A proper pub. Good range of beers etc. Friendly Landlord and staff. Large car park and outside kid's area. Plenty of tables and seating. It has become our regular refuelling station.

Has become a regular spot for us, the new management have given the place a new lease of life. The quality of the beers has remained excellent - the TT Landlord probably the best I have had. Great atmosphere with friendly staff and a welcoming crowd.

Great traditional pub, came for a quick pint after work! The beer was cold and had a good “head” which is always a good sign! Decent value for money and there were quite a few people there including children and dogs! Would return!

22 April 24. (2nd update) Nice, well kept pint of Saltaire Blonde, also has Tetley Bitter, Taylor's Boltmaker& Landlord as regular beers. Nice & clean. Slightly out of the way for non locals, but still worth a visit. Called in again 8th Sept 20 during restrictions and was quiet as expected (2•30pm) but the beer was spot-on and the place is spotless. Upgrading from 3 to 5 stars.

Wow, how much this little gem has changed, the new owners Stuart and Claire are amazing, so friendly, along with employing great friendly staff who are so efficient, I am at a loss about the reviews about the poor quality wine, there is nothing wrong with it, I don't understand what the problem is with wine in a small bottle, its a normal measure! I would highly recommend this pub for the great ambiance and clientele, keep up the great work

Popped in recently for a drink and was very pleasantly surprised to see the change. This is all down to new management and staff. All exceptionally friendly and always serve with a smile on their face which clearly demonstrates that they enjoy their job. A much improved asset to this pub is that they allow dogs, Stuart, Claire, Hayley, Bee, Lauren, Amy, Freya and Ben, keep up the great work 👍

Contrary to the previous review. The previous owners provided an excellent choice of wine. The majority of it now is in small poor quality bottles. Unable to get a large glass of wine which is strange. The pub was always absolutely spotless but now seems shabby & not as fresh as it was. Joe & Irene kept an immaculate pub. Sad it's changed & lots of regulars have moved on elsewhere

Haven't been in this pub for a little while but someone said they had new owners in so thought we would give it a try. So much better than it used to be, the place seemed a bit fresher and they finally have some really good wines on rather than the dross they had on before. Service was good and really friendly, think the landlady's name was Claire and she seemed really nice. Will definitely be back again now.

I tried to contact the pub directly but the phone number is not working. We visited on a warm evening and there were several dogs there (none were mine) but no water provided. I ask one of the female staff members, with black hair, if it was possible to get some water for the dogs, only to be told very abruptly that 'it is not my job to get water for people's dogs, there are some bowls out (I couldn't find one) and a tap'. VERY RUDE. Another customer intervened and water was then provided. Staff training needs to be reviewed. Usually the staff at this pub are very friendly and obliging, this was an exception.

Don’t visit with children; there is a run down, tatty old playground, which despite looking pretty uninviting, kept the children - and therefore the parents happy! But children aren’t allowed inside the pub, so we had to leave when it started raining. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful pub, we would have liked to spend a lot more time there today and over the summer.

If you like cask ale, come here! This pub has the Autovac system on its cask pumps which means they deliver a super creamy pint with a head that lasts until the bottom of the glass. I only recently discovered that the Autovac system is relatively unknown outside West Yorkshire which is crazy! Yes, the bar staff needed to keep washing their hands but assuming they do, the pint is immeasurably better than standard cask pumps. When I visited there were 3 beers on, Tetley, Landlord and Saltaire blonde. Perfect trio! Before the brewery closed, I used to drink lots of Tetley in Leeds from the Templar which is also Autovac. This was just like the good old days, a malty, creamy pint thanks took a few minutes to settle. Perfect! The pub also happens to be VERY clean, well laid out with a nice outdoor area to boot. You could see it as a pro, or a con but they do not serve food. Serious beer lovers only!
