White Cross Fisheries in Leeds

Delicious Thai and Massaman curries, served with beef, lamb, chicken or prawns. A range of succulent rice, coconut rice being my favourite. Not tried the restaurant yet but it won't be long!

this is one of the best fish shops in this area and the prices are fantastic ......really nice white fish not too greasy either

Visitamos aquí más temprano hoy y comimos 2 pasteles de carne con papas fritas a un costo total de 7, que debo admitir que fue sorprendentemente barato. Tomó poco tiempo y debido al coronavirus me pidieron que esperara afuera hasta que me llamaran. Las patatas fritas estaban bien, pero las tartas eran horribles y la mayoría de la mía estaba en la papelera. Una pequeña zona de aparcamiento está situada directamente en frente de la tienda y hay una buena selección de menús. . . . . Barato pero no alegre.

Visité hoy y quedé muy decepcionado con el tamaño del pescado y la cantidad de papas fritas servidas. El pescado tenía aproximadamente 7 pulgadas de largo con aproximadamente 1/2 del tamaño de una porción ordinaria de papas fritas. Cuando les pregunté a las dos chicas que servían si esto era un error, no dijeron nada, solo se quedaron mirándome. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Les dije que llevaría mi costumbre a otra parte, nuevamente me miraron como si fuera de otro planeta.

Este lugar nunca decepciona, tuve eglefino sin gluten con papas fritas sin gluten, gran masa crujiente y pescado encantador. Los otros tenían eglefino normal y chips sin gluten. Realmente los disfrutaron. Volveremos de nuevo cuando en Guiseley.

Welcoming friendly and knowledgeable staff, (family run). Extensive menu plus a specials board! Food all cooked nice and fresh to order, they have no problem with preparing your food to your requirements and being as I am particularly fussy this is a massive bonus! (Well done chips, double fried sausage, 1st without batter then with batter etc) Prices are more than reasonable and the wait for food is never a lengthy one. Clean and tidy. Overall .... brilliant! Keep up the good work folks!

Now under a different name,as soon as you walk through the door you’re met with friendly faces from welcoming you to asking if you want fish or anything else cooked, everything is freshly cooked to order and as it’s always busy when you go in it certainly shows everyone thinks the same that fish and chips here are the best around,,pleasure to have a family run business like this in Guiseley

I have been coming for some time with my family. I'm never disappointed overall. The menu is like restaurant style but better . It'same quality high end fish and chips restaurant. Take family out to lovely fish chips Atkinson

The fish is always cooked on an individual basis and is therefore so hot and the batter so crisp.The menu is varied so giving customers a wide choice-- in fact something for everyone. The highlight is the genuine warm welcome given to all customers . This attitude from all the staff certainly encourages a return visit. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Nice to have a really good chippy in the area again. Far better and much better value than the enormous chip shop just up the road. The mum is teaching the lads well, can’t wait to go again.

Im just listening to my mums experience of her fish & chip supper from last night - from this fish shop. Shes so disappointed, the fish was in the shape of a block and was somehow brown underneath as if it had been flat fried. The chips were bits,chip ends - rather than big chunky chips and had black eyes all over. Im really sad for her and my son who were home alone and looking forward to their fish and chip treat. I wonder if it is because my 15 year old son was the one ordering & collecting the meal - im sure not? Its very sad as we live on the same road as the shop and would be so useful. My mum is astounded that she is actually complaining about a simple thing like fish and chips but listening to her I feel obliged to let the business know in hope of amending for the future. contructive criticism

We live close ,and stopped going some time ago ,but now under new management we gave then a go,Excellent fish&chips the best i have had in along time,The staff are very friendly,

We live very close to this fish & chip shop & have used it many times & never had a bad meal. Staff very friendly & look after you very well.

Having discovered the premises were under new management (we gave up going to the old shop as they were never open when we wanted them!) I called at 6.30 last Tuesday to find two very friendly staff in an empty shop. Apparently the footfall plans have not settled yet and some days have been busy in one week then quiet the next, apparently if I had called the day before there was great demand. Anyway, there is a wide choice of fish portion sizes (although only haddock is supplied) including mini meals so I ordered a standard and a mini meal with some extra peas. I also saw they did Spam with or without batter so had one of those too. Everything in the shop was obviously clean and tidy and with the helpful staff I was also pleasantly surprised to get a loyalty card which gave a 10% discount for ordering over £6 on future occasions. Once home both sizes of fish turned out to be really meaty and the batter very nicely cooked and not too much. The Spam fritter was a great treat although I appreciate it may not appeal to some people. Well done Atkinson's - I look forward to coming back soon.

Just wanted a snack so got the small fish and chips for £3.50. Possibly the nicest fish I've ever had. Thick and tasty and bigger than some "normal" sized fish in some shops. Great chips too. Friendly service, freshly cooked. What's not to like. Beats...

Unfortunately it closed down on August 19th, 2017. It was then refurbished and has now reopened with a new name and new management. No change to address or phone number.

Visited here with my partner and my sister for fish and chips. We've always come here since it opened and have recommended it to others. When we visited today we noticed it was under new management. A surprise but we decided to go in anyway....

Friendly service, ordered a portion of Fish and Chips which where made there and then. It is important to me not to be served a fish that sat there for 15min's! Also the Chips are made to perfection, not soggy, just right!!! I'll come back...

Been going to this fish and chip shop since moving here to Menston 2 years ago. It is much better than their local competition (Weatherby Whaler). They have a great discount card where you get 10% off. The staff are great. My only other comment...

'Fish n chip Friday' wouldn't be the same without a portion plus mushy peas from White Cross Fisheries. Always fresh and cooked to order with perfectly cooked chips. Try them...you won't be disappointed and great value too!

Found this on Google maps and it seemed a convenient place to stop for food on a visit to Guiseley for a football match. Free parking outside the shop. Prompt, friendly service from the young staff. Varied menu range if you don't just want fish....
