Saturday 13 July 2024 Things Guiesley fish and chip shop is one of yhe great fish shops on Yorkshire that is un spoilt. This fish shop serves propper fisher and chips with pork dripping, and it is a fantastic Tic fisheries are spoilt by the times of the country's human changes😀😀😀

Lovely little chippy right next to the car park we used. Nice friendly staff and reasonably priced. Decent portion size, though there is only one chip portion size. If I'm in Guiseley again, which I know I will be; I know exactly where I'm going to get something eat

Fifteen minutes before their advertised closing time, the server deliberately kept me waiting whilst she counted all the money in the till, even though the chips were in the range ready to serve. I only wanted a portion of chips, nothing more. After 6 or 7 minutes of waiting to get served, I decided not to bother and went somewhere else to buy something to eat.

Wonderful traditional fish and chips, never disappoints.

The fish and chips are great to eat the owners are very friendly I have used all the fish and chip shops over the years in yeadon and guiseley and I have found that springfield fish and chip shop is the best the rest are rubbish poor fish and poor chips

Decent fish and chips. Fish is tasty, well cooked and batter is nice. Ive not tried anything else but they do usual stuff plus chicken. Fish and chips is expensive now everywhere but Springfield is a bit cheaper than most. They also do special deals at certain times and days. The only thing I'd complain about is the opening times which is about the same many traditional fish and chip shops to be fair but there's been many a time when Ive passed by when its closed and wanted a meal.

Good experience here, staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was good, not the best around but still good enough for a quick dish.

Called in as was in area, found on Google, just off main road but not seen it before, would recommend 5⭐

Some place this! All I hear from friends who know these parts is go to the Whaler or Murgatroyds but I ignore them cos this place is unreal! The fish oh my days and the chips as well as good as anywhere I've been. Decent prices too! Long live Springfields off the main road!

After a full 6 hours watching cricket at Guiseley CC my mate & I fancied chips. Arrived at 7.30pm on the dot, didn't see the sign outside saying they'd closed and went in. The lady & gent inside more than happy to serve us. Never heard of a parsley cake so tried one with chips. My mate went for fish & chips. Cooked fresh. They gave us a complimentary potato scallop each. Good portions. Very friendly and respect for still serving us. Found some benches in a garden area outside Morrisons to tuck in. Parsley cake is minced fish, parsley & pepper in batter. Very impressed. Quality chips. My mate said the fish was good, looked a decent size. With hindsight should have gone for some brown sauce but such is life. If you're in the Guiseley area & fancy something plus chips would definitely recommend calling in. Very impressed. Not relevant to us but there was a notice saying gluten-free available.

We were just passing through and fancied fish & chips. I googled and ended up here. The staff were super friendly and the fish & chips were the best we’ve had in a long time. They had a lunchtime special of fish, chips and either mushy peas or curry for £5 which is outstanding value. We went for the standard and agin brilliant value. Highly recommend. Clearly popular with the locals as the lady serving knew most of her customers.

We had the £5 lunchtime special on Friday. It was a good portion size, the fish is slightly smaller than usual, hence the great value price, with just the right amount of chips & the best mushy peas I’ve ever tasted. I really couldn’t fault it at all, there was no scrappy chips, the fish was lightly battered & really tasty, & all at a bargain price.

Good portion sizes and good value can even buy off trims for the cat

Fantastic fish and chips all cooked fresh, tables to sit at outside when it warm and dry, I can highly recommend the fish bites with chips the children's portion is more than enough for small eaters.

Never been here before! Lunchtime special medium fish and chips with curry sauce or peas, £5. Tastes great just fish looked very small otherwise I'd have given 5 🌟

Amazing fresh food cooked to order. I tried a small pot of chip shop curry sauce tonight for the first time with my fish and chips, it was the best curry sauce I have ever tasted. A small family business who go above and beyond. I rate this fish and chip shop 10 out of 10

Fish and chips are great .but to pay for the plastic bags ! Other chipped and takeaways use paper bags and don't charge you.

Please note this is now Midgleys .Due to Covid restrictions all customers are required to wear a mask . It’s a bit small in the shop itself so it’s reliant on us the customers to be aware of the regulations that surround us and maintain social distancing . It was well worth the wait . Haven’t had fish and chips for a while and received a good portion . The fish was perfect and a good portion of chips . Will definitely visit here again . PS I remained in the car due to disability and a family member from my bubble went in the shop

Didn't get asked for salt and vinegar, which is the number one question in a chippy on my chips and if I wanted to eat it now or to take away.

Never had anything less than first class fish and chips from here since the new owners first opened. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming and wow, they know exactly how to cook fish to perfection! Generous portions, fish is succulent with crisp delicious batter and chips are chunky and fluffy. Anywhere else seems like second best now (including the two well-known fish restaurants in Guiseley and Yeadon!). Give golden stars, well deserved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was served by a female who didn't smile once but was polite. Had asked for small portion of peas with the food and didn't realise till I got to my mums that both I and the assistant had forgotten the peas. I had ordered just chips and to be honest far from the best. Looked and tasted like they had been cooked all day long and it was 6.30pm when I ordered. My mum said her fish was nice. I won't be visiting again while I'm down guiseley. I'll stick to my usual in Yeadon and take them to my mums in Guiseley. Extremely disappointed as it was my treat for my mum to give her a night off cooking.

Tremendous I popped in here on my way home from work desperate for a family meal because I was too tired to cook. Fish and chips for 4. The service was excellent. I was served by a young blond lad who was simply excellent so if you are his boss then please make sure you pass on the compliment as he was brilliant at his job. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and beautifully soft and flaky on the inside. The chips were firm and fluffy at the same time, cooked to perfection, plenty of them and delicious. To say I went here purely because I noticed they were open and I was not expecting much, I was absolutely stunned by the quality of the food I got from here and I am really hard to please. Will TOTALLY be coming back for my next portion. Highly recommend.

By far the best fish around, and the owners are a great set of people. I went tonight completely unaware that they had already closed, but despite them trying to clean up and shut, they went out of their way to restart everything and sort me out with fish and chips! Unbelievable customer service, especially when they could understandably have said no. I honestly can't recommend them enough.
