Went last night 4 10 24 for steak night could not fault anything. Food beautiful staff brilliant. Compliements to the chef. Will be back. Thank you.

Went for Sunday Lunch, all I can say is that it was disappointing everything seemed to be warmed up the roast potatoes were sad and hard the Yorkshire puddings were burnt and dry, all in all not a good experience

Really good value steak night. Family friendly on a Friday night. Staff excellent. More than just a golf club. Excellent as always guys.

A party of ten have just had Sunday lunch. We didn't have to wait long for our food as we pre-ordered, A quiet, comfortable and lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent as was the service. Had a good fun rapore and service from Alan and staff. Our first time here but it will not be our last. Thank you all for a welcoming experience.

6 of us went to the restaurant and shown to a lovely table close to the window. The staff were lovely, they were polite & friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was served quickly and was tasty with everything on warm plates. Puddings were enjoyed and we were not rushed. The restaurant didn’t seem too busy and had a lovely atmosphere. Good value for money. We’ll be back.

We brought a party of 28 in for Lunch on Friday 15th March 2024. The service was excellent nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the food was superb. It was our first visit and we would highly recommend the restaurant. Brian and Pauline Jennison Bilton Social Circle

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday lunchtime, along with a couple of friends. There were a few other diners and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant being the week between Christmas and New Year. The prices are also very reasonably priced for such a beautiful restaurant in the stunning surroundings of the golf course. The food was excellent as always and the service first class. I would highly recommend the restaurant and hopefully will return very soon.

visited for steak nite on a Friday and can say it was quite easily the best value meal around. upgraded to fillet and it was perfect. the place is so understated its unreal. it was quite quiet and I asked the waiter so when we tried booking online it looked like it was sold out. but they're a chef down so had disabled the online booking. with some more advertising it could be full every Friday with the quality and value of the food. the service was really good too. only thing missing was a seat knife but we didn't need one for the fillet as it was perfect! will be returning on a regular basis as its cheaper to eat out here than buy and cook at home!

We have visited the restaurant on numerous occasions over the past four years and always receive a friendly welcome. We dined on a Wednesday lunch time and the food was first class. The young waiting staff were very pleasant and efficient and the prices are very reasonable. We always enjoy our visits and hopefully will be back soon. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Excellent food and excellent service Came here for a birthday meal with a lot of family members. They was all soo accommodating and helpful throughout the experience. Everyone said how beautiful the food was and was all served very quickly with no one waiting. Looking forward to returning again.

Unusual spot in that it has a small number of tables on the back of a golf club bar. Food was fine - I had the steak which had been pan fried rather than flame grilled so not quite how I would normally have it, but it had been generously seasoned so still came out well.

This restaurant is excellent - nice and relaxed with lovely food. It was a birthday celebration two of us had the sea bass which was delicious but the highlight for me was the portions of fresh veg - not your usual peas with a few carrots but cauli, broccoli, carrots and green beans which were cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

First visit to this restaurant, where my husband and I enjoyed delicious food. The Sea bass, beautifully cooked and presented on leeks and mushrooms, with fresh vegetables. Sirloin Steak with chips, onion rings, tomato and mushroom. The sauce Au Poivre complemented it perfectly. Finishing off the meal with Tiramisu cake and cream. We received impeccable service from Becky, and look forward to returning in the near future to sample more from the menu.

Called them on Saturday afternoon to see if they could accommodate 14 of us they said yes but there maybe a wait for food we arrived shown to our table and drinks order took straight away they did make us aware at booking some things may not be available starters came in no time red hot and beautiful didn’t have to wait long at all for our mains, one steak did need to go back nothing to do with the chef just one of friends does r know how to eat steak lol, service and food excellent

First time at this place, staff pleasant and helpful, restaurant light and spacious, there were six of us and we all enjoyed our meals, delicious.

