Lovely friendly staff and quality meals. Had gammon egg and chips and the gammon was lovely and tender. Chips were perfect

La pasamos muy bien aquí anoche. Hemos estado visitando aquí desde hace un tiempo tanto para las comidas como para las bebidas. Mi pollo tandoori con verduras asadas estaba delicioso al igual que mi bistec de gammon de socios. Personal amable. Esperamos con interés nuestra próxima visita.

Rosette is a great place to go and have some drinks and chat with the staff and the regulars are pretty funny too, had a great time and the shots were banging

Staff behind the bar friendly & helpful. Family of 6 dining but half the menu was not available, due I’m told to staff shortages. So a sizzling pub with no sizzling meals. Wait times were too long & a couple ordering after us got their food first & were on their dessert when we finally got ours meal after an hour. We weren’t advised when ordering how long the wait was. Then only 5 meals came out & we had to wait another five minutes for the 6th meal & a side of chips. Food was average.

I enjoy the food and the area. The starters, dinner and puddings are amazing. Next time ill come here with my friends and my brother.

Great pub, I went for afamilyday out and ended up having fish and chips here on the evening deal. Staff made my day great service, and the happy team made it a great experience. I'll see you next time I'm over from Hull.

I am a regular at the Rosette and have been coming for many years. I have seen lots of owners. Some have been excellent and others have driven customers away. The latest management seem to be retaining the customers. Food is nice and not overly expensive. Staff are good, special mention to Becca who was friendly and checked everything was ok. Thank goodness someone is looking after our local!

From the moment I walked in each member of the team was marvellous. I had been out of work due to illness for 7 years and am well enough now to return to work then out of the blue a couple of days ago I finally got a heap of diagnosis which included coeliac. Every time I go to The Rosette it is the same but this time was my first with an immune disorder and was having to learn the ropes of what food available and how to find out what on the menu I can enjoy, and, what my future looked like. Even a male member of the staff overheard me pondering and he was so considerate, then a manager came and I understood things she said. I would like to thank chef for such a (as usual) culinary delight! My thanks goes to Helen especially who got the ball rolling and was very diplomatic and professional. Ta muchly for all your kindness.

Today,the 3rd of June,my husband, brother and myself went for lunch at the Rosette. As always the parking was fab. I love the atmosphere of this lovely pub. And even better it is SO doggy friendly. The staff always offer to top up the water they put out for dogs. Seating is really comfortable. My brother ordered a Greek burger, with dirty fries and recommended sauce,my husband had sausage and mash and I decided on Halloumi Flatbread with chilli sauce.. The sausage and mash is the best I've had,my husband announced. He had same last time we came too. My brother devoured the burger declaring it delicious. I always enjoy the halloumi. I had never had it until I discovered it at the Rosette. They had puds. Apple pie and custard and Chocolate Brownie and ice cream. Very good. I wasn't hungry so didn't bother. Lovely cappuccino. Great lager choice too. We will be back soon... Highly recommended... Oh,and you couldn't wish for more lovely staff....

Had a meal here on 28/5/24, having a seafood and fish allergy I was a little worried, some places cook chips onion rings in the same fryer 😬 but not at the Rosette 😄 I was served by Helen and she talked me through the menu and spoke with the chef, food was fantastic , made even better knowing it was safe to eat 👏👏 well done The Rosette

We were staying nearby in Flamborough and were looking for somewhere for food and to watch the football, we arrived at The Rosette at a few minutes to 7pm not realising they they stopped serving at 7pm but the lovely lady behind the bar was so helpful and accommodating and helped us to get our order in, just in the nick of time which we really appreciated from the offset that she didn’t just turn us away - thank you again! The food arrived and was lovely, great portion sizes, hot and good quality - particularly with 40% off during the selected period with the app, it was an absolute steal! They also had a welcome offer in the app of a free cocktail and 10% off drinks during the football. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming during our time here. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend for anyone in the area.

Went the other month for an early dinner and a few drinks. Monday club on a good range of drinks and food was lovely. Bit of a wait on food but pub was busy so to be expected. Good deals of kids meals and great choice for us! I had double hunters chicken and was able to get hunters toppers for my chips. (Love my l nacho cheese sauce. Partner had surf and turf. Great size slab of fudge cake for afters. Garden lovely for the kids as well. No glasses allowed outside, so swapped to plastic cups when went outside but I feel that made if safer for the kids and any dogs that were on the "patio" no accidents with broken glasses. Would def go again!

