt and snappy - “just give me your order and move on” type of attitude. Not interested in answering any questions about the food or options available.

Went for dinner this evening, lovely pub staff were very friendly and helpful food was great, would deffo recommend, and will be back again soon

We stayed at the Scarborough Camping and Caravan Site for 9 nights so made use of this restaurant 3 times. There was a gate from the site directly into the pub car park. Really friendly staff. Plenty of choice on the menu with a carvery every day, the food was fresh, hot and tasty, we couldn’t fault it. You would not class it as a gastronomic pub but like wise it was no greasy spoon. It was clean, tidy and friendly with tasty food. Would definitely recommend if you are staying at the site or in Scarborough

We went for an evening meal here and found the place clean and the service great. I had a classic pizza and my partner had a burger with bacon and cheese which we both enjoyed and the portions were bigger than we expected. Good value for money and we'll go again next time we are in the area.

Decided to go for breakfast on a Monday (quiet day and kids at school). Tried to book online at 10am. First available was 1045. Turned up and there were 4 tables occupied. The place was empty. Was told that the system only allows so many to book. Advised just to turn up next time, doesn't that defeat the booking system idea? Agree with another reviewer about track and trace. Staff at door was very blunt, borderline rude. I have read the law. Think they need to do the same. Was never offered alternative to qr code, which should exist. Ironically qr code didn't work anyway! Very insistent it was the law. Then shown to table. Told to go to bar and order food/collect drinks. Doesn't the guidance say table service is recommended? Do we follow the law or not, now very confused. Sat waiting to be invited to go to breakfast bar. And waited. And waited. And waited. Only when a passing member of staff heard me complaining to my wife did we get invited. No other customers had gone up in this time. Never explained what to do if we wanted to go up again.The food is always basic but so is the price. The selling point was a quick cheap all you can eat. It is now a hassling experience that takes time and limits what you eat. Misses the point of the business.

We booked a table for five adults for Sunday lunch ,didn’t look as if the table had been sanitised ! Ordered the drinks ,then we were called up to go to the carvery counter ,what a big disappointment i ordered pork and beef ,I don’t think he could have cut the meat any thinner if he had used a razor blade,I ended up with half a slice of pork and half beef.the meat was that thin you could see through it ,don’t know what happened to the 3 pigs in blankets ,the roast potatoes were shrivelled up and dry .the Yorkshire puddings were not the best ,the sage and onion stuffing was like stoge .this is the 3rd time we have been here the first time was excellent,time number 2 was not to bad ,but this last time was the worst we won’t be back,the meal doesn’t look anything like the photos they have on the website .

My youngest Evie has downsyndrome and they kept insisting she wore a mask despite a visible illness being shown I paid for a large carvery and got a child’s portion when I spoke to the manager I got abuse and the bauld man that worked there tried touching my 5 year old x

Staff incredibly helpful and extremely nice, could not do enough. Very pleasant inside , clean and tidy and food very tasty. Well worth a visit.

We came yesterday lunch time and sat outside because we have a rather naughty dog we had drinks and a carvery each. We used the app to order which was easy to navigate, the man who was greeting at the so was so helpful and pleasant as were the other staff members who we saw. The service was fast. The carvery was amazing we really enjoyed it.

We felt like criminals because i didn.t have a smart phone with me for track and trace. Got to the table asked if they we could heat the baby food, NO was the answer against company policy. We had to buy a baby carvery, My carvery was swimming in gravy, Even tho i asked for a small amount, Staff surly and not helpful. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, Lucky to get one star.

Had the advertised festive meal at scalby manor,arrived on time showed to our table.we opted for the carvery and wasn't disappointed starter soup and carvery.covid aware good and social distancing, very nice meal and pleasant staff and good value.

This place has had its 'ups & downs' and there have been times when I stopped going. However I am pleased to be able to say that I have been twice over the past month or so and each time the carvery was excellent. It may be due to the fact that there was not many people there, but whatever I would certainly recommend it - especially for the price. The covid precautions were very good - felt totally safe.

Having won a competition through Facebook we set out for free carvery.... It was beautiful. We received an amazing welcome and were shown to our booth. Table service was to follow and then we went to choose our food. Excellent selection of everything and again... Because of Covid, served and our food brought to our table where we were left to enjoy it. The food was plentiful and hot. Absolutely beautiful. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Scalby Manor to anywhere looking for goid food and service. As well as carvery there is also an extensive selection of other choices on the menu including burgers and oven fired pizza which I have eaten at previous visits.

Eaten here a couple of times recently, both times were the same. Indifferent service, dull food and a venue completely lacking any atmosphere. Ladies loo not working properly tonight but the staff did nothing about it when we reported it. Won't be rushing back.