We decided to give this place a try for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration and we booked a table for ten people on a Saturday night. It was the right decision with all six adults and four children being well pleased with both the main course and desserts and returning ten clean plates from both our courses, so nothing to take home for the dogs! There were three vegetarians among us and they had a good selection to choose from, and the carnivores among us were also presented with a good variety of options. We didn't have starters, so I can't comment on them, but I would imagine it would be similar, judging by what we were served with. The bottom line is excellent food, in a pleasant and roomy space with a good selection of menu options at a reasonable price, all served by attentive staff and plenty of on-site parking. We'll be returning next time we want to dine out.

What a perfect place this is to celebrate any occasion, visited last Friday, staff absolutely first class, food cooked to perfection. All four of us had different meals, Sea Bass, Hunters Chicken, Beef Stroganoff and Chicken and Ham Pie, absolutely delicious and all complemented with a beautiful selection of vegetables. My wife and I each finished the meal with mixed berry cheesecakes and ice cream which were superb! Lovely selection of beers, cider and wine's and a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all! We visited the restaurant whilst on a family holiday near Withernsea. Staff were really friendly and helpful, food was very nice, really generous portions and good value.

Our friends invited us for an evening out and suggested we visited this restaurant, we were a little unsure but agreed to join them.....What an experience, food cooked to perfection, excellent choices, wine first class, sweets absolutely beautiful, staff so friendly, polite, welcoming and efficient. What an evening, will we be returning? 1000%! The atmosphere is first class and both my wife and l were so impressed with everything. We booked a birthday lunch for 12 based on reviews as we had never been to Nineteen before. The chef arranged a special 3-course menu for our party. Becky was fantastic and helped with all the arrangements. We were not disappointed. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and well presented. For starters we had scampi with salad, creamy garlic mushrooms and soup. The roast beef dinner came with plenty of assorted vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The steak pie was enormous and deep filled, with chunky chips and vegetables. The children’s meal was a good sized portion. We chose an amazing cheesecake, with fresh fruit and cream, sticky toffee pudding and custard and chocolate fudge cake as our desserts. The staff were so prompt and very obliging. I really could not fault the place and we will be visiting again soon.

First time here , need to book table because of covid, Friendly staff , food was nice but maybe could do with slightly more on the plate,, felt a nuisance asking have you got this have you got that as not set out on table, but all in all not a bad experience.

We had a wonderful night with 30 family members for our 60th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was terrific and they attended to every request with a smile. Thank you to all concerned

Another lovely meal served piping hot by very friendly waitreses . This time went for the steak specials with a bottle of wine the steak was lovely and cooked perfectly. We have been many times and the food and service never alters we will soon be back.

We came as quite a big party for our Christmas do! It was just our party in the night we came which was really nice. I felt that we were really well looked after by the staff. The food was really nice and hot and we were all served really quickly. We had a lovely evening and I’m sure that we will be back. I would highly recommend this venue especially if they have peppermint tea next time we go.

Every year at least 20 of us have our annual family get together here, and every year is as good, if not better than the last, you could not get better treatment, food and value for money anywhere else, thankyou once again to them all

Been here many a time, decided to pop for a Sunday dinner and as always fantastic. The service from Alan and his team are always on point and the the food is beautiful, highly recommended.

This is a lovely Restaurant to have lunch. We have been many times and have tried most meals on the menu and have never been disappointed. The meat pie and the beef stew are amazing, but really we are spoilt for choice with all the menu. All the meals are reasonably priced and served in very pleasant surroundings. The staff are welcoming and friendly and so pleased this restaurant is open to the public as we don’t play golf!

After just moved into burstwick we tried the nineteen restaurant and it was absolutely delicious..we have been back quite a lot shall we say and never had a bad meal the staff are very friendly and welcoming..definitely recommend the steak pie.

Food here is brilliant! Staff are lovely and very accommodating, always tell you about the menu and what to try!! Steak pie is amazing, Sunday dinner is gorgeous and the deserts are yummy!! Brilliant prices too....definitely recommend.

