Outstanding as per usual Food top notch, value for money superb, customer service top friendly staff, bonus is its a great pub as well as a great eating place...Certain so called cafe in the shopping centre take note!!

The prices are expensive for what you're getting. The food isn't good quality The drinks taste like dish soap Would not recommended this place

Came in Thursday 27th March 2025 had Mac'n Cheese and diet coke..Around £11...fantastic food great service miles better than alot of cafes especially a certain one in Cross Gates Centre..never had a bad meal in the station, and fab value great customer service.. Table for 11 mainly for Sunday Dinner, well organised, well prepared, very accommodating, staff were lovely, food was piping hot, all came out together and plenty on the plate, can't say a bad word, thank you we all had a lovely day/evening.

Mi padre y yo tuvimos una maravillosa experiencia festiva esta tarde. Fuimos recibidos por Chris a la llegada y se nos mostró a nuestra mesa que estaba muy bien decorado. El gerente era muy atento, nada era demasiado problema. Tuvimos un menú de Navidad de 3 platos cocinado por Zoe. Los cócteles de gambas eran grandes langostinos jugosos en una sabrosa salsa de rosas Marie. Ambos comimos filetes, cocinados a la perfección con patatas fritas muy calientes y guisantes. Después de un descanso de bienvenida mi papá tomó una tarta de pastel de cereza y natillas 🍮. Seguro decir que nos hicieron sentir orgullosos, gracias Zoe por nuestras comidas encantadoras. Gracias a Chris y George también. ¡Un gran esfuerzo de equipo! Volveremos.

Chris and his team served us an excellent 3 course Xmas lunch yesterday. There was service with a smile, the food was good and the staff were attentive. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Came for Christmas Lunch today with my mum and my nanna starters chicken strips and main course was steak with chips it was gorgeous then my pudding was Chocolate orange cake the service was great and the staff were very welcoming definitely recommend the Christmas dinner (steak) Thank you

Cannot beat this place for price, amazing food and lovely staff. The atmosphere is relax they have sports on all day including horse racing and greyhounds as a proper pub should have. Highly recommend visiting here. Also amazing deals via the green king sports app

Sunday lunch for a table of 12. A family gathering for my nephews 18th birthday. The food all came out hot on hot plates, everything was delicious. But the guy who served us was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for him, and we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be back

You cannot beat this place for price, quality and atmosphere. Staff are amazing and very helpful. The food is cheap (and when I say cheap you could not cook this at home for the price) offers they have on food and drink is superb. Really recommend the station any time

had a great visit we were welcomed by zoe at the bar who was professional courteous but really friendly and a great asset to this smashing little pub, we also food which was cooked to perfection by Zoe the chef and she certainly is a very competent cook and the meal was amazing value and good quality, in the words of Arnold Swarzenneger "I'll be back' thanks to the Zoes for putting with our 2nd rate dad jokes, you guys rock! 😎

I've been a local for over 30yrs but not anymore. The place has been in serious decline for over 3yrs now. The jukebox in the taproom can be heard thumping from home bargains and that's at 1 in the afternoon. Avoid at all costs in its present condition there are much better options in Cross gates.

When entering the pub all I could see was dirty tables and there was a dirty smell to the place, we sat at a table that we thought was clean to find it was all sticky. On finding a table that was sort of clean! I could just see the young lad who was working the bar just stood there literally doing nothing, I know it’s a local pub but if your going to sell food at least make sure the tables are clean. We went ahead and ordered food thinking maybe they have been really busy, all the time we was there they never cleaned one table when they was not even a customer to serve. I’m sorry but wow this place has gone done hill, dirty smelly and ignorant staff members.

After waiting for barrel to be changed for my guiness after 10 minutes I got a "settling pint" The attached picture is the finished article. Was waiting for a taxi so couldnt be bothered taking the drink back. Normally a half decent pub so will chalk it down to a one off.

Went in for a quick drink and watch a football game. Reasonable prices, pool table area and a few screens to watch the match. Volume turned low sometimes. Will re visit.

Spent a great day in the station We came in and first thing I noticed how busy it was. We got served quickly and the food was amazing. I had the hunters chicken and my friend had the steak and both perfect. We will be returning

Great selection of real ales in this pub. It rarely disappoints. Pizza deal which is good on a Monday and Thursday. Sunday dinner looks great but not tried it myself. Food a little pricey but well worth it.

Came to The Station today for lunch and it was absolutely superb. I opted for the build your own burger as it's only £5 on a Wednesday, £6 for a double burger. I chose chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and curry sauce as my 3 toppers and it didn't disappoint! Absolutely lovely food, friendly staff and a bangin burger for the ridiculous price of £6! I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially on a Wednesday 👌 I'll be back that's for sure!

We had our Christmas Dinner here yesterday. The food was delicious, portions were huge, we were a big party and all came out efficient and hot. Well set up. Staff went above and beyond on their own Christmas too and the kids got a treat when we left. Would 100% recommend

I currently visit every 2 weeks with friends and family. The staff and the head chef (Zoe) were absolutely amazing. So welcoming, and they always go above and beyond to live up to their customers' requests. Don't forget, no spicy garnish! I'll burn my mouth ( again ).