As locals we eat here at least once a week, sometimes more. Staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even with Covid restrictions and limitations the menu is good, the food excellent and service spot on.

My husband and I visited for a Carvery not knowing what to expect but not disappointed Service was so well organised with helpful friendly staff Food was fresh and hot and we were called to the servery to make our choices and it was then brought to our table. Well done to all Team and organisers You have certainly kicked The dining experience into touch.

My partner and myself called today both had carvery and couldn't fault. When asked we went to the carvery deck to select what meat we wanted then was asked what veg we wanted and how much, which was put on the plate by the server and then a member of staff carries the plate to the table. The food was lovely.

My dad went for the carvery on Wednesday 30th September, as he has done every week since lockdown, and was very disappointed with the small amount of meat compared with his previous visits. He has always enjoyed the ample portions but on this occasion there was a very small slice hidden under the vegetables. He also had to wait 45 minutes to get the meal which was unusual as he never had to wait in the past. However, he had always been highly satisfied with the service and quality of the food in the past.

Been today Wednesday 30 September, ordered two traditional carverys, because of COVID you complete a form with your veg meat selection etc, no meat on the plates if I say there was one inch of every meat I would not be exaggerating. Just kept looking for it couldn’t find it both carverys were the same. Told the waiter he was sorry very sorry!,,, told a waitress when we were leaving the answer have you told anyone. Never again will we go to this establishment and will be telling our friends

Well, where do I start explaining the amount of rudeness and disrespect shown towards me and my family during todays visit. It all started really well with good efficient service measures put in place due to covid, upon arrival we were quickly shown to our table by a waitress who explained the house rules on moving about. She came back a short time later to take our orders and serve our drinks.The venue was fairly empty and we didn't have to wait long for our good to be sevved and this is where everything went wrong. All three carverys were cold and the meat was on the wrong plate for two of them (correct veg just the other persons meat). We pointed this out to the waiter who had brought our meals and he seemed to have difficulty in understanding the problem. He went off to collect our tickets to go through them with us, and upon returning made a loud comment stating that he wasn't convinced that our order was wrong. We went through our selections with him and again explained the problem, so he went to get the floor manager.The manager came over with our tickets so we explained the problem to him, to be met with a response of "Are you sure because this is the only time I'm going through it?"He took our meals away to be rectified and a short time later returned with the meals freshly hot. Unfortunately he'd forgotten to bring back the sauce he also took so when this was politely asked for he went to get it. It was at this point the manager then made a comment to another member of staff that " it was now the chuffing mint sauce". I couldn't believe what I was hearing.He returned with the sauce accompanied with a smiley face and a thumbs up saying "all sorted". I told the manager that I'd heard his passing comment and requoted to him his exact words and pointed out who he'd said it to when he tried to deny it. Was I given an apology? No, all he could do was stop his jaw from landing in my dinner, turn around and walk off.The food, once finally given the correct meals at an edible temperature couldn't be faulted, however due to the blatent rudeness and disrespect shown towards myself from members of staff and management I would never recommend visiting Scalby mannor.

Visited the Scalby Manor to celebrate our 40th anniversary with my daughter and her partner, had to change the booking and tom was very helpful. Covid rules were kept to the pub was clean and tables were cleaned after every dining group. Food was great, staff were friendly and informative and very helpful my hubby has hearing disability’s they made sure he got everything he asked for in a kind and helpful way. Even gave us a takeaway tray when we couldn’t finish our meal. We all felt comfortable and confident in the way things were run under the new restrictions well done to the team we had a really great night out for our special day ❤️

As my star rating says. Average. Average prepared food, wraps came With no thought for presentation. Pizza ok. Not sure how much things were cleaned, staff didn’t seem to wear face coverings etc when delivering food to table. One way systems in place but other than that couldn’t see many other Covid precautions.

Ordered a large Sunday carvery was not impressed with the mash potato - was very lumpy.. but meal was fine after that! I did mention to a member of staff she said she could not do anything about it "her words" as it's a chef's problem.. don't think I will return. I heard so many good things about this place.. social distancing is not great! Rate 2 out 10. Even the glass are old..

A gloriously refreshing warm welcome on arrival, clear details of how to do what and seated in no time at all. Drinks were good.The invitation to get carvery came quickly, meats perfectly cooked, good variety of veg and potatoes, lashings of gravy. Pigs in blankets for those having the "whole thing"Very tasty food, well cooked, plenty of flavour.Staff were excellent. Highly recommend this place

We Didn’t feel safe, with their social distancing measures. Tables were quite close together, staff were leaning right over the tables to clear them, I think they should of been wearing face masks, especially being this close to us. There was no ice for the drinks and glass had a dirty mark on it. The food was ok for the half price offer, but would of been unhappy if I’d paid full price.