We visited a few weeks ago on a Saturday lunch time with friends and were greeted by Laura, who was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is lovely, very nicely decorated. I had the ploughman’s, it was very good. My husband had a burger, excellent and our friends had the steak pie and chicken and ham pie, all excellent. Our friends booked the next day with their daughter for the Sunday lunch and advised it was first class. We visited the Sunday after with my mother, who was very impressed with the food and decor of the restaurant. We will be back again, thanks to the lovely staff.

Booked here for Sunday lunch having read reviews online. We weren’t disappointed. The welcome from all the staff was great and they really looked after us. The restaurant is housed in a single story clubhouse at the Burstwick Country Golf Club. Having passed the golf shop and cosy bar area, we were shown to a table overlooking the golf course and given the menu. Great value at £8.50, £12 and £15 for one, two or three courses. Having ordered drinks, we chose our food. I had soup (tomato and basil) which came with a roll; my husband selected Yorkshire puddings with gravy - the gravy here is delicious and worthy of a mention. For main, I had the roast beef dinner, which came with new and roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, green beans and broccoli plus a Yorkshire pudding and the gorgeous gravy. The meat was tender and beautifully cooked. My husband had chosen the steak pie with chips and the same veg. He reported that the pie had both top and bottom, was very tasty and enjoyed everything on his plate. He followed with treacle sponge and custard which although not homemade, was lovely. I finished with a coffee and mints. £30 for our meals and drinks - a bargain and recommended.

Nice ambience, had a really lovely meal we have been back since our first visit And it was just as good the second time. The staff are friendly and efficient.

We have heard about this restaurant a few times but always thought that it must be for members only. After a quick search on the internet we realised that it was open to the public too. Thursday night we telephone to make a booking and arrived at the restaurant at about 8pm.

Just returned from the restaurant after treating my mum to a lovely Sunday lunch for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious, we had the option of 2 or 3 courses but we all opted for 2 think we would have been too full for 3 courses! Mum got a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival which was a nice touch. We all were very complimentary about the food and it overlooks the golf course so we had nice views. The staff were very friendly too. Mum really enjoyed it and would definitely go back again.

Nice food in nice surroundings just about sums this place up. Nothing special but nothing to get upset about. The word Nice springs to mind!!

Been going for a long time but it just gets better and better! Went Sunday a Roast and Sea Bass ordered bother perfect. Went for the steak night deal tonight and it was lovely again. Great staff and service certainly worth a visit.

Had a great Sunday lunch with the family. My choice was the steak pie with veg and new potatoes. Great choice. I have had a few pies in my time, from all around East Yorkshire, and this was the best. Very tender meat and a nice pastry top.

Visited the Nineteen restaurant for Sunday Lunch with the family. What can I say? - A warm welcome from the staff, after which family and I were given a nice table position, which looked out onto the course's first tee.

We celebrated my parents 70th birthday with Alan, Laura and the team. Couldnt fault the service, from the initial planning stages to the final minutes of the party. Excellent service, great welcoming atmosphere - definately recommend for all types of parties.

This is a great place to visit. We had the early evening menu with two courses for £10. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were lovely and I highly recommend Cafe Nineteen.

Took our Mum for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Both the roast beef and roast chicken meals were delicious - good portions with plenty of extra gravy and vegetables . Great choice of desserts - the passion fruit cheesecake was amazing. The food and drinks were exceptional value and the staff were efficient but very friendly.Would recommend

We have visited quite a few times - usually for Sunday lunch for family birthdays. Latest visit on 14th Feb, for dad-in-law's birthday, certainly did not disappoint. Lovely, friendly staff who provide excellent service. Elegant surroundings and delicious food that is good value for money (£12.50 for 3 courses) What more could you ask for???!

