Best fish & chips in the local area by a country mile! Fresh fish every time. Friendly customer service and excellent lunch time deal.

The Princess is a cosy traditional pub serving a good selection of beers. Friendly staff and a welcoming pub. Food menu is available and there is a good selection to choose from. Nice beer garden at the back. Dogs and kids welcome.

El servicio era rápido y rápido no estaba muy lleno con que era un domingo, pero cuando la comida llegó la comida muy sosa y demasiado yendo en el plato, el lugar es muy agradable por dentro, pero eso es todo lo que era agradable

Delicious Thai and Massaman curries, served with beef, lamb, chicken or prawns. A range of succulent rice, coconut rice being my favourite. Not tried the restaurant yet but it won't be long!

We had a lovely meal on Saturday evening. A party of nine for my husbands 73rd birthday. He sadly has terminal cancer and wanted some decent fish and chips whilst he still could. They did not disappoint, the haddock was chunky with crispy brown batter. We brought a cake with us and the staff supplied a knife and cream. They didn’t charge platage like some restaurants do. Very attentive and pleasant staff. We sat near the lovely old gentleman who played so many great tunes on the piano, all without sheet music. Shame we were the only ones who clapped at his musical expertise.

Después de haber estado para una comida antes, esperaba que el servicio fuera bueno y la comida excelente, ya que era un regalo de cumpleaños, este no fue el caso, un almuerzo de pescado frito con papas fritas se colocó frente a mí y describiría el pescado como envuelto en una caja dura de masa que tomó un poco de frenado, la masa era dura y muy grasosa, las papas fritas eran insípidas, nos preguntaron al final de la comida si todo estaba bien, dije que no, no lo era y señaló que la masa debería haber sido ligera y crujiente, el gerente dijo que debería haber dicho algo como todos los demás estaban contentos con el suyo, a eso respondí que todos los pescados eran iguales, todo en una masa dura donde se aprende a cocinar pescado con papas fritas, nadie vino a verlo la comida estaba bien, soy la única persona que sabe cómo se debe cocinar el pescado con papas fritas me ofrecieron un descuento, pero dije que no, no voy a volver, desde mi visita he hablado con varios amigos que también dijeron que su comida era horrible, ha cambiado de manos. Hace 12 meses publiqué un artículo en el Dalesman de lo bueno que es el fish and chips en Yorkshire que es bueno y que no, voy a hacer otro muy pronto, la próxima vez iré a Buzzie Lizzies. saludos John Pittock

Fish and chips terrible worst I have had for many a year

I have to write & say we have been to this restaurant numerous occasions as it is so relaxing looking out directly on to the lake & a fabulous atmosphere , the food as always is impeccable & the waiters & waitresses are so polite & nothing is too much trouble, My compliments to Lakeside Restaurant for employing such lovely friendly staff as Leah,Alex,Joel, & Matt These are the only people who we got to speak to serving our food, but I am sure the chefs, & the rest of the staff are just as nice as you can tell they are a happy team .Thank you for making our time there so memorable Pam France
