Very smiley and friendly staff and much quieter than the other place in the park. Good selection of food, treats and drinks too!

Great coffee and atmosphere! My said it was the best coffee she ever ordered. The Barista made us a great 3 Americano misto (even tho I had to explain this north American drink to him, he 100 excelled the job!)

Ellie and Ross run a lovely cafe. The food is delicious! I had the Buddha Bowl all freshly made and so healthy! Followed later by a generous slice of their Caramel Drip cake...sublime! There were so many lovely things on the menu for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea I'm looking forward to returning. Beautiful surroundings in a stunning park and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you guys and well done x

A lovely spot in the park for a relaxing tea break. We were served by Ross, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The matcha and ice cream I had were both absolutely delicious, perfect for a sunny day! :)

Coffee is great, staff always polite, food very good. Would be even better if dogs always allowed inside - was turned away today because tables outside full and not allowed to use one of the empty ones inside. Shame - was looking forward to breakfast. Also need to reorganise take away system. Currently you have to go inside to order then back out to wait for your food/drink. Think about a system for ordering and collecting from the hatch.

I visit The Garden Room regularly either with a group of friends or with my husband. The staff are always friendly. Service is great. Today because the sun was out I decided to have a Passionfruit and lemon iced tea, it was delicious!

Great selection of cakes. Made us long black coffees even though they weren't on the menu and they were perfect@

Visiting this cafe every weekend with my family has now become tradition. The coffee here has never disappointed. The staff are always speak to you with a smile on their face. The atmosphere is very classy with a wonderful view of Roundhay Park. I’ve been a returning customer since 2021. Hope to keep the traditional visits alive for many years to come.

Awesome. I wish I could come sometime during the day, before afternoon, to drink my tea, but I came for coffee. The place is amazing. The black coffee is delicious. Hot chocolate is fantastic. My sister says, and the flat whites say it’s sweet. We got a brownie. I don’t advise you. There is a second one that contains caramel (biscuits, caramel, and chocolate). The layers are that sweet.

I'm a regular here and it's my favourite café in Leeds. Serves the best coffee and all the staff are top notch - friendly, welcoming and professional.

Acabo de desayunar a 14 libras. 95 era tibio y escaso un huevo mitad de un tomate pequeño una salchicha de champiñón poco cocido una ceniza marrón dos tocino y tostadas blancas empapadas no vale la pena el dinero, marido había revuelto huevo en tostadas tenía té que venía en una tetera pequeña y eso era para dos, puertas de entrada necesitaba una buena limpieza, y las mesas necesitaban limpiarlo era gruñón, creo que se ha hecho cargo ha utilizado para ser lovley también a los precios allí cobrando debería ser servicio de mesa

Tuvimos una tarde maravillosa en la Mansión. Disfrutamos de un té de la tarde muy bien preparado y presentado. Lo habíamos reservado como una celebración número 70 para mi madre que estaba absolutamente emocionada. El equipo fue muy atento y nos hizo sentir muy especial. Volveremos desafiantemente de nuevo es una combinación ganadora de un edificio precioso, en una ubicación bonita, fácil aparcamiento, buena comida y un personal particularmente encantador!

Just want to leave a lovely note on here, so people know where to come for wonderful service and amazing staff who always go out of there way to provide excellent food drinks and above all friendly service. They go above and beyond and even when queues out of the door they still spend time with you and ask how you are and how your doing. Would definitely recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed and will definitely return time and time again and bring your family and friends.😄

Mi madre y yo fuimos a tomar el té de la tarde para celebrar mi matrimonio. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y el servicio era 10 / 10. Muy recomendable! La comida y las bebidas fueron fabulosas y un montón de pequeñas sorpresas en la presentación del té de la tarde.

El restaurante solo permite perros fuera, pero el personal servicial amable comida de banda siempre constante. Ofrecen porciones pequeñas o grandes de y los perros puppachinos. Justo en el parque

An absolute gem in the middle of a fabulous park! I’ve been coming here most mornings for years. The coffee is good, the staff are personable, the sweet treats are tasty and to top it all I get to enjoy a view of our beloved Roundhay Park every morning!

The staff are fantastic , very polite and very helpful Tilly , the manager has made a massive , positive difference to the cafe , I love visiting and the food is excellent as is the coffee ! There is no where better to sit than on the terrace Watching the world go by when it’s a lovely day . The food , particularly the specials are lovely , freshly made with quality ingredients. Definitely worth a visit !.

Nice enough place with lovely views of the park but it's really resting on its laurels and location. Food is limited standard fare and £4 for a not very good oat milk coffee!? Really? It's cheaper and vastly superior in central London.... (as well as nearby)

Todays staff were smart, courteous, friendly , welcoming , attentive to food intolerances. Quick to serve with a smile and checking if anything else was required. First class in our opinion.

Came for a walk around Roundhay Park though started here at the Garden Room Cafe. Had the Coronation Flatbread and Masala Chips from the specials menu - well and truly satisfied the food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and polite. If I got back in the car now and went home I feel I’d be satisfied for the rest of the day !! 5*

Just popped in for the first time today and was blown away by the outstanding customer service of the very friendly, attentive staff. Thank you, it was lovely! We will definitely be back. Fab hot chocolates, ice cream and pastries.

Staff need a medal for dealing with the general public. I sat at table 10, near the door, where people come in and stand over you and your food. It was very busy and noisy. Waiting staff bumped into my chair a few times. The food was lovely and the tea very good. On a quiet day it would have been a much better experience.