Visited this venue for the first time at the weekend for an evening meal, three courses, all very tasty & faultless, piping hot too!Staff were attentive without being in your face and both of the waitresses were very nice & helpful, in fact they were a credit to this venue.I quite fancy a revisit to check out the tea time menu, the only thing I thought was a little strange was the atmosphere.... But it is a sporting venue!, perhaps a little more music & less TV may be beneficial. Overall, very pleased with the visit.

After months of careful planning and conversation with Laura ( golf club angel ) we finally celebrated my brother and sister in laws long awaited marriage last saturday at Burstwick Golf Club, what can I say except it was perfect!!!!!Everything we asked for was done and nothing was too much trouble.We even turned up 90 minutes earlier than planned ( due to excellent traffic and short ceremony ) and they coped with us magnificently!I cannot praise these people enough and would not hesitate to strongly recommend them The meal was amazing too - chicken dinner and chocolate fudge cake mmmmmm Thank you so so much Laura and team you were wonderful xx

Held my mother's 80th birthday party here. Laura and her team could not do enough for us right from the planning up to the party. We opted for home made carrot and corriander soup to start, which was absolutely delicious, a buffet which was tailored to our requirements and consistently replenished throughout, cheesecake was the dessert option with coffee and mints to follow. All the food was delicious, beautifully presented and served by friendly helpful staff. There was a wide range of ages at the party and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would not hesitate in recommending Cafe Nineteen either for a celebration or a meal out.

Our group of golfers had a two course meal here as part of a golf package. We were all pleased with the meal and service. The package was great value for money and for those who like their golf, this is worth a visit. It is a relatively new course but is maturing very quickly and the condition was excellent

We have visited the cafe on several occasions for lunch with my wife's father. The friendliness of the staff and the standard of the meals are consistently good.

We chose this caravan club certified location for a weekend out with our motor home because it was was a country golf club With resturaunt on site too. We booked at the restaurant for Friday evening and Sunday lunch and were absolutely delighted at the meals served, the service we received from the resturaunt staff and the general surroundings. The evening menu was really good, and all the food was fresh, well prepared and presented and served with a big smile by the two young people serving. Sunday lunch was really good too with plenty of variety on the plate, portions were so generous we couldn't manage the desert. We were very surprised at the reasonable cost for the quality of food and service and even more surprised to be given a 10% discount as we were staying on the caravan club CL. Additional to this the caravan site was really lovely too with lots of space for 5 units ! we had a beautiful view of a bright yellow rapeseed oil crop for the weekend and watching the wildlife excellent at £8/night.Lovely chill out weekend with excellent great food at very reasonable prices, our only sadness was there was no one else enjoying the CL and only one other party eating in the restaurant... Try it out people sure you would be delighted too!

We came to Cafe Nineteen to celebrate my dads 70th Birthday. As there was a few of us I was asked to email our food choices before we arrived- one of our family members had special dietry requirements and the staff were extremely helpful to cater for them. The food was delicious and good size portions. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and like all the staff made us feel very welcomed. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back. We arrived for Sunday Lunch at 12 noon. Nobody in other than a couple of golfers at the bar. We were directed to our table, chose starters, my wife needed to be Gluten Free, Fat Free. Tomato soup was the only choice, we both ordered the same. It arrived and my wife's came without the bread but no substitute! I took a spoonful and mine and was stone cold, never seen a microwave. It was taken away and was given another piping hot soup,but no spoon was brought with it after taking the other away! My wife had finished hers by now. We ordered roast pork for my wife, with Gluten Free gravy!!! Wonderful. I had beef, very good. We asked for a sweet, only ice cream was gluten free and no choice of different teas!!The cold soup was taken off the bill,and we came home for peppermint tea and homemade flapjack. The noise got increasingly worse as the meal went on with about 9 golfers drinking,laughing next to the dining tables next to the bar. Not a place for a quiet Sunday meal. At least in a proper restaurant,everybody is eating! Not to be revisited during daylight hours.