While staying in Scarborough my granddaughter and I ate here on two nights. The menu is varied and the food is well cooked, presented and very tasty. I recommend you ring and book.

We recently spent a couple of nights in our motorhome on the Camping and Caravanning site next door, and we ate here for dinner twice, and breakfast once, and the food was lovely. There were additional measures for Covid, and the place seemed very well organised and run, and we always felt safe, with only one person from each table to approach the bar to order, and markings on the floor to stand on to queue etc and a one way system in place to enter and exit, and it appeared that everyone was adhering to these rules correctly. The food was exceptionally good value, with a 3 meat Calvary at £6.95, and a hot buffet breakfast at under £5, at those prices I'm not about to start cooking in the van! This is a lovely and well run Hotel/Pub, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

If you want to stay safe during the current covid crisis stay away from Scalby Manor. Tables were sticky and multi use plastic covered menu were disgusting not very clean after being handled by various clients. Staff were not paying enough detail to finer points to protect you and keep you safe. Food average, will not be visiting again soon.Bcara47

If your looking for carvery or pizza Scalby Manor have the best we had a Sunday Carvery and would highly recommend it even though you can no longer plate the veg your self due to Covid restrictions in place. Felt safe with how the restaurant operated and managed the seating, drinks and food would definitely go back when we visit again

Have visited this establishment several times, since the lockdown was lifted.The staff on every occasion have been exceptional. They work tirelessly to ensure that the areas are clean and sanitised. As a customer this makes you feel very safe.If you haven't been recently, get yourself there! Whether it be breakfast or any other meal.

Absolute waste of time, booked a table for 7pm using the online app only to be told to wait longer as no tables free, by quarter past finally told to come in only to be told no starters, no fish, no wraps so basically only burgers, pizza & carvery only to be told there’d be a 40 minute EXTRA wait on any orders. Why not tell us when we first arrived ?! Left and didn’t bother. Time wasters.

Had a lovely experience today never been before so obvs a covid experience. Was lovely food had carvery and the onion gravy was grand. Staff welcoming and happy. All seemed safe and good set up qell done highly recommend

The burgers tasted and looked like they came out of a can of pedigree for dogs. Given a buzzer to go and collect food when ready and the quality of ingredients was abysmal. Friendly staff however the level of quality of the food was not acceptable and was way overpriced.

We went there as we were staying in the campsite round the corner. We had pizzas and a carvery. The pizzas were very nice, good base And some unusual toppings. Carvery was cooked well, turkey was tender and veg not overdone. Good value for the money. Staff were helpful and attentive.

Arrived at 6pm on a Saturday evening, were told that dogs are not allowed inside, but they were not doing food to any outdoor tables, offered the option of a take away pizza, then told could only order this on the app. But made to go to the bar for drinks!Lazy management and staff using covid as an excuse!!

We had relatives over from The Netherlands yesterday 9th August went for the carvery there First of all the serving staff need training on presentation of the food I was give 2 very thin pieces of meat then the vegetables where just slapped on top of the meat just like slop on presentation The beef was in unchewable like leather ( Brisket .) comes to mind we all commented on this It is awhile since we last visited and will be quite awhile before we go again. My recommendation STAY AWAY

We got there at 6.30, got given a high chair that was dirty, had food all in the seat (clearly not been cleaned) had to clean myself, got told one person from each family could go and order, however when we tried we got shouted out! When we were finally told our food was ready at 7.40, we were then all allowed to go together to pick our food up, my husband had a pizza with vegan cheese as he has an allergy the chefs were being rude about the cheese saying take it it’s disgusting!!! When we started eating the food the burgers and chips were cold, I left over half of mine, the roast dinners consisted of frozen potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and what tasted like smash mash!! We quickly paid and left! However since we have been home 6 of us have had very upset stomachs!

We ate lunch here on Wednesday 5th August. We hadn't booked, though a very helpful lady at the door squeezed us in on table 3. The new ordering system guidelines were explained very well and we were confident that all hygiene systems had been put in place. We collected our meals from the designated food bar, which wasn't a problem. The food was tasty, especially the vegan burger. Hats of to the team for making people feel welcome under such unusual and sometimes challenging times.

Me and my family visited here for dinner on 4/8/20 Service was brilliant and food was amazing! never been here for a long time and have been coming to Scarborough every year for holiday during the summer! Will definitely be returning here! Highly recommend! ✨

Family of five, just been for our first post-Covid carvery. Great experience. Wasn’t quite sure how it would work with someone else spooning the food onto your plate but needn’t have worried. Great quality food served in as generous manner as if I’d done it myself! Really well organised and all staff were friendly and helpful.