Really nice place, the kids loved it and enjoyed all their food, the play park is ideal for them to run around on and me and my hubby could just watch them from the windows! Food was nice too and wait times weren't too bad but it's to be expected when the place is busy! Really happy

Absolutely fabulous experience the staff were great and the food was piping hot and tasty and a good deal too, I had the chicken gyros and my partner had the burger, the sun was shining and it was lovely would definitely recommend!

This was our first visit passed it a few times on way to Scarborough from whitby and we can't fault any of the service the staff Helen our waitress who took our order was excellent the food we order was amazing we had the mixed grill and the fish and chips great size potions and the puddings was a good portion apple pie and custard we had and the prices are excellent was worth travelling from whitby we will be back so pleased we popped in now

Ok...so we walked in...was told a 30min wait for food and an hour and a half later, food came. In between...we heard that there were staff shortages...we saw staff outside chatting with customers (more likely friends)...had to constantly wait at the bar for service...while waiting heard several complaints from other customers. The team didn't really look like they were in control. Two of them didn't look like they gave a toss. Over to the food, passable....and I mean very standard. Bits missing....some of it was cold...we had to wait for all the means to come out (around 15mins in all)...the last one being the kids meal of a couple of chips and a microwave Chicago town pizza...oven baked and burnt! We were given a round of drinks free...but since we're not drinkers...this was a couple of cokes...a couple of orange cordials and a fruit shoot. The whole experience was pathetic. This is by far the worst place I have visited. The cleanliness was poor with food trampled into the floor...the tables messy and sticky. When approached on the complaints section of the website...it's taken till now (40 days) and several chase ups to get a response. A pretty standard response too with a £15 voucher. When you consider that there was 6 of us..and the visit was crap....we expected a little.more than £15. We had spent around £90 The bottoms line....if you're wanting a pleasant and nice meal with some nice atmosphere....DO NOT GO HERE! I believe you will leave feeling disappointed.

Used to go regularly as it is the nearest to where we live. Stopped going due to indifferent food. We had visitors and we went to try it out as it had changed management and got recent good reviews. The service was very good and staff were very competent and cheerful. Will start going again starting shortly. The food was not excellent but was satisfactory.

The atmosphere from opening the door to sitting at our table was of a lively friendly eatery. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. It is incredible how much difference a happy smile and a warm welcome can make. The food is good standard pub fair, but well cooked and presented and the portions generous. It would have good to see some local ales on sale, but the cask beer I had was well kept and lively. The Rosette is well worth a visit.

Advised early that there was a possible wait for food but arrived well before stated time, only 20 mins. All food was fresh, hot and tasty. We're staying 6 miles away on Holiday and of all places between us this had best reviews and for good reason. Very friendly service from multiple staff. Our 5yo daughter loved her 'create your own sundae' and for £1.49 an absolute bargain for the fun she had!

I wish I could give 0 stars. We came here for my sister's 50th and had been looking forward to a family meal. We had made a reservation well in advance for a table for 9 people (so they knew we were coming). The service, attitudes and food were shockingly bad. It was an hour and 15 minutes waiting for our food, and when it arrived it was stone cold apart from the "sizzlers" which were burnt to a crisp. The burgers were poor and the bread stale (rock hard), the "american cheese" was a cheese slice (the ones you get in a cellophane sleeve). The southern fried chicken for 3 people was 9 (NINE!!!) chicken goujons!!! It wasn't even busy. There was a 15 minute delay between the first meal hitting the table and the last. So by the time the last meal came out the first people had finished. It was quite clear that the last meal hadn't been cooked and they made some bull**** excuse about not wanting to send the chips out as they weren't good enough and having the meal recooked. When the manager was challenged, she was loudly talking about us to her staff and then said that she needed to get some air, looking close to tears, she then disappeared. We ended up having strong words because there was no compassion for what damage they had caused to a special occasion. She was completely out of her depth and childish. They offered us a round of drinks as an apology but Completely ruined my sisters big day. I wouldve expected a full refund - especially as no one ate all of their food. The mixed grills were dry, the halloumi dish burnt, chips were cold, burgers dry and gammon (once it eventually arrived) inedible. I'm a professional woman and just wanted a nice night for my sister, ruined completely, and no one cared. They were more concerned for their Just Eat orders. Save your money and go somewhere else, there are plenty of other eateries around here which are much nicer.