We came last night to Cafe Nineteen, think there was around fifty people, we all had a set christmas menu and each course had three options so there really was something for everyone. The food was lovely and portions were generous...chocolate truffle cheesecake is devine! Staff are lovely and very helpful. Will definitely be back! Brilliant.

We have a caravan at Sand Le Mere and were looking for somewhere nice to take the in-laws out for dinner (and the children). We hadn't booked anywhere and the first few places I phoned were full. Saw this on Trip Advisor and they had space. Be warned, it is not very well signed and we drove straight past it. We're always a bit nervous about taking the children out in the evening, but immediately felt welcome. The menu was very varied with good vegetarian choices. My veggie children had the macaroni cheese and it looked really good, though I think it could just be served with veg, not chips! Our meals were brilliant and the portions were a good size. The only reason that I haven't given them 5 stars is there was a long wait between the courses. We are looking forwards to going back again, hopefully in daylight, so we can see the golf course.

My husband and I went to Café Nineteen for a wedding anniversary meal. Everyone was very friendly. We do not belong the club and therefor did not know anyone.We both found the food to be excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection and very enjoyable.The restaurant itself is very comfortable and welcoming, and we shall certainly be returning.

We were looking for somewhere local and special to celebrate our anniversary. The food here is wonderful and of good quality. The service was friendly and really well paced - we felt neither hurried or forgotten. We'll definitely visit again.

I would just like to say, myself and my wife visited cafe nineteen last Sunday for Sunday lunch on the off chance for a meal. I am pleased to say we were in luck while settling down to a three course meal and a few drinks in a nice quiet surrounding which suited my wife and myself, the food arrived and my wife commented on the presentation of the food and said it was lovely and nicely presented, The main meals were also excellent and to round it all off a very nice treacle sponge pudding again excellent, staff were very friendly and warm so in all a very nice Sunday afternoon out and we will certainly be visiting again in the near future for a meal on a night time visit. 5 stars for us excellent and very affordable to.

Went here for the first time midweek, the food is freshly cooked and fabulous, I had 2 fish courses and they were excellent. The surroundings are lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were shown to some comfy sofa's to peruse the menu's overlooking the golf course, very nice! We did have a bit of a wait between courses but that's to be expected when it's freshly cooked. My husband had the pan fried lamb and he said it was the best food he'd had in ages, (dining out, no reflection on my cooking)! The price was very good too, will definitely be going back soon. Called in for lunch on wet Saturday with family. Baby friendly First visit but will return. Lovely clean dining area with rural views. Friendly staff who were all very accommodating. Food was excellent quality and inexpensive with large portions. Sensible prices all round. 5 main courses with beer and wine was £45.Tea time offers and a la carte available.Hopefully this place will succeed as there are a lack of quality venues in this areaGive this venue a chance

The portion sizes were generous, had chicken goujons to start they were delicious, had the burstwick burger for a main with chips, was 2 patties in the burger was only expecting one, this homemade chips were delicious. Another member of my party had the steak pie I had to taste the gravy which was amazing probably best gravy ever.The service was really good didn't have to wait long for food and staff were very friendly. The views of the course from our table were lovely, is a nice place to just chill out with a drink. Will definitely be going again, next time we plan on trying the Sunday lunch menu.

Visited today with our 11 week old daughter for a family lunch, we were made to feel very welcome. Our order was taken promptly so we did not have to wait as they also had a large christmas party in. Food exceeded expectations. My wife and I drove out from Hull to meet relatives who live in Burstwick, but definitely worth the drive out!!! Keep up the good work!

While visiting England from the U.S., we attended my mother-in-law's birthday party at Cafe Nineteen. It was an attractive location for a large party with very good service at both the bar and restaurant. The food was delicious and the entertainment was fabulous! A wonderful time was had by all and I would highly recommend for events as well as general dining.