Hi, just wanted to say about the Manger Paul who was extremely rude with me, paid 20£ forme n my son+ I asked him - I'm I allowed to have my own beer wich he gave permission to, only 5min later he came to our table in a very rude manner and took my beer away from me! All other staff was upto scratch n very polite but manager Paul shouldn't be working in catering with his attitude problems. Thanks. T-concerned customer

Visiting this place family of 5, 2 adults 3 children. Very nice welcome from all staff,served promptly,food arrived in good time. Sat in the rear garden in the sun sipping on a nice cold Heineken. PIZZA WAS PERFECT. Definitely worth a visit.

First time here. Ordered fish and chips. We really enjoyed the food which was freshly prepared, hot and well cooked and the staff were welcoming and friendly. It was a Monday evening so was quiet but this was fine for us. Also looked around the outside of the house and learnt about the history of this lovely building. We look forward to returning for another visit later this week.

I visited here today Sunday 12th July with my partner and family... I was very nervous as we haven’t ventured out since COVID but no need to have been .. on our arrival we were met at the door by a lovely geordie guy who told us everything we needed to know... everything was very organised hand sanitiser at the door a one way system in place ... I ordered the calzone carvery pizza and it was amazing so tasty and presented lovely... I would definitely recommend this place and give it a 5 star rating ... thank you to all the staff for making our visit enjoyable and for being so organised in such a tough time we are all experiencing at the moment well done will definitely come again when visiting Scarborough

The manager and staff are making every effort to provide an excellent service under the new rules and regulations, we had two evenings meals this week both spot on, thanks to all the staff and especially the manager who really is trying hard to accommodate everyone within the current guidelines.

First outing since reopening. From reserving the table online to leaving the venue was an absolute pleasure. Easy manageable instructions and directions on how to order etc. Plenty of staff their to make sure your visit goes well. The only main change really is the carvery staff serve you everything from meat, through to veg, to gravy and condiments. Just don't be shy to ask for more and more of the roast potatoes lol. . . Love them. All the staff did everything they could to make it a great visit and it was. Food was delicious, drinks were cold and we all had a great meal. Be back soon. Craig, Sue, Zac, Ron, Nina :-)

Been here a few times does not get any better! Seem to have orders to slice the meats even thinner! veg nearly always luke warm and stood for a while!! Not good!

Good but the ladies toilet needs replacing and a bit smelly. Food really good deserts really nice although i feel a bit too expensive, sometimes staff are not always around the tables are sticky again needs renewing.

Nice carvery service and delicious food, little sad there wasn’t any gravy boats as our table was far away so was annoying. Good amount of meat on the plate unlike Toby’s. Pepsi max was expensive and glasses not very full. Sadly my pigs in blankets for 99p extra had no blankets! Clean and tidy place tho. Will be back next time we visit Scarborough.

Visited lunch time today. Quite a few people in for half term week although some tables were available.Good selection of succulent meats on the carvery and fresh vegetables, even nicer to see chips available. Nice pint of 61 deep.Puddings were of great value at £1.99 each. Strawberry trifle was nice, wife enjoyed the syrup sponge and the lad enjoyed his apple pie.All in all an enjoyable lunchtime meal.

Probably the best value breakfast I ever had. We were staying local to SCALBY MANOR and it was recommended to us to visit. So glad we did. There was 11 people eating so I rang to book a table at 10:20am. A wonderfully polite man answered the phone and I was told that there was plenty of tables free and no need to book. When we arrived I was surprised of how busy it was. We went to the bar and the polite man said to sit at any free table. Although it was busy there was plenty of tables to choose from. They offer a BUFFET breakfast until 11:30am for £4.69. Yes £4.69. This includes chips as well as the normal full English items to chooses from. The hot drinks were priced at £1.99. A large Diet Pepsi was £2.95. The food was outstanding and the staff kept it stocked up. All the staff were welcoming and polite. I would highly recommended this place for your breakfast and possibly for Sunday lunch as they were putting out delicious meats when we left.

Have been here a number of times,mostly above average to good food.Unfortunately this time,both had the carvery and not our fault but a little bit quiet night,henceGammon ham was tough and dryYorkshire pudding like rubberRoast potatoes rubbery and coldMeat gravy cold hmmmAnd to cap it all was overcharged for the priverlage assuming a large lemonade and orange cordial cost over 4pounds 50p.Went up to counter queried about the drinks but got no joy.Sent one of our meals back and got Turkey instead.If the carvery is quiet the usual practice is to refresh produce after a certain time and make smaller portions.it was quite obvious tonight this hasn't happened, and before anyone says otherwise my wife and myself have attended carveries all over the country for 40years plus.Plus they need to check the temperatures more closely. Called in for a quick tea, not the first time we have been here and won’t be the last! Had burgers they where really nice. Good prices. Really friendly helpful staff Verfriendly