Like, zoinks! As I was out walking scooby along the familiar route of Hackness Road, we found ourselves in front of The Rosette, a usually happening place. But, man, it was weirdly quiet despite the door being wide open, and the lights on. It was around 9:20 in the evening, and I was hoping for a Scooby Snack, I mean, a refreshing drink! When Scooby and I went inside, we only found four dudes grooving to some tunes at the bar. But there was no sign of any staff - like they all vanished into thin air! These dudes told us that the landlady was downstairs, doing some maintenance, and she'd been gone for about 10 minutes. They even said that she'd be back soon with free beers, man! But, like, a whole half-hour passed and the place was still as deserted as a ghost town. No staff appeared, no drinks were served - it was like we walked onto the set of the Mary Celeste, completely abandoned! Finally, two ladies emerged from the back of the pub, but they were only dealing with the lines and pulling them of and bringing them to the dudes in the bar. When I asked for a drink, one of them said she couldn't use the till 0r pull me a brew. No alternatives, no apologies - it was like a bad episode, man! Leaving a pub unattended for that long, with the door wide open for anyone to stroll in, was not cool. It was a total waste of time and, to be honest, it was kinda scary, man! The whole experience was, like, really not groovy at all.

Welcoming venue and a warm welcome from the staff. They advised us that they had a new menu so we took our table and started to peruse the meals on offer. There was a wide selection and interesting variety of starters and mains so making our choices took some time. We settled for the 3 starters for £11 offer to share, nachos , mozzarella sticks plus dip, and battered mushrooms with another dip. All delicious. Our mains were both Greek Giros dishes, my wife had hers with a wrap, salad and skin on fries. Mine was the Gian Giros dish on a sizzle plate with Giros chicken and jalapeño chillies on a bed of hot veg's, skin on fries plus side salad and two wraps. Both mains also hat tzatziki and a hot sauce drizzled on. The portions were more than generous and we were both beaten and totally "stuffed" Amazing food at reasonable prices and highly recommended if you are ever in Scarborough

SHOCKING!!! This meal was for Mother’s Day 10/03/2024 table of 8..never in my life I have experienced anything like this all our meals was taken at the same time so all meals would come out at the same time I was appalled at the fact 3 people including my mother was sat waiting for their meals whilst others ate so theirs didn’t go cold waiting for the rest of the meals to come out, the 3 people was then left eating whilst everyone else had finished (the meals were tasteless) My mother ordered ‘mixed grill’ came out on a sizzler plate the mushrooms and veg were cremated and stuck to the bottom of the plate, the peppercorn sauce came out after she had eaten what she could that was also very watery… we left feeling disappointed in the staff and management!! I do want to give credit to (Vee) the only waitress that seemed to know what she was doing!!!

As locals we decided to try it out again after we had heard it had a new Manager, WOW what a difference, it was nice to have a meal that actually come out Sizzling!, It was lovely and hot, hope things continue like this, and get the pub back to how it used to be!!!

4* on TripAdvisor is “very good” and it wasn’t that…so it’s getting an average review. Quite big platefuls of food for not much money. Nothing really wrong with it either - just average. Lots of dishes not available, including our two first choices. The person behind the till read out the list and looked for an immediate answer. “I need to go and check” I said and there was a slight roll of the eyes. There were too many things to just remember by the time I’d got back to the table. Surely this happens on a regular basis so they could do with a system where customers don’t need to do an impersonation of a music hall memory man to be able to place an order. When it arrived a whisker under three quarters of an hour after placing the order, it was….wait for it….average. A couple of slight niggles, but nothing major. Wouldn’t go rushing back.

It was my wife's birthday today and food was spot on as it was gorgeous so thank u so much and luke and mille was very good and looked after us very well. So thank you for an amazing experience as defo be coming back again and the price of the food is very good for what you get.

We had Christmas Dinner here today, it was a really nice atmosphere and we felt very comfortable with our autistic toddler who was been quite vocal. They were very accommodating and the Christmas lunch was delicious. The soup was lovely my fussy toddler ate all of his, the main was lovely and all cooked just right for a Christmas lunch. We also had deserts. I had the Christmas pudding, my husband had the apple pie and my daughters tried the triple desert. They were all lush and we were all very pleased. Highly recommended for a realaxing family meal.

7 members of our family had travelled from all over the UK for a celebration. We chose the Rosette because our parents would take us there most Sundays when we lived in Scarborough. We were not disappointed and it brought back amazing memories and allowed us all to laugh recounting stories of those days running around the garden. The staff were brilliant and friendly, the food was good and incredible value. Thank you to the team there for an amazing experience.