I decided to take my wife to this restaurant for our anniversary & was not disappointed. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the staff serving behind the bar & after ordering drinks it was not long before we were handed some menus. We sat in the seated area next to the bar which has a view of the golf course. The restaurant was not too busy & we were attended to very efficiently & shown to our table. The tables in the restaurant area are well spaced apart giving diners their own privacy. The choice of food was not vast but sufficient enough to suit most tastes. As well as the normal table menu there was a special menu of the day. The food was cooked & presented well & was of a very good quality. Service was very good & we enjoyed our anniversary. Many thanks Cafe Nineteen. We will be back.

Called last night (08/08) just after 6pm. Had not booked but that was not a problem, ordered drinks and shown to our table, on ordering our meals we were told as everything was cooked fresh we would have a twenty minute wait, we said that was o.k.. What was not o.k. however was a 50 minute wait as the restaurant was not at all busy this was not acceptable. When our meals did finally arrive we did not receive any apology for the wait or even asked if we enjoyed our meals. What we also found disturbing was the constant shouting coming from the kitchen. Will NOT visit again.

Although I live only 2 miles from this venue I made my first visit last Friday. I wish I had been before. The venue is lovely: bright, modern and with lovely views over the golf course. The menu had good variety and the food was an excellent quality. Loved the hand cut chips. Prices were very good and the staff were really friendly. I will most certainly be back again in the near future, next time for dinner I think, This is a little gem but not far from Hedon and easily accessible to people in Holderness and well worth a trip out from Hull. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Have eaten at Burstwick on several occasions, during the day the menu is substantial with an excellent choice of food being on offer, have brought several friends who have all been very complimentary on the food service and excellent course.On an evening the menu changes into a more fitting selection, for a meal in very pleasant surroundings, the staff are excellent and could not be more helpfull or accomadating. The quality of the food is exceptionable for the price, well presented always fresh and hot.If you have not been, all i can say is why not????

It was a nice lunch and our son had a good time hitting golf balls at the driving range while me and the husband finished our lunch. Will come back too try the evening meal.

We've just returned home after a lovely Mothers Day dinner at Cafe Nineteen and already feel the need to go back again. We were made to feel so welcome and the food was excellent. Between us we had a range of main courses from Roast Beef to a Mushroom Stroganoff and all were cooked to perfection. ...So looking forward to a return visit and would recommend it for a lunch or evening visit.

Went for Mothers Day lunch. Really could not have chosen better. Atmosphere food service all 1st class. Mothers both loved it. Very welcoming hosts. Well worth the trip over from the west of the city.

With a varied yet classic menu, Burstwick Country Golf is certainly a pleasurable experience. Set in the time honoured surroundings of their magnificent 18 hole course, BCG sets the bar high, and delivers. Excellent food, excellent staff, highly recommended.

We have shared 2 Valentines' evenings at the golf club, each one of them we have enjoyed, With good food, wine and entertainment in beautifully decorated surroundings. We have also organised a huge 40th birthday party for my husband, at the golf club, and everyone who attended had a fantastic time. We will continue to visit Burstwick Golf Club and wish them all the best for the future.

I have visited cafe nineteen on two occasions and I have not been disappointed at either visit.The staff go out of their way to make you comfortable, relaxed and nothing is a problem.Cafe nineteen offers a very friendly, relaxing venue for a quick bite and evening meal.The food is excellent, my friends and I regularly eat out and we have returned to cafe ninteen twice because of the standard and quality of the meals. We had a vegetarian amongst us and with a little notice he was able to request his favourite meal.We recently booked a third trip back but had to cancel due to ill health so we will be rebooking very soon.

Today we went for Sunday lunch and were very pleased. We have 3 children, 2 3.5 year olds and a 7 year old.The staff were very accommodating and were happy to cater to my requests for the children's meals. The meal was very nice and definitely worth the price. The restaurant has a lovely welcoming environment and is of a high standard. We look forward to going again and would recommend to all.