Called in on Sunday morning for a drink and a snack. The location is great and the interior is pleasant but beyond that it was very disappointing. The tea was Yorkshire so was ok, but the (very expensive) hot chocolate was the instant "just add water" type with cheap squirty cream on top. It was so bad my husband didn't drink it. The sausages in my sandwich were cheap and nasty, and again, didn't finish it. The staff were pleasant enough. How this place gets "excellent" ratings on TripAdvisor I don't know. I wouldn't return.

This is a favourite place of ours and we are never disappointed. We came here recently for a family lunch and were well looked after by the staff. The food was excellent and the place was clean and tidy and the food great, in particular the sweet potato wrap and falafel wrap. The only downside is that it’s one of the few restaurants in the area that still doesn’t allow dogs inside despite it being in the middle of a park full of dog walkers. They still come because they like it, but have to sit outside in all weather (some kind of protection from the weather would go down well)

The cafe is a great place to eat and drink. Our food and drinks were served to us with a lovely and friendly smile and made us feel very welcome. Great views of the park from the cafe terrace and good for dog walkers and children.

Been to The Mansion today for Brunch, a very enjoyable experience. The service was great, as usual. Tilley, Jonah and Chloe are professional and very friendly I recommend The Mansion.

I took an elderly friend for a spot of posh lunch but was disappointed. Really gone downhill. Only self service, no waiting service anymore and prices were still high. Had to get our own menus and find our own table. Sandwich was in a bag on a plate even though we ordered from the menu....not happy. It used to be a special treat but not anymore.

Called in for lunch, not been for a while and see that it changed hands a couple of years ago, the change is not for the better, gone is the waiter/customer service that we had previously enjoyed the apparently all male staff were too busy to engage with the customer, a little like a works canteen. THEN THE TILL COMPUTER SYSTEM BROKE! My suggestion that they use a PEN AND PAPER TO WRITE down orders and take CASH using the tip jar money as a float was greeted with a blank stare and then a refusal of the idea on the grounds that it could not be done as everything has to be recorded, I pointed out that they could make late entries once the system re-booted but this was too far fetched for them to contemplate. We left and enjoyed a meal overlooking the lake at the other eatery in the park. We returned later in the afternoon only to find that the cafe had been closed, It was a Saturday and a warm day, I wondered what the boss thought about losing all those customers they could have served if they had used a little common sense. I hope that they will have a back-up strategy in place for the next time the all important computer system fails.

Cute cafe with amazing view of Roundhay park. Fast service, good fair prices and really tasty food. Brunch and breakfast options which is always is bonus. Dogs are allowed on the terrace. Plenty of seating inside.

The Garden Room is situated within the mansion in Roundhay Park, so it's quite some setting. It was a lovely sunny day when we visited, so we sat outside. Our cake and drinks were great and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit!

(Some) of the staff at the garden room are fantastic in spite of poor management. Always very friendly and accommodating so I am appalled to learn that the people who make my regular trips to the garden room worthwhile are treated so badly! Several of the best members of staff have been forced out by the (always) rude management. I will find some where else to take my daily coffee. Disgraceful.

We had such a wonderful experience. Oli (Oliver) was so accommodating from the moment he took my call until we left. He made sure everyone of us was satisfied and that was no easy task as we were a very large group. Food was delicious as always accompanied by good coffee and a selection of teas. Make sure to give their eggs royale a taste, definitely a popular choice here. Thank you very much to Oliver and the team!!!

Excellent service and food. Went with friends and family to celebrate Eid and had a truly wonderful time. We were worried that we’d overwhelm them as we were a group of over 20 but the staff handled it effortlessly.

This is a very pleasant, well staffed and appealing café set in the rolling acres of Roundhay Park, Leeds. You can sit outside or indoors, there's plenty of space, the cakes look great and the coffee is good!

We were refused service for just 2 coffees despite it being within advertised opening hours, by a very unfriendly server who gave her rather whiny reason that they were closing early because they'd been so busy. That's a surprise in itself. She really did have the affect of a person who'd been working down the pit. Righto . I've been here twice recently, the last time wasn't great either and the place was filthy, frankly. Suggest Rand round the corner on Street Lane where staff are polite and welcoming, the coffee is better, the place is clean too.

Young waitress at the till on 24th October 2022, around 3 pm served me with absolute no expression. I ignored her till I saw her converse happily with the following customers. I was not welcome here, that was obvious. I had my 6 year old with me. Not acceptable.

The Garden Room is very well run it opens at 9 am unlke its neighbour The Lakeside Cafe which opens at 10 am the chairs and sofas are far more comfortable, the staff are friendlier, the food is cheaper and much tastier, I would recommend it highly a waiter called George served me, he was charming and helpful he has all the qualities to become a Manager kind regards Chris

We called in for a mid morning hot snack and drinks. Ordered the Roundhay Bap, sausage, bacon, egg, tomato and mushroom in a toasted bap, and two cappuccinos. The coffees were served hot, whilst the meal was being prepared and cooked. The bap was served...

I find this place frustrating. I come once or twice a week as the location is fantastic. I just find the staff so badly trained. Often the tables outside are bursting with dirty cups etc. but when staff come outside to serve they ignore the mess and just go back inside with empty trays. Oblivious to the mess. Why?
