Food excellent and staff ace new menu and we need to try more but what ever we have it’s always great 10/10

Staying local and called for drinks a couple of days (with some starters) and then Sunday lunch today (Easter Sunday) service has been great on each visit with lovely staff. Food on each occasion has been superb! Would highly recommend! Will definitely be back when staying local again.

We went on Friday night for food and live music. The food was gorgeous, the staff were brilliant and the live music was amazing. Such a fantastic atmosphere.

Called in at the George & Dragon in our way back to Tunstall having spent a very cold day in Hornsea. The staff were so friendly. The Landlady put us on a table close to the open fire. The food was excellent, compliments to the chef. My husband had the sirloin steak with all the trimmings followed by chocolate fudge cake and cream. I had the steak pie which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely call again when we are in this area.

Came for a family birthday meal. Food was good & hot even if it did take almost 50 mins to arrive. Poor lass serving was rushed off her feet as only her, looked to me like they needed more staff on given it was a bank holiday. Most of the deserts ordered were enjoyed but sadly despite being on the menu and the girl when asked confirming they had it we were told after all the other deserts had arrived it was going to be another 15 mins for that. For what is a cold desert this is poor but half an hour later to be told it’s still cooking something went wrong there. Clearly the ingredients for it wasn’t available which means it shouldn’t be on the menu! At least we should be told it’s not available when asking if it was. We gave up on it and left in the end as all the rest in the party were ready to leave. Poor planning on someone’s part there! but other than the huge disappointment this brought to not be able to have it the rest of the meal was good.

Tenía el cordero asado el domingo y los recortes, el cordero era una porción generosa, gruesa y tierna, el mejor cordero que hemos tenido en años. Las verduras también. El hongo Stroganoff tenía demasiada cebolla y fue decepcionante. No hay mucha opción vegetariana, necesito al menos otra opción. Todos disfrutaron de los postres, estaban muy buenos. El servicio era bueno, las camareras eran conversadoras y divertidas.

We decided to pop in for lunch as the cafe owners had launched a new menu. All I can say is wow! We had burgers and chips plus a big slab of cake for dessert. Even our vegetarian 11year old daughter enjoyed the food and she is really picky. Thank you we will be back again.

A gorgeous country pub, with a truly homely vibe. Fantastic service from all the staff, and they were so welcoming to us and our dogs. The food was delicious - I highly recommend the Open Chicken Kiev! If I had to find one criticism, it would be that the tables in the dog-friendly area were perhaps not very well planned out, as where I was sat would have been unmanageable if someone had been seated at the table behind me, and we pushed the table as far in so my husband could sit to it, but this subsequently trapped him in the booth-style seat, and I spent a lot of the time nervously eyeing up people with dogs in the hope they wouldn't be seated there. This is the only reason it's got a 4 and not a 5 star review. Apart from that minor issue, we will 100% be back to try more tasty food. Thank you!

Nice welcome friendly staff. Limited gluten free options staff were unsure if items could be adapted to be gluten free. They said there was a risk of cross contamination so not suitable for ceolliac. Food that we had was well cooked and tasty.

Nice glass of wine in the sunshine surprised it was now a Chinese restaurant.

Advertised as £10 bottle of processco not the case false advertising said processco weekend was charged £17 for bottle plus pint lager. When asked was told is had changed if it had changed then should have a notice up saying so

We arrived later than our booking due to traffic , the team at nags head was very friendly and welcoming , there was 13 of us the food came out within half an hour and was excellent. Thank you We will be back
