Popped in for a drink in the afternoon after Christmas shopping. A lovely atmosphere, great cocktails and friendly and efficient staff. The party of people at the next table ordered pizza and it looked and smelled amazing and was enormous! Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Best spoons in the UK. Always fun. Always good.

Wrong name for this club. Should just be called “disco spoons for white people”. Been there for nearly a year. And guess what, was kicked out for “not buying drinks”with my other black and Asian friends. I’ve spent around £600 there in 9 months. And I’m “the one who’s not buying drinks”. Also even if I’m not buying drinks, so what, is there a rule that you can’t be dancing in that club if you’re not buying anything?? If the security guys really wanna do some jobs, try to kick out those who’s lack of basic manners and acting like they’re the best in the world. Speaking of the country with manners, really disappointed. SHAME ON YOU!!

Been here many times, never eaten, worth a stop on pub crawl.

Went on a Wednesday morning for breakfast. Order came quickly and food was fine, could have been a little hotter. No real complaints though. Too quiet to comment on atmosphere.

Having never seen a " Disco Spoons" before, we felt obliged to take a peek. What a fabulous place 😍 for young peeps. Absolutely brilliant positive and happy environment. We got there early when it's quiet. Got a bit loud for us oldies as the eveningprogressed. But we respect that the younger generation need exclusive pubs too. Well done wetherspoons. 👏 brilliant idea near the colleges.

Food was ok but beer was off. Replaced it with a different one and that was poorly kept

Early afternoon visit for food & a drink before going to arena. Service was quick (via apps) and food was nice n hot. We shared 3 dishes for £14, pepperoni pizza, cheesy chips and chicken nuggets with jack Daniels sauces. All fresh and tasty. Drinks were gin and lemonade

Great place to have foods and drinks. Another excellent Weatherspoon, the heritage of British culture. Nice staffs, nice environment. You can also sit outside. Reasonable prices of foods with good quality. Possibly on Tuesday there is a pub quiz, which is excellent.

First time in this Spoons (Ive been to 4 other Spoons in Leeds), quite different to all other spoons as it had dance music playing, guess that's why its listed as "Disco Spoons". Quite a large pub with two floors. Wooden flooring on ground floor so no Spoons carpet pic! Was the quickest food service Ive ever had in a Spoons, I had to check on my receipt to confirm and yes I placed the order via the App at 3:27pm for Southern fried chicken strips with chips and it arrived at my table at 3:30pm and it was piping hot and tasted amazing.

Went for a few drinks out with friends and whilst queuing at the bar a man probably later 40s/50s who looks to be the manager came out swearing to us said ‘well you’re not getting a f*cking drink here are you’ ‘f*cking move’ because we ACCIDENTALLY stood on the wrong side of the bar we were unaware. Felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed because it was infront of a lot of people and he’s triple our age shouting at us. Shame rlly coz it’s a great gaff x

My favourite spoons in Leeds. Nice, big building with good choice in seating. Gets busy on Friday and Saturday evenings/nights but is good fun if you like that (a good, cheap place to pre-drink). Throughout the week it's quieter and service is generally very quick.

The whole experience was unpleasant should have realised when there wasn't a disabled entrance or toilet that there would be issues, the food was terrible the service was really bad they practically threw the food on our table , will definatley not be going there again and wouldn't reccomend at all .

food was alright but not that fantastic, it came quite fast and the atmosphere was great. i had the beef burger and cranberry juice.

It was a great experience there, but more still needs to be done whenever there's a queue and only one till will be serving customers while other tills are redundant.

For my first time in Leeds with friends this was the perfect place to get drinks but also to have a good time. It felt like a nightclub without actually being one. The service was good for how busy it was and staff were fairly apologetic if they got an order wrong. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone seemed to have a good time. I got a few glares and stares because I am from the south. :)

Very busy when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Usual Wetherspoon's food options and interior decor. You can't go wrong if you need a quick meal and you're not too fussy.

Not wheelchair/scooter accessible except the very lowest area which has access through a fire door that someone needs to open (had to send someone in after ringing the bell twice). Be aware there is no bar here either, so you'll need to order on the app if you're on your own.

All the staff that work here every single time the food is spot on, the service is impeccable! Best wetherspoons in the UK far as I'm concerned

Good city centre pub. There are several Wetherspoon pubs in Leeds City Centre, and you can make a cheap night out, going from one to the other. They are all within walking distance.

Had a stake on the steak club menu. £10.50 and I only got the steak and chips. No extras. Nothing. It was well cooked and tasted good. Just a little let down on the value for money.

Food average. You seem to pay more but the portions are less. Must be a post COVID thing. Competitive prices.

I'm always so curious to how Whetherspoons has so many properties each of which aren't the same. Staff here were on the ball with very little wait time between ordering drinks on the app and them arriving at the table. Bonus being the toilets (Gents) were nice and tidy too.

