Went in for some take away lunch...portion of chips which wasn't too big, curry sauce and 2 small fish bites £6.40, far too expensive really for what was given.

Just had fish and chips from here as our usual was closed. Wish I hadn’t bothered, the food was incredibly greasy, tasted like it had been sat around for a while. Some of the chips were under cooked. Service was very friendly however.

Popped in last Thursday night about 9 o'clock whilst working a late shift. First time in this area i had Fish, Chips and Mushy peas, absolutely fantastic. Many thanks.

We had our small wedding reception here 25 years ago, and it is still as nice for the food and service

Great chip shop, service is normally quick And the Cakes are one of the best ive ever had, fantastic Athough i live well out of the area, i phoned to make an order to be collected later in the day, that even wasnt a problem, straight in order was ready and waiting. Will always be using them whenever im in the area.

Visited restaurant for first time in many years after working away. Food, service and staff excellent.

Called in as I was passing (not from the area) but I enjoyed my fish, chips & peas, the bread cake was fresh & the staff friendly 4⭐

This is by far the worst chip shop I have been to in a long time, I usually go to the great chippies in Otley. I should of actually left as soon as I walked in as the smell was not of fresh fish n chips but old oil that as been fryed over and over, why I didn't leave then I don't know... I decided to order fish bites and chips which actually ended up in the garden for the crows, they were horrid, tasted of old oil/fat... Will never go back there! The lady who served was lovely and very friendly, not her fault the food is horrible!

We had take out one afternoon recently. Very enjoyably tasty too. The fishcakes are exceptional, and make a meal on their own. Huge and the same as when I was a nipper.

Popped in tonight fish was cooked absolutely perfect and the chips wasn't undercooked they was spot on as was the peas brilliant keep it up best fish and chips I had in a long time

Nice food, chips can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. They do offer gluten free batter but it will end up costing you extra. Friendly helpful staff.

I don't really know what to say other than it's a lovely little shop. I only use the takeaway bit, but they are lovely, the staff seem very nice and welcoming. The food is lovely and it's very easy to park so what more do you need. I would definitely recommend using this place for fish and chips 😊😊

They were disgusting, tasted like they’d been cooked in mucky fat, left a bad after taste. The batter was like a sponge & really greasy. They didn’t deserve 1 star 🤮🤮

Decent chippy, always has people going in and out. It has inside seating but I've never seen anyone in there.....

Some of my chips slightly under cooked, so I ended up leaving the rest of the chips. On a good note, the curry sauce 👌

Very nice fish and large portion, which is reflected in the price. Just a shame the server comes across the way she does , a smile and a thank you might just help. Wonder what happened to the really friendly bubbly lady who used to work here? She was lovely.

Went into order & service was good. Sadly the quality of the food was atrocious. The cod (or whatever fish it was) was overly battered & full of big bones – completely inedible. Chips initially looked okay but then found many were scorched & others uncooked. One of us had a pie and the pastry was stale. This was the 2nd time we tried them as the 1st time wasn’t great, but this was worse & most of it went in the bin so unfortunately we won’t be bothering again.

This is a nice place. The size of the chips have reduced a little bit and the fish was broken in two when I opened the package, but it’s still nice overall. I would come back here and have used this place several times over the years.

To say it is not at the seaside, it's expensive. How ever the fish is good, but the chips are hit and miss!!! To make it better, the boss needs to train the server on how to smile, after all a smile should come free of charge!!!

Absolutely terrible. Dry reheated chips and cold fish. Please avoid. I even rung up to complain and was told by the old woman who answered ' Well it is not my business!' How unprofessional and what a response. The boss should be so proud of his quality and staff!!!!!

Had a take out this morning.I asked for a jumbo haddock lightly battered.Well what we were presented with looked like a chocolate brown cemented piece of dry fish! The batter you could have sliced a finger off just under £20 for both of us Dreadful.

Great little fish and chip shop, highly recommended, prices about average for fish and chips these days. Only 2 allowed in shop atm due to Covid restrictions, food is always cooled well and is tasty (not too much batter on fish), not too greasy and good portion sizes.

