All staff are very friendly, especially the Landlord, he's spent a lot of money on the outdoor area at the rear of the pub,he's trying so hard to make a living, so good on yer mate 👍

Discovered this great pub and stayed for Sunday lunch. Such a warm welcome, fab service and tasty, well presented food. Added bonus its dog friendly and has a garden for when the sun shines! Needless to say we will be back!

We called in last night for an early drink and a meal. The barman was very welcoming and made us feel wanted. We ordered drinks and set up a tab (because we were eating). We shared a starter and ordered a chicken burger and the steak and ale pie. Both mains came with delicious home made chips and the main features were really good. The pie came with peas and carrots and was served on the hottest plate possible. 2 pints of Bolt Maker and 2 large Cabernet Sauvignon brought the bill to just over £50, a real value for money find. Highly recommended.

We ate here today after recommendations from locals in another pub. Great pub with friendly staff. Everywhere was clean and organised. Me and my kids popped in for lunch last week. Great place, delicious home made food ( big portions) and a very friendly barman. I recommend chicken burgers with extra cheese and bacon , 😋.

Whittaker Arms was a lovely warm and welcoming pub. The member staff that served us was really friendly and helpful. We ordered the homemade steak and ale pie with cheesy chips. The proportions of food were nicely balanced and were really tasty. Really enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back when we are visiting Otley.

The most delectable food possible. I had the chicken burger with wedges. The chicken burger was crispy and succulent, lettuce and tomato fresh and the chips cooked to perfection. All very fresh and fairly priced food! 10/10 would come again.

The pubs under new management and the new landlord and staff are friendly and has introduced a new menu, the food was all home cooked, piping hot and good value for money will be coming here again

They dont serve food. This needs to be updated.

How he reason I given this 4 stars is that there are quite a lot of signs saying no vaping but there was a person sat at the bar all the time I was there and she was vaping. Lady behind the bar not taking the slight bit of notice. But saying that nice pub and I'll be back again.

Can't fault this place, service & food was great.

Our table was close to the log burning stove so nice and warm, food was home cooked and sensibly priced. Had a good choice of real ales, lager and stouts to choose from. Food was served hot on a hot plate always a bonus on a winters day. Overall a great place for lunch and will definitely be going again. Highly recommended.

After a lengthy morning, I decided to take a break and indulge in a delightful meal. The hosts, Andy and Monica, were fantastic. Their warm hospitality made the public house in Otley, West Yorkshire, a truly charming destination. Nestled in a picturesque corner of the world, the experience was delightful. The mushrooms I savoured were exquisite, accompanied by a refreshing side salad with a lovely crunch. This establishment truly exceeded my expectations. Fantastic Otley pub with a great selection of Cask ales. A brilliant hidden garden at the back, which is the biggest in the centre of the town.

Down for the weekend from Sunderland to meet our son, daughter-in-law and Grandson. Called in for dinner (that's 12-1ish); not lunch! Typical old style pub, no aires or graces, well maintained in a traditional style. Really friendly staff willing to go an extra mile to meet our daughter's needs. Food was fantastic, a proper Sunday dinner. Can't wait to go back (oh and to see grandson naturally).

A small pub on the main street Otley never been in before a friendly wellcome from landlord and agood selection of beers and largers chose guest beer excellent the place was busy (saturday evening early) but a nice atmosphere and good ambiance.

My wife and I first went to whitakers a few months ago and now we can no longer stay away. The staff are lovely and the food is gorgeous. Sunday lunch is mouth watering.

Seems a nice place for a casual drink, friendly bar staff and local regulars. Catering a different story. Slow and indifferent food service. Not everything available from menu. 45 minute waiting time, a degrading lecture from the chef as opposed to an apology. Could easily have turned into a ‘scene’. Only passing through the town so not likely to be back but travellers beware, there are other nice looking venues available.

Came here with a friend for a mid week lunch, cheap prices, cheerful staff and lovely home made food! I had the lasagne which I can highly recommend, along with cheesy chips which were equally as tasty!! My friend had the chicken fajitas which were absolutely delicious and had the other diners with plate envy!! Large beer garden to the rear which is lovely in summer!!! Would return and recommend to friends!

Nice old school feel pub with some nice ales and seems to be popular with regulars who know each other and the bar staff. Got booked in for Sunday lunch and it was really good. Got a large meal with mixed meats and all were tasty as were the Yorkshire and roasts.

Service brilliant.Staff very friendly and helpful.Food very good .Plenty of it and a good price.Only thing to complain about was the sauces on the bar which were un covered and near the customers getting served at the bar.But every thing else was spot on.

We were made to feel welcome from the start the landlord moved tables together for us put on Tamla Motown (our kind of music!) .The kitchen had closed but on hearing we were hungry him & his lovely wife Monica surprised us with plates of sandwiches. How lovely that they appreciated our custom. Have to say all the bar staff were marvellous remembered our order & carried our drinks back to table. Thanks to you all you made our day. See you again.

Fab Sunday dinner and friendly service! Jack and Issac were excellent at looking after us and we had a massive Sunday roast. Something for everyone- vegetarian, kids and a full meat feast. Great quality and the chef made us some excellent veggie alternatives. Huge portions, great value for money and a great place for a Sunday afternoon

We called in at this pub a few weeks ago and said then we would come back one Sunday for lunch. We went today and were not disappointed. The staff were so friendly. The food was exceptional. Everything was piping hot,including the plates. We had tried to book but the phone number, on this site, is wrong. Please note the number you need is 01943 968020. We just decided to go anyway and try. The friendly staff were great. They did find us a table and couldn't have been more attentive. RECOMMENDED.

Second time here and just as good as first time, Emily was fantastic. 2 cracking meals, glass of wine, a glass of coke, all for a smidgen over £20. Without doubt the best place to visit and eat in Otley.