Popped in for a quick drink before dinner elsewhere. The staff member behind the bar who served me was really friendly. Standard wetherspoons selection of drinks and lots of seating. Unfortunately there were some pretty unsavoury characters causing a ruckus (breaking glass, squaring up to the security, shouting..) which made me feel a bit unsafe, but they were handled quickly and escorted out. Felt sorry for the security to be honest!

Lively and quite busy, but was served quickly and efficiently. A good choice of drinks.

Good food for a reasonable prices

Problem we have when visiting is the wait to get in with a wheelchair. We have to go round the side of the building and ring a bell and wait a fair while. In the cold and rain it is not fun. Then there's the squeezing past things to get in and out of the lift (mops and buckets) The above was during the day, however I went last night 15th Feb 24 and the girl I was served by was unbelievably rude. Such a shame as the staff during the day have always been nice. Latest and last visit 7th August. This place has gone downhill. Items on the menu not in stock again! No staff at the upstairs bar, not for the first time. Ended up going to stick or twist. Star rating now reduced

Nice cheap place to eat with quick service. However, the staff, especially the management, are rude and lack respect or manners toward customers. It was a really disgusting experience.

I always come to the hedley verity every Sunday afternoon for my dinner always spot on the menu is varied a good selection

My whole order got lost in the Euro Final pre-match madness, after a while I feared the worst- however Team Leader Adam was extremely helpful and sorted it out! Big thanks

After visiting at my granddaughters Art college exhibition, we called in this JD’W. So big, so spacious. Pick a floor depending whether you want busy or quiet. Love the Ramen Noodles (& poached egg) @ all JD’Weth’ They were installing TVs preparing for this weekends Euro Football (starts Sat’ 7th June). They think of their clientele

Service was quite slow unfortunately due to the deluge of students but the food was excellent and staff are very friendly

This is one of the best Wetherspoons pubs I’ve been in … Good atmosphere often with some music playing in the background … The food we had was excellent on each occasion … Staff were friendly and the service was pretty quick too … Beer was nice … And they also had the football on the big screens so that was an extra bonus … Would definitely return to this pub if I’m ever in Leeds again

Another great building. Good efficient staff. Food ok as asked for gourmet steak medium rate but blood less. Quite a few students and street folk milling around. Cold if you sit under the silly air conditioning vents 🥶 not needed in chilly old Blighty.

I only gave this p!ss poor place 1 star because I couldn’t give it 0 stars Food ordered via the app, nearly an hour later and the (solo) barman yelled to any customer within earshot “if you’ve ordered online please go to the refund queue, you could be waiting all day” Then the food arrives 10 minutes later… Cold and overcooked Very poor; will not return… ever

Food portions are getting so small, you leave hungry. Staff were good and the only thing dragging this up to neutral. Heavy banging bass either from next door or downstairs, conflicting with upstairs music and made the overall visit very frustrating.

We were there because we couldn't get into the usual one. This property doesn't have level access and even going to the toilet was an adventure. The food and service was very good though.

Having walked out of The Cuthbert Brotherick because the Gents toilets were out of commision( but they could share with the ladies loo's... WHAT???) none of our mixed party, who were wanting to eat there, wanted to stay... So went to Headley Verity... Where the loos were working but non of the fryers... So you could have a burger (biggest part of the menu)... BUT NO FRIES.. WEDGES.. or basically anything thank needed frying... Again biggest part of the menu. So having already got a round if drinks, As we had done in Cuthbert Brotherick, 2 hours later, and very hungry we ended up at Beckets Bank. We're everything was fine.. But by that time we could have eaten the table?

I've been coming here for years, usually after work on a Thursday. Lovely and spacious, I tend to like the smaller seats and chairs rather than the high tables & stools. when its not to busy, wish there was more of these but all that aside, a place to look forward to coming, with a nice selection of wines and beers and friendly hard working staff. Easy five out of five for me.

Where do you start . So Miners Benedict turned up cold' eggs solid was sat under heater shelf for a good 15 mins offered us a refund . No a hot miners Benedict would be nice that's what we paid for . My full English turned up cold asked for black pudding the answer I got was there limited for space in the kitchen so they can't cook it although miners Benedict comes with black pudding !!!. Shocking cold food latte luke warm won't be going back .

Served red wine by the glass in brandy glasses instead of wine glasses, when challenged staff said we have been told to save the wine glasses for Aperol spritz. WTH 🤷‍♂️

When the rest of the Wetherspoons are packed, take a short walk out of town and you'll find this one fairly quiet. Everything else exactly as you'd expect.

Can't beat being able to order from your table and back to the dancefloor!

Staff very friendly even though it was extremely busy food was brilliant

Some staff members were rude and wouldn’t allow refunds for refused drink orders on the app, despite them not telling us the place was closing. The staff told that the top floor was shutting, not the whole place. We wouldn’t have had any issues if we were told the place was closing. I understand this is probably an honest communication mistake but I don’t understand the rudeness of the staff.

Constant turn over of folk, good atmosphere

Food wasn’t to bad but my chips came cold. The tables were all filthy and the staff/service was so so bad.