We use Westfield Fisheries at least a couple of times a month. The prices are good, the quality of the food is decent and they do excellent gluten free fish and chips. The food is cooked fast so the waiting time is never too long. They've put good Covid measures in place to ensure people's safety. I would definitely recommend them as a cheap and cheerful local chip shop.

Ordered over the phone was quoted £17 then went in got charged £21. Got there and the woman had to take my order again and then I took it and walked home (about 20 minutes walk) opened the bag to find that I had been charged for 3 fish and chips (I ordered 2) and my children’s meal and sausage (which I was charged for) was missing. This place used to be great but now is very overpriced, lower quality and bad service from the front of house staff. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star was because the lad on the phone who was so helpful and offered to amend the order if I came back but it was too far and it’s freezing outside so I left it. Used to be the best around now I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Update the food I could not eat it was simply nasty

Sorry but this place(no pun) has gone down hill. Overpriced(to pay for the new signage) and soggy fish with cardboard chips. I know they can do better because we've had better!

A bit hit and miss I think it's generally good but not consistent. Go at busy times that's when they're at their best

Really dirty, uncooked food, food lefted in there all day the staff dont wash there hands, and the back room disgusting with rat possoin down.

My wife went to fisheries and we ate in the car a very good fish & chip.I highly recommend you try and large portions and strict social distance and mask required only 2 people can enter at a time.The Fish was cooked as requested lightly battered and it was delicious.5 star

No lo recomendaría, la masa estaba demasiado cocida por fuera y estaba húmeda y empapada en el medio, lo que hacía que el pescado fuera pobre, raspó la masa y se comió el pescado que estaba demasiado cocido o básicamente el pescado pasó demasiado tiempo bajo el calor y no fresco. Las patatas fritas estaban bastante buenas, los guisantes blandos demasiado líquidos. Puedes mejorar mucho en otros lugares y cerca. Y aquí tampoco es barato.

Normally get take away and normally acceptable. Not today, chips are like a week old, horrible!!!!! fish cakes on display looked beautiful, get home n this was not what was on display it like it's been sat in there for a month, not what I could see on display...well disappointed... shame on you!!!?

Easy to drive past, not realizing what a gem this place is. Most queue past here to join the queue for the car park at a much larger but poorer place on the White Cross roundabout. They are missing out on good food and great value. My wife and I came here for lunch on Monday after xmas. Such good value. £8.95 for three courses, starter, excellent Haddock and chips with mushy peas , bread and butter, followed by choice of dessert (we were to full to have that). Plus pot with 3 cups of tea or coffee each. For £8.95.Dont miss out and queue for sub standard fare, call in here.

I can't remember ever finding a bone from a fish and chip shop in 40 years!

We have a need for gluten free food, they take that need seriously, don't cross contaminate and cook it fast. Plus it tastes great!

Fish tasted very fishy but ate it anyway. Big mistake , I was sick for 5 days !! Never again. This was from the takeaway side of the business.

Oh dear. Had a takeaway from here. Fish cake, chips and a drink for 6.30. That is very expensive for what is mostly potatoes. The chips were lumpy and chewy with little taste. The fish cake was all cake and little fish. Despite loving my fish and chips and always supporting local I simply could not stomach it. See photo. Considering the vast choice of takeaways on offer in this area I'm surprised this particular one is still open.

Only Haddock available, batter not to the wife's taste but I found it ok, staff need to find their get up n go as it seemed to have got up and gone, when ordering was advised that it was a choice of chips or peas??? First time I heard that before, Will not be returning

Very disappointed with the quality of our fish supper.The fish tasted as though it had been cooked earlier in the day and then reheated for our order.VERY crunchy batter and extremely oily.

What a great little fish restaurant this is,my wife and I have been here many times and never been disappointed, it's a fully licensed restaurant although the choice of alcohol is limited the food is great all served by friendly staff, if you have not been here give it a try it has a seating capacity of about 30+ , off road parking for about 10 car's
